Juan Delgado. The Chilean youngster was linked with a move to Celtic in the Spanish press recently, with a website stating that Celtic had submitted a bid for the Colo Colo talent.

Now it is being reported in Chile that this mystery bid has been accepted and that Delgado is on his way to Glasgow.

He looks like an outlet, strong runner who his team look to stretch the opposition in wide areas. He can hold the ball and looks like he has good feet. Looks like he doesn't mind chasing either. Perhaps we'll work on his movement in the penalty area if he is to play as ST but he does have goals in him and that ratio may only improve if he's told to play further up. For me, he's an unknown entity but that, added to the little I can see on facetube actually gets me a wee bit excited. Would prefer Araujo for that sort of forward though.

Word is he is coming over for a trial with an option to buy.

To be fair to Celtic they seem to be trying hard to get the new players in quickly. If we get who we want then RD will have no excuses. My gut feeling is he will work his magic and get us through!

I agree we really look like we have our targets in order and back up targets lined up as wel! If RD can get who he wants we will have a cracking chance for the CL groups stages!

Would there be any point in him coming over now for a trial when all the players are away.? Would it be normal to disclose that someone was coming on a trial in about 3 weeks in case someone else hijacked any possible transfer?
