Being reported that the gaffer is getting 6 million to spend in the window.

Is that the Van Dijk money if he goes to Chelski? I believe that McCarthy was our number one target, 6m might be enough, but Gueye is off to the AFCON and Everton may be reluctant right now. Injury concerns over him too.

spend the whole £6m and buy Patrick Roberts on a perm deal, then in the summer buy Mcarthy.

Think it will be for more than just one player to be honest.

We are not going to buy Roberts for 6 mil, Man City paid around 12 mil don't think they are going to loan him out for progress then let him go for half the price, let's get real guys, we won't get him on a perm deal.

Majority of that is add ons mate. I'm sure I remember Ed saying the fee was around or even under 6 million, the adds on depend on performance. Also keep in mind he was bought by a different manager so would not be that strange for him to be let go. however the real issue is when other English clubs hear he is available there will be many out there willing to offer more than we can afford.

{Ed001's Note - I am pretty sure they paid nearly £13m for him but you are right that Pep is not keen on him and the recruitment policy at City in general is something he wants changed. There was a bit of a set-to after they played Liverpool between himself and Txiki Bergiristan over that. If Celtic want to take him on a permanent, they will find Citeh are very receptive to an offer right now.}
