Working next to CP the day and saw neil lennon enter the building, don't know the significance of him being there but I thought I would share.

Would like to see Henderson, Aitchison, and Nesbitt go out on loan if they are not guaranteed game time next season. McCart also to go back out on loan. Whether Hibs or another SPL club are suitable I don't know but these players need to play regulary at a higher level to develop. It's worked with Ajer. Ralston probably has a good chance of being involved next season.

Sad to say but I think Henderson has to leave permanently for the good of his career.

I have to agree kev, it's a shame though as I have never really seen him having a bad game for us . Its a shame as before the season started last year I would have preferred him to mcgregor, but he came into the side under br and got better and better. I suppose we can't fit everyone in though, I hope he gets a good move for his career .

Stan, how do know that going out on loan has worked for Ajer?
Why do you think the coaches and facilities at other clubs are better than we have?
The main advantage in a player going out on loan seems to be to get them fixed up permanently at another club .
I prefer our top youngsters to stay and learn from top professionals and our top coaches.

Chris my opinion is based on the fact he played 19 games in the SPL and said himself he has improved as a player. I would rather that be the case with all our youngsters rather than them play in the development league. What use is coaching players if they aren't getting the chance to express themselves at a decent level. It was said from the minute Ajer left he was going to Kilmarnock to learn how to play as a central defender, Its a scientific fact it worked.

{Ed007's Note - Chris McCart agress with you, Stan. Only the other day when we released some youngsters he said

"They can’t all be James Forrest or Kieran Tierney who go straight from the Academy to the first-team. Callum McGregor took a different pathway in that he came through the Academy and went on loan to Notts County and then came back. We see the Kieran Tierney and Callum McGregor routes as the two options"

Thanks Ed didn't see that quote but i definitely agree with it. Each player will go on a path that suits them best and the club and coaches will do what is best for them and the club. I'm really looking forward to seeing Ajar, do you think he will be involved this season or go out on loan again to continue his progress as a CB.

{Ed007's Note - I think Ajer is good enough to be in the first team squad making up our 4 CB options along with Simunovic, Boyata and Sviatchenko or his replacement if he leaves. Ajer's proven himself to be more than capable of playing at SPFL level.
Whether that happens or he goes out in loan will become clearer as the window goes on and we see who's brought in.}

Chris, from minimal experience, competitive consistent football has no comparison. That's the difference that ajer has over the rest in my humble opinion.

The main advantage of Ajer going out on loan to Killie is that he was involved in hard competitive, meaningful matches in that relegation dogfight, and McCulloch might not have been the cleanest, most talented, player, but he was a dedicated professional, and might turn out to be a better coach or manager than he was a player, so I think playing real matches would have been better for Ajer, than getting better coaching and then playing development matches.

I'd like to see Ajer get first team games next season, at least 10 to 15 would be decent but if he was to barely play then completely with Stan in that they r better player regular football than sitting on a bench or missing out at all.
Gains experience at spfl level, keeps his game time n match fitness up n it also builds confidence playing regularly, it's not great for a players confidence training great all week n u don't play.
As Chris mccart said there is a route to the 1st team n each player will make their own way there but everubody knows all the coaching in the world does nothing if u never play, it's putting those teachings into practice on that pitch that develop u as a player.
We have so enjoyed really good youth n I hope a couple more make the step up this season, added to a couple more quality signings, Ralston Ajer could start fighting for a spot n would like to see aitchison getting a run out in at least a few games, otherwise get the lads out on loan n getting game time.
As with others bit disappointed Henderson doesn't seem to be making inroads into 1st team as every time I see him think he has looked the part, hopefully another loan n come back n hopefully more game time n experience under his belt to try n establish himself.
Hail hail.
