Hearing we're in talks with young Roberts from Man city ED! Really don't get it if we are! Why play other teams 18 year olds instead of our own youngsters! What's your opinion mate?

{Ed007's Note - I really don't think there's much in this story, where's the gain for CFC in the deal? It would be pointless taking anyone on a 6 month loan that there isn't at least a realistic option to buy. This move would be a complete waste of money and time and as you've mentioned it's holding back our own young players taking loanees in.}

Totally agree with you Ed completely pointless getting anyone on loan for 6 months unless there is an option for further spell. If RD is wanting a winger surely there is some youngsters of our own to give a chance too. Plus we have now Christie and GMS is showing a wee bit now. I think we should save our money and put it to good use in the summer. What do you think ED?

Totally agree! If we can't win the treble this year with the current team we're as well chucking it! Any signings have to be for July onwards! Ideally players who will walk into the team, or highly rated young players for the next 5 years! The other kid at City who played for Stromgodset is out of contract I think so I could understand that, but Patrick Roberts is totally pointless! He is a brilliant young player but he'll never be ours so it's totally pointless! We at least had Denayer for a year, even that was no good in the long run because when he left we back to where we started, and needing to replace him! We also spent a year coaching a player, paying a player and possibly paying a loan fee! For me loans are only worthwhile if you need a player in an emergency or if you have the option to buy! They also don't put down any roots, buy a property etc etc because they know they are leaving!

Defo agree these loan deals have got to come with option to buy or we are just using out coaches and training to help other teams. Anyone know any news of the boy fae Molde we are supposed to be looking at?

Is an inferiority thing, if its a youngster at man city or man utd. obviously they must be better players than we've got, there are tablets you can take, so i've been told.

It's not even the fact he might get in the side aindoh. Where we we left when we lost Denayer?

Our objective is the CL. If this boy will play a part then fine. If not it's another total balls up.

Not that's he has made any European balls ups before.

Just mentioning this could be one. :)

I completely agree with every one here it would be extreme stupidity on our behalf but would we be happy if it was at least an 18 month loan if this boy is as good as being said? An additional quality player for next season wouldn't be a bad thing except holding back your own players!

Read somewhere online that deila doesn't want any loan signings unless there is an option to buy.

An 18 month loan deal would be acceptable - a 6 month loan deal just totally ridiculous! I would be happy though if we never loaned a player again, unless there was a stipulated fee at the end, with any loan fees etc deducted!

Roberts from City to Celtic is just another rumour based on very little . As Ed and many more have said it is difficult to see any benefit to Celtic . Maybe the rumour will stir up and annoy Celtic fans but apart from that I cannot see the thinking behind.

Il take any winger on a loan that will keep james forrest away from team.
