Paddy Roberts: Hoping the deal will be done by Saturday/ Sunday.

Paddy wants to come back, the club are willing to meet city's valuation of £7.8m + add on's. city prefer a loan deal. a lot of work to be done but club are confident. Paddy is happy to sign a 4 year deal, man city would have buy back clause.

Rumours online that the loan fee could be as high as £2.75M for the season. This is from a usually reliable source orher is pretty consistent with his info and posts. Would need to open up Celtic Park like they did with Rodgers if it was a permanent deal!

Every report I've seen would suggest that city don't want another loan deal and are looking to sell, either way I still want him bk in the hoops.

{Ed007's Note - City would prefer a permanent deal. Some clubs, and Roberts himself, would prefer a loan deal.}

Out of interest, if known, why would Paddy prefer a loan deal?

{Ed007's Note - He wants to get a chance to fight for his place at City in the future and he believes he has what it takes to play for them.}

Personally, I would think that he is waiting until City have a manager that appreciates him in the slim hope that Guardiola will move on and he might get a sniff?
However, with the way Man City spend money, chasing success, have a long wait and Celtic are here and now.

I don't think there's any chance whatsoever of wee paddy playing in Man City team ED! And that's not because of the boys ability, it's because they throw silly money at that team every year and youngsters like him don't stand a chance! And it wouldn't matter if guardiola left either because the next big foreign coach they get will be the same! I just hope we're not putting all our eggs in one basket waiting for the wee man and we end up with nobody! I hope a decision is made one way or another very soon, if it's no we move and bring another winger/ striker in and if it's yes then happy days! Just hope there's a back up plan that's all.

I think his attitude is quite refreshing. He signed for City and doesn't want to leave feeling like he's failed. Although I think a happy medium could be a permanent move with a buy-back clause for City (if they want it) .

Maybe Roberts can be the player to show Guardiola that the English youth system can provide top top class players.
