I hear that there is a rumour going around that Crystal Palace are looking to bid for Broonie in January. Anyone else heard anything?

Seen it on bbc but a genuinely don't think broonie would leave especially for a relegation battle

I pray to the big man Brown stays. Red card at the weekend aside, he is so valuable to us. Just look at us wihout him, both at home and even in Europe. How much would it cost to get somebidy in like him? You're talking tens of millions in my opinion. Just get him signed up. Increase his wages if need be.

Agree JimTim my mates used to slate me because I constantly backed him but needless to say they all big Broonie fans now, heart of the team the bhoy.

Yeah I agree. imagine if he did leave though. who would take over club captain? I hope broony stays for another 3/4 years. no one in the current squad jumps out as our next captain right now

I can't see Brown leaving Celtic or us letting him leave. I think it would take far more than 5M for us to part with his services.

From my understanding, Brown has 1.5 years left on his contract and the club are due to open negotiations with him to extend his stay.

That being said if a crazy offer comes in [far more than 5M] then it may test Lawwell's resolve.

I thought his contract was up next summer wouldn't think he would leave for a relegation battle but you never know he's coming to the latter stages of his career and might look for a big pay day but I don't think he would but according to other Celtic player's he's a tight fisted bar-steward lol Broony Broony

{Ed007's Note - Brown's contract is up at the end of this season (June 2015) but the club has an option for another year on it.}
