I've heard that Brendan has 5 main targets for the summer and prepered to spend round £15m mark.

Joe Gomez - Liverpool (£3.5m)
James McCarthy - Everton (£6.5m)
Henry Onyekuru - Eupen (£4m)
Patrick Roberts - Man City (500k Loan)
Dominic Solanke - Chelsea (500k)

If a deal can't be done for Roberts then there's a winger who plays for Partizan Belgrade who would be our next option.

No chance one or two will come in depending on who goes CB and a number 10 and maybe if we are lucky Wee paddy Roberts.

cant see us getting Gomez or McCarthy that cheap tbh, not with the overinflated prices down there, onyekuru will go to mid table EPL team, id be happy wi paddy on a new deal atm, armstrong also, don't think we will be shopping for EPL players, wages would scupper most for a start.

If we didn't lose any key players, shipped out those who aren't needed, and brought in those five, I'd be a happy tim.

Spot on JimTim, I'm n agreement with u mate n even getting rid of a few n bringing in Roberts solanke n onyekuru etc I'd be happy, it's just the right quality in certain positions. I would be over the moon however if we brought in a top goalkeeper Roberts n even solanke or onyekuru or another forward type, the keeper position is one i think needs addressed asap, specially for champions league.
We have a good squad so far n we will only improve, with a good bit of investment we could see progression in Europe n Being there regularly as well as racking up trophies, glasgows green and white the futures green and white.

Bigshaw, I've been banging on about how I think we've regressed from Forster to Gordon since it happened. I've warmed to Gordon a bit more, but has he really been tested? At European level I would like to give him a chance and hope the big mistakes are behind him, but I fear there might just be a blunder there waiting to happen.

Actually, what am I saying. I'd like a new keeper.

JimTim, in my opinion Gordon has stepped up and made some amazing and crucial saves. He is a quality keeper but we do need something new, I was hoping the Costil rumour would be floating around for a bit longer but I really think Gordon is for Rodgers, can't see anyone new coming in sadly.

Would love us to go for someone like Sigurdsson from Swansea but I feel he is out of range now with Swansea staying up.

CG has went up in my estimations Ken, the overriding feeling though is it's a position we've went backwards in.

Let's not forget mind, BR did try to replace CG. I think most of us on here said at the time De Vries wasn't the answer. Thankfully BR wasn't stubborn and showed good management by going back on a decision. Sometimes managers show too much loyalty to a signing.

I'd love us to stump up for a younger bit of quality. Timo Horn I've mentioned on here for quite a while. Alban Lafont looks the dog's but he's probably out of our reach. Or Karius at Liverpool. He looked really promising in Germany but has found it hard for games. Worth a cheeky bid.

Ed007 said it best he's a great number 1 just not for Celtic. He has made some decent saves n kept us in games here n there but there have been too many karate kick moments, blinder saves etc that i feel while comfortable at spfl level i feel we need a better goalkeeper for Europe. I look at a goalkeeper n dontjudge them solely on the but allow me to throw this out there, when looking at a goalkeeper i think is he going to save a last minute penalty or a big moment penalty when the pressures really on n i just don't see that with Gordon. Boruc n Forrester i always had faith in in that situation.
Don't get me wrong JimTim i agree mate with u and the others he has improved under Brendan but i just feel we need someone of top quality in that position.
We r not far away from a really good side with a couple leaving n the right quality coming in we have a bright future. So so hope we get Paddy signed up permanently or for at least another year with a view to permanent as he is absolute class n will go on to be a top player. He is that lubo, Nakamura, type player n delivers in Scotland as well as Europe.
As always great to be a Tim.
Hail hail.

Not really sure about Mccarthy at 6.5 million. Not sure we're he'd fit in.

Mat Ryan - Valencia would have to be considered should we need a new keeper. Out on loan and would be a great pick up, fits the bill perfectly for us.

McCarthy would fit in to our team like a glove, be an amazing signing. He would be my number 1 signing, love this guy n he's a tim from glasgow n would run through brick walls for us, and he is pure class. hh.
