Ed. Three or four people have told me that paddy Roberts agent was up last week. Something about him coming in on a four or five year deal. Have you heard anything on this. Cheers.
{Ed007's Note - It's Allan Preston (ex-Hearts player that used to be on BBC Sportsound) from Stellar Football that represents Roberts - and their other clients - in Scotland and the story is that he contacted Peter Lawwell the other day to see if Celtic would be interested in signing Roberts on a permanent deal.
It's probably from Preston that ex-Celtic Boys Club player Alex Rae heard that he was coming back too.}

Should his agent really need to be the one to contact us? You’d like to think that we were keeping an eye on his situation and as soon as their window closed we’d put a bid in.

Rodgers himself has said he is keeping an eye on Roberts situation. Now that the Premiership window has closed we may be in a better position to do something.

Might just be me but I’m not 100% on signing Roberts again. He clearly thought he was better than Celtic and is only coming back because he couldn’t get a move elsewhere? I’d rather see a bit more movement in the defence tbh.
I would also prefer it if Brendan would stop tinkering with the team! There’s no coincidence why we went unbeaten in our first season, and looked convincing in doing so.
Martin O’Neill’s team competed in the champions league along with the league and cups yet never seemed to need rested like this team does. 5 changes at the weekend was just utterly ridiculous. He is a very clever man, so hoping he was doing it to prove a point that the quality isn’t in the depth we have.
