If we sign both, will we sell Ambrose and Boyata then as we have Jozo, Eric and the 2 youngsters that have played.

Does it also spell the end of Mulgrew?

Decent player mate seen him a couple of times! Think he would add something we've lacked and that's being able to defend set plays! We've missed a physical presence in there lately. not a world beater but I think he would do a job! U think we'll get him or toure over the line ED?

{Ed007's Note - I think there's a better chance of Toure. The Duffy deal would be rushed and I can't see the player doing that. He'll see what's on offer elsewhere.}

Alright/ good I would say DRB. He gets stuck in, and is fairly mobile. That's about all I can say though.

Duffy would show some heart and passion at least which can't be said for any of our CB's except Erik.

Kevbhoy I think you are being harsh on simunovic. The guy played for weeks with a broken bones in his knee.
This that shows plenty heart.

Kev I totally agree about Jozo. People have written him off he had a pretty innocuous injury which he played through the pain barrier when a lot of today's pros would be lying in Ross hall sipping orange juice waiting on their 5th scan. Bones heal better than ligaments I think so let's just wait and see when he's fit. If he is a derk and doesn't ever get fit due to recurring oR new innocuous injury's one after another then he can gtf.

My word of the day; innocuous :)

Sorry guys I never even considered Jozo in that as he's not really played. I was more meaning Efe and Boyata.

Agreed, I heard from a friend who knows one of Celtics physios. The physio said that Jozo could be another Van Dijk for what he's seen. Never write him off too early!

I've heard the only thing that's stopping him being van dyke is getting his girlfriend pregnant then leaving her and some long black curly hair.

Scott Brown said Jozo and Virgil are the two best CBs he's ever played with. Granted for Hibs, Scotland and even with us he doesn't have a great list to chose from but you could see the calming influence Jozo instantly had. I think there's a good player there long term.

Agree with most here think jozo looked solid in the games he has played, still young n within him n big eeik will b quality 2gether. Just hope jozo can get fit n stay fit, although fact he kept playing despite an injury, whether he knew or not strikes me as an old fashioned type, you play on when injured. If we can just get a solid consistent partnership in central defence I think our progression in europe' may just be that bit easier, i don't just mean this season I'm thinking longer term. Add to that kt and lustig/ janko. Midfield brown n Johansen Roberts dembelle and rogic or Henderson with Griff up top. That's a good team there with a strong spine, wuld prefer a better keeper than Gordon, also toure would b a decent signing 4 experience, add to that rumours of Joe Allan and my wish list of elynoussi and a striker/ forward, Sergio arauju, ziyech, even soriano, or vincent Jansen have been mentioned. Would even like to see us go 4 Jordan Rhodes, great goal scoring record and he's Scottish, not advocating buying every player that's Scottish but he's shown he can score goals anywhere. Hail hail.

I personally believe that rogic is one of the best players at the club and I'd be very surprised if he isn't a crucial part of BRs plans this year. Problem is we have too many midfielders who haven't had a chance to prove themselves, I'd love to see them in action more often this season (Christie, Allan, Henderson etc. ) . I'm sensing big things to come at paradise this season with so much talent in our team. Just need to make it through that champions league qualification and I believe we may have something special.
