Don't think so bud. Some pretty strong sources seem to be saying it's off.
The club should have binned it on Friday.

I hope Turnbull still signs. If he dosn't then it is down to the agent not the club. This could make clear to other players and agents that the club is bigger than anyone person.
The agent concerned may find that other players will think twice before joinng him as Celtic are clearly saying we will not be messed about; take it or leave it.

Well our transfer window has kicked off well, Lennon knew what we needed why are we dragging our heels over signings or is it typical Celtic wait to see if we are in champions league proper to spend.

I thought Derek riordan was going to be a super talent and look how that turned out.

As much as I think the wee guy has bags of potential also, Celtic as a club can't be held to ransom by a 19 year old (who's only played half a season) and his agent.

For me, we move on.

How's it lennys fault if the player doesn't want to come there's both I g lenny can do we're supposed to be after the French cb so it's up to the money men to go the deal not lenny.

He’s away to Norwich.

Guys get real. How could we possibly sign him now after pulling out of the deal? HH.

Regardless of how good he is right now or just potentially. Lennon clearly wanted to sign him. The Club acted in an unprofessional manner by publicly stating where they were DURING contract discussions. This put extra unnecessary pressure on the young boy and now it looks to have backfired and we look like idiots.
Board better act like the professional club we are in future and keep negotiations in house until a deal is either dead or concluded.

GGGG that's pure nonsense. Board has got this one spot on.
This player and his agent have tried to use our club as a bargaining chip to put him down south.
The board also had to keep the fans up to date because if they hadn't the fans would have wanted to burn park head to the ground with the board in it.

Norwich sign him loan him back to Motherwell Come January or even before.

Kev what’s nonsense? Lenny DID want to sign him. You think the board wouldn’t have been able to say we have had a bid accepted and at the moment we are in negotiations with the player and his agent?
Then if he went elsewhere they can release statement saying they offered him 10x what he was on at Motherwell and he was reluctant to sign therefore we have ended negotiations. Please tell me all the other clubs who make it public what a player from another team are asking for in terms of wages during negotiations when deal is ongoing?
This is confidential information that allows other potential clubs to know what you are willing to pay.
Norwich prob though he was a cert to sign for Celtic and only entered the race when it became clear what he was asking for is a standard wage for a player who’s fee is £3m and that Celtic wouldn’t pay it.
If it was private and deal wasn’t struck then the board could of said a BPL team offered far higher wages due to the finances down there and we would of said fair enough.
Now it’s clear we are offering small wages to players like Lustig who will prob leave after being shafted by the board.

£3m Kouassi apparently on £1.2k per week. Just because it's standard in England doesn't mean we should pay it. I don't imagine Edouard demanded a £9m player's wages otherwise he wouldn't be in Glasgow.

You've seen that info too Mike. I found some of it unbelievable when it had gamboa on £31k.
