Just seen a paper has started linking us Steven fletcher this morning!!
Can't wait till he retires and we stop hearing about that dud!

Could be something in it this time with him being a free agent. BR in charge and the Rangers back, twilight of his career - could happen.

DG's cousin was under the impression last week he was close to joining. Not sure what's happening there but neither really gets the pulses going.

Fletcher career is a total myth
The guy never scores goals
His agent should be running the country if he can get people to spend that type of money on that clown.

We've been linked with him for nearly ten years now and looking at his record over a decade would suggest we made the right decision - not just because of his goals to games ratio, but because of his injury problems.
Too late now imo and we should be looking at younger more mobile and powerful front men.

Agree with that these papers must be struggling for things to report and they even come up with Danny Graham wanted also these papers must be desperate.

I posted a few months ago about this. I was told that it's a done deal but I really hope it's not!

Its a load of mince. If he did sign, i would be very worried as to whether BR is the right manager to take us forward.

{Ed007's Note - If Fletcher signs it's a clear indication that the new manager isn't in control of transfers. With Fletcher being out of contract this is Lawwell and Park's perfect chance to finally get their man after courting him for years. Yet another signing from Park's time at Hibs.}

I can't understand why Park is still here. Surely Rodgers has connections that would be a far better option.

That's a great point Ed; I hope once BR has his feet under the table a wee while and gains some clout he can get shot of Park - although he seems to have the ear (and fountain pen) of PL and will take some shifting.

{Ed007's Note - We're linked with him every window and I don't believe for a minute that he would be on any list of potential targets that Rodgers would have in mind.}

What I am sick of is other agents using our club is a selling point for their clients to get moves to other clubs by using Celtic links to get them either move or better deals. Next it will be Southampton wanting Rogic or Biton.

John park should have got the bullet ages ago! Our transfer dealings especially in the last 2 years has been nothing short of criminal! Ciftci scepovic Cole CKR to name a few! And to have one striker of any note in a squad that contains nearly enough midfielders to make 2 teams is scandalous! It will be interesting to see how Brendan deals with this clown!

Forward playing positions signed under Parks time
Killen
Mizuno
Fortune
Rasmussen
Kamara
Murphy
Ljungberg
Bangura
Rabiu
Brozek
Miku
Lassad
Balde
Boerrigter
Pukki
Fridjonsson
berget
Tonev
Wakaso
Scepovic
Guidetti
GMS
Duffy
Cifti
Cole
CKR

That's what I can think of off top of my head.
What has that cost in fees, wages etc? The few big transfer fees he gets credit for have well sucked up these costs.

Forwards have been a huge signing negative but if you dig further and look at all our signings the question which needs addressed is why Parks still in a job, a simple kpi would and should have addressed this long before now.

Alarming to see it in black and white stevo.

The worst part of the above is that Nadir Cifti cost Celtic the same money as the entire Rangers squad!
