Is it true we've offered more money for Hayes and Christie on loan ED? Find this really strange mate, I thought we'd offered to much in the first place!

{Ed007's Note - I don't believe it and if it's true it's a truly awful piece of business.}

Thinkin the same ED, makes no sense whatsoever! Paying over a million for a 30 year old squad player while letting Christie go! Just cannot see what we gain from it if it's true!

{Ed007's Note - If it is true I'm hoping the chance to play in England appeals to Hayes more than being a bench warmer at Celtic.}

Christie should be breaking into our team this year rather than being a key player for our closest rivals.

{Ed007's Note - Spot on Davie and I couldn't agree more. Christie should be on our bench as cover for LW/CAM/RW since he can easily play any of those 3 positions at domestic level.}

Hayes will not be going anywhere soon as Aberdeen have bigger things to worry about finding a new manager for a start if the talk in the town is to believed.

Hayes is a decent player for Aberdeen a good player but for me I really hope we have more ambition that to really go after him we need to improve the team not just keep it as is.

Definitely ed, the signing of Hayes would iritate me but no where as much as losing Christie. A loan would be bad enough but Christie as makeweight in a permanent deal for Hayes would be crime of the century.

{Ed007's Note - It just doesn't make sense to me. Although I'm not a fan of Hayes in the slightest but I can see why Rodgers might be interested in him given their history and that he's a decent SPFL level player but to use Christie in the deal is baffling me.}

Maybe Rodgers is aware of something in Christie's character and behaviour that he doesn't want influencing other young Celtic players . Before anyone thinks I am picking on the boy, I don't know anything re his off- field behaviour but it would explain why Brendan is happy enough for him to be away at least for another season

I def think Brendan can bring Hayes on like he did with Armstrong and look forward to him signing . It goes without saying that if he joins both in forums and on the stands we should give him a very good welcome and give him time.

Or maybe he thinks the young boy will simply benefit from another season out on loan playing regular first team football.

No need to panic. The Hayes move reminds me of every other domestic siging. Similar to Barry Robson signing who was excellent for us even at European level as was Hartley.

So i can see why with our recent success financially and on the pitch that fans want a big name but give Hayes a chance.

As for Christie. He is young and won't get in front of Rogic or Armstrong atm. Good thing is he is quality and when one of them get sold he will step in with ease.
