What a game today, congratulations to both Celtic and Aberdeen for giving us a real Christmas cracker.
First to the game itself some of our play especially second half was great, but also some of our passing especially from Gordon, Lustig, Boyata and Izziguirre was awful, Gordon just seems incapable of learning from his poor distribution.
I hope Tierney makes Saturday as we really need him. But our fighting spirit, especially after that 2nd enalty decision, shone through.
But this is what we can expect from now until end of season. Never a penalty and once again a high, studs showing tackle which could have broke our player's leg goes unpunished, except for a token yellow.
On Saturday we go up against 3 of the 4 officials who are blatant "Celtic haters" Beaton, Ross and Madden. They are DESPERATE to stop us winning the league. How else can you explain the decision of the "random, impartial" fixture computer to schedule a) an away game furthest away on Boxing Day when the usual tradition is to keep teams local, and this is second year in a row this has happened. b) when have 2 crucial fixtures been scheduled away from home so close together. and c) after our european games Celtic have had 6 AWAY games in a row, 7 come February.
On Saturday I am placing BIG bets on a penalty, ordering off (at least one) and lots of terrible tackles on our players going unpunished.

Signing Tim Casgne, Belgium full back.

Hard on the tackle. Boy slipped and tried to pull out but bounced off ball. Tried his best to not hurt ryan.

I bet anything that if it had been one of ours doing that tackle it would have been a straight red card.

Preaching to the choir Tim; The 'random' fixture list is becoming so predictable - just like playing Motherwell away in midweek, immediately after the last three LC finals.
As for the consecutive trips to Aberdeen and Sevco, I would expect that we play both of them at home (back to back) after the split to mirror the half-way fixtures - but I won't hold my breath as the ridiculous split will come into the equation.
McGinn's tackle was high and he did slip on the surface, but you could bet your last pound that it would have been a red if the situation was reversed - and it was a very dangerous contact.
I expect much more of the same for the rest of the season especially with the appointment of the three stooges at Ibrox.
The bottom line as always is as long as we play to our potential and perform to the standards and quality we know we can, we are better than any opponent or establishment barriers in our path.

He mentioned it later mally.
“I have seen it, I think there is a push in the back, ”
“I remember criticising Shinnie against Celtic in the past when he was nudged and didn’t go down.

“Lustig doesn’t need to put his hand on the back of Shinnie. Although what do I know about penalties! ”.

Slip or not Izzy incident was still a penalty even though it was his momentum that took McGinn out. Just because McGinn slips doesn't mean it isn't a dangerous tackle still on Christie.
