Ed interesting comments by BR saying talks ongoing between PL and PSG and that PSG are happy with his progress here. Sounds to me like another loan deal on cards or am i just picking it up wrong. Hopefully it's permanent but even if he was to come back on loan for another season and we can get this deal done asap i'd be happy. Did you say recently his contract with PSG ends next year.

{Ed007's Note - Edouard's PSG deal runs to the summer of 2020, Stan.}

Ok cheers Ed, Do you know if PSG see him as a work in progress that they would like to keep or are we more than capable of getting a permanent deal done if we want to. I think he would be a sensation next season so would be happy even to see the loan extended.

{Ed007's Note - If PSG were overly keen to keep Edouard I doubt they would have agreed an option to sell him this summer. It's similar to Roberts situation at City - neither of those players are going to challenge players that cost tens of millions in transfer fees and wages, if Neymar goes to Madrid what's the chances of PSG replacing him with Edouard?
I said last week that I thought Lawwell would ask PSG to extend Edouard's loan (and possibly the buying option) for another season.}

Makes sense as the price to buy next summer would be less so be a good bit of business. I was never a fan of loans but i can why they are done now, it takes away the risk factor when shelling out on an unknown. Good chance for club to assess before committing to a big outlay on fees and wages. With Edouard would he more than happy to see us buy asap though.

{Ed007's Note - I don't think it would have any real effect on the price except maybe minus another loan fee.}

Would we have first refusal on the permanent move? If not I don't see any benefit to another loan deal.
