I think the 'mystery' player BR was referring to last week is Bojan!

"Working on it for 6 months" - there were rumours we tried to take him on loan in Jan and also rumours Lee Congerton met with him a couple of weeks ago.

"A number 10" - used to be a striker but has played as a number 10 since being at Stoke.

"Pedigree" - Barca, Milan, Roma, Ajax (Stoke haha) - he certainly has that

"Cost a significant amount" - well he's coming from the EPL which automatically means a chunky fee - £6mil or thereabouts you'd think

Not certain but Bojan ticks all the boxes of the player BR described. How we can get it done sooner rather than later!

BR has said he is after an number 8 a ball playing center mid. anyone who heard the twenty minute tims podcast before it was pulled that same morning it was released will have heard this from BR. he said no 8 was his priority then a CH. depending on the PR situation a RW. he also said a 3rd striking option he would like.

Its a Rogic type player he is looking at, final 3rd baller type player, Bojan would be outstanding imo, but its a wage thing, Id be surprised if we sign anyone from the EPL overrated and overpaid, If Ake worth 20 mill what's jozo worth?

You could be right LM, and I hope so too. Certainly got pedigree, probably on 40k a week and would cost 6-7m if we negotiated well and Stoke dropped that asking price. I certainly think we need a CAM over a CM as Rogic is still a concern for me fitness wise and only Bojan would come close to him ability wise compared to the rest of our squad. Would certainly be the level of quality we're all waiting for. Would just be a shame to see Rogic on the bench, but that's ruthlessness, and that's what is needed to get quality over quantity.

I was thinking that rayman. Didn't want to p*iss on LM's parade though. I must have missed the mention of a number 8 and 10. It could be any position really.
