Guys, do you think Boyata cares that there is no way back for him at Celtic? Of course not that was the plan all along, as far as he is concerned it’s working out perfectly. The guy is a traitor, if it was up to me I would take any medals he has won for Celtic off him!

Now that he is up for sale im guessing we will be lucky to get £5 million for him, clubs will know that we want to get rid of him and that he wants to go. Should have taken that £9 million from Fulham. Anyone see the rumour about us signing some defender from Ruritania, supposedly a massive Rangers and SG fan (surely a wind up) .

Boyata has no interest in playing for celtic. The only meeting that they should be having is to get him out asap. How would they expect him to face his team mates, fans the manager and staff after what he has done. The guy should remember where he was when Celtic took him. Guy has got a very short memory!

Teflon if we had taken the 9 million then got papped out the CL fans would have blown their top even more than they did.
Rogers knocked it back because he thought boyata would be professional and help the team get through the tie.

Kev83 surely there must have been discussions between the player and management before the CL tie, im sure they could have come to an agreement with him to play in the tie then move at the end of the month. Fingers crossed we can just punt him as soon as possible and get someone in that wants to play for the club.

Teflon67 u may be right about discussions taken place. But l think that was before kompamy was injuried and he played the games in the world cup. Playing in those games have clearly gone to his head and the agent too. If they guy didn't want to sign and said it before the world cup there would be no problem and all this would have been sorted before now. But all the signs coming out of Celtic post world cup was that he was going to sign.

{Ed007's Note - When Boyata said he wanted to wait until after the World Cup before deciding - which he's entirely entitled to do btw - Celtic should have said that's no use to their long term planning and that they would be buying a CB who, if Boyata chose to stay, he would be competing for a place over.
The Club should have forced his hand because as soon as Boyata said that he was working his ticket, there was never a hope in Hell he was going to sign a new contract - Stevie Wonder could see that coming.}

Ed it should have been said to him sign before World Cup or we are selling you, never mind competing for a place. If a player does not want to enter contract negotiations with 18 month left on contract he has to be sold. It can take 6 months to sort the contract then he is down to a year left. If and I say if we were offered £9mill from Fullham and turned it down, someone needs roasted. It must have been noted Boyata was not going to sign before his agent turned up at the training ground. I wonder if BR is making the decisions or not?

{Ed007's Note - That's what I mean, Johnny, the decision should have been taken out of his hands. It was Rodgers that blocked Boyata's sale because with no replacement in place he thought he would play against AEK.}

When Bombscare Boyata goes I hope we don't sign Bombascare no'2 in Jason Denayer. He will be a loan player for the rest of his career. Only Celtic would be daft enough to consider him.
