I have a feeling Saturday or maybe today might be Dembeles last game. I agree with big Sutton the vibes suggest both parties would be willing to do business. Personally I think we should take the cash as long as the majority is really invested in the squad not to mention the benefits of these millions would have if invested in our youth development. But surely Dembele is better than Brighton a team in free fall and heading to the championship at a rate of knots.

Agree with that. It we could get 20-25 million I'd be happy enough as long as we re-invest at least half. What a difference if we spent 4-5 million on a few players. Would want a new striker in asap so he's ready to go for the 42 CL qualifiers. Agree Brighton would be a poor move, Everton/ West Ham would be better moves.

If the rumour is true that his agent was at the Brighton game, it lends credence to the claim that they are interested, not that they have bid.

Rogers sounded as if he was reiteritating we are a selling club if the money is right. I fail to see how £18m in the English market fits that criteria.

We talk about not being ripped off but if we accept this type of fee, then it's all bullshit from the board.

I don't give a flying feck what you could be earning. If we don't get a fair price we sell when it suits us, he has been poor this year, is this the best time to sell? Naw it's no.

I just don't think our board can refuse a big cheque. They can avoid signing big checks for us to buy quality, but taking them they're a pushover.

{Ed007's Note - I am told that regardless of what Celtic have said, Brighton have spoken with Celtic regarding Dembele and have told Celtic what they would be willing to pay - I don't know the figure. They had initially been approached by a representative of Dembele but were surprised to find out he was unlicensed.....

It's clear our initial hopes of the story being a fabrication was wrong. If they have enquired then they are interested. I doubt with us or them would have disclosed any fee to the press though.

If they accept £18m they can go feck themselves. I don't care what we got him for. If he was moving from Brughton to Everton then Brighton would laugh their arse off at £18m.

We should do the same.

{Ed007's Note - The story was still a complete fabrication though, MP and that's why SLY removed the story from their website and the reporter removed his Tweet. Remember the story was that Celtic had accepted an £18 million bid from Brighton -
which wasn't true.}

They repeated it yesterday. I have no doubt they make up stories, but they seemingly got the club right, so, that was either a lucky guess, or the reporter was tipped off there might at least be interest from them.

We have people guessing who we will get all the time. Rarely do we get it right.

I only hope is we don't sell for the price being banded about. I know that's shit., hopefully.

Punt him. Totally agree we should get best deal as possible but let’s get real if it is £18m that’s a great deal tho I’m hearing it’s £24m. Point for me is we can’t stand still players come and go and he’s one we know was always going to go. Reinvest and carry on Celtic 1st Celtic last Celtic overall.

Welsbhoy I wonder if a move to Brighton would be a last ditch effort to get into the France WC squad by banging in a few in the EPL but I can’t see him getting there no matter who he plays for between now and the summer.

Agreed Pat. Business is business at the end of the day and as long as the money is right I think we should take it. Players don't have the same commitment to clubs as the fans do and even though Moussa has not been publicly saying he wants to go I'm sure he'd love to treble or quadruple his salary if the opportunity arises.
Where he goes (if he goes) is neither here nor there to us. If he goes to Brighton or Barcelona for the same £x fee then so what? HH.

It's claimed that there are replacements ready for those who leave if nessassery which means to me that if the right deal for all parties is put in place then the deals will happen as aposed to saying not for sale going nowhere which was there stance last year it definitely sounds like he's away.

MP you are having a go at people for something that's either not true and hasn't happened.
Shud I have a go at you for marrying Taylor Swift cos u stole my bird lol.

If he does well for us in the Europa, it would enhance his France world cup hopes.

And if he does get to play in the world cup, what will his value be then?, is madness selling him just now, he could be the difference between getting past Zenith, or going out.

If we do get £18m for him, how much do we expect to spend improving the team? We need a defence regardless of the Mousa situation. If we don't do that then the Zenit games will end in certain defeat.

Hopefully Rogers is as aware of that as my cat and demands funds to improve us. We achieve that and we move further ahead domestically. We improve CL quakifucation chances and hopefully not getting humiliated by the better teams.

The board cannot expect to sell all those season books and CL packages, the CL money and attempt to spend buttons to try and sustain that.

I bet they try though. I bet they try.

Why are prophets of doom always predicting the departure of Dembele . Some of you were at it last December / January . Then you started it off with a vengeance last May for the summer window and bleated on about all window . Just because some of the low life media want to upset the Celtic club and fanbase, why should we swallow the bait . Do fans get a weird sense of satisfaction of predicting gloom for the team?
Is there a competition that I haven't heard of with a prize for the person who predicts the departure of our best player the most?
One thing is certain those who have been posting for a year about Dembele's departure will be right . Hopefully he will leave us probably 2018, but almost certainly before 2028 . So fair play to you all prophets of gloom, u haven't a notion when he will leave but he will leave.
