Evening times reporting that both Celtic and Villa have met McGinns valuation they're source is saying that people close to McGinn claim that McGinn thinks that first team chances maybe more available at Villa and is now weighing up his options.

If we had offered £2.75mill at the start we would have had him. Someone inside Celtic thought they could get him on a free because he was desperate to join. All the talk about £4mill was smoke and mirrors. PL maybe just outsmarted himself. At £2.75mill he is good business. In 3 or 4 years he will be worth maybe £15mill so because we messed about we may miss a decent player and a big profit. If I were McGinn I would also be a bit unhappy that Celtic didn't want him enough to pay £2.75mill.

I don't think we would have had him at the start.
In my opinion hibs were trying to string Celtic along to see what they could get from England before accepting a bit from us.

Why blame this on Hibs?

They clearly had a valuation of him that we weren’t willing to meet that Aston Villa were. We were clearly waiting based on the assumption he wanted to join us. Now it looks like he’s joining them we decided to meet their valuation.

Poor from us to be honest.

Andy going fae what I heard weeks ago and I've said on here a few time that hibs twice changed the price of the deal when talking to Celtic.

Why not deal with hibs again? We offered £2m which hibs didn’t accept. Now villa have offered what hibs see as acceptable. What have hibs done wrong. It’s celtic thinking we can get him on the cheap that’s the problem.

If celtic hadnt already bid 2mil, villa's bid would have been at that mark too. Villa had to raise it a bit cause we were already at the table. If BR was desperate for him do you not think hed be here. Wait till friday and we will plunder the english market for some decent talent.

1st time posting, if John McGinn does sign for AV then good luck because he will need it let’s look at AV do they get in Europe every season No, Steve Bruce be manager this time next year doubt it, will they get out of championship No so if this ambition then we don’t want him. Also did he not say Celtic was the only team he wanted to sign for .
