Celtic could look to Groningen to replace Virgil van Dijk with William Troost-Ekong.

The former Fulham and Tottenham youngster left White Hart Lane in 2013, at which point he joined the Dutch club - who coincidentally sold Van Dijk to Celtic that summer.
Troost-Ekong's contract with Groningen will expire this summer and, although they've had discussions over a new deal, he favours a return to Britain.

Celtic are now keeping an eye on him and he could be a cheap option to replace Van Dijk - who will probably leave Parkhead in the summer transfer window.

William Troost-Ekong's contract with FC Groningen runs until 30-06-217 and he is currently on loan to FC Dordrecht until this summer. He only left Spurs for FC Groningen in the summer of 2013 signing a 4-year-deal. He played 2 games for them before joining FC Dordrecht on loan in January 2014 until the end of the 2013/14 season then last summer he was sent back to FC Dordrecht on loan for the entire 2014/15 season.
That's why the name of the source website is filtered out, Tony, they just make up stories to attract hits without checking their facts, hit-whoring. If they can't get his contract details right what chance do you think their rumours are true?
