Heard today that Samaras's agent has been in touch about him resigning.Personally I don't want him back, time for a clean break for all parties IMO.

Nooooo please someone tell me this is not true, a couple of my mates have re-newed this season because the Greek Tragedy has gone

2.) 25 Jul 2014
Would have him back in a heartbeat we were stronger with him at the club!

Wouldn't be surprised, But it's old news that Vlaar from villa will be Lovrens replacement.

So we were chalky one decent game every dozen, just goes to show how much we're letting our standards slip

Steve I understand where you are coming from and I agree with some of what you are saying but he isn't or hasn't been replaced we have 4 very similar strikers at the club we are very week on both flanks and we lack a creative midfielder no 10 and a new cb but nothing has been done for over three years that would turn heads at paradise mate . At least when he is on his game he can hurt even the best teams .

Oooppppsss. Sorry Ed, my reply was meant for Van Dijk to Southampton?

{Ed007's Note - If you resend it I'll post it on the right thread, I never noticed it.}

Might be backward thinking but would we get better on a free? A lot of us are open to some of the current squad getting a chance under the new system and I think Sammy is better than some of those guys. don't think it will happen. NL wanted to keep him as far as I could see. I don't see PL making a U turn.

9.) 26 Jul 2014
Oh, please let this not be true. Think PL was glad to get him off the wage bill, but it worries me he hasn't got a club yet. Tells you everything I suppose.

10.) 26 Jul 2014
I think it's absolutely terrible the way yous go on about him he was a great servant for the club and yous have very short memories he has had some amazing displays in Europe and domestic we have had a lot worse than sammy at the club that's for sure I for one would bring him back to the club. He loved his time there and took a massive wage cut to come from city so do us a favour and lay off the big man.

Sam maybe if I had a short memory I wouldn't despise this guy as much as a player, I was scarred a long time ago by season upon season of abysmal performances from him, If you think that playing 2 or 3 good games a season is acceptable well there's no hope for us.

12.) 26 Jul 2014
Am sure he played more than 2 or even 3 good games for us. And for having no hope for us havint we just won the spl 3 seasons in a row and qualified for the champions league too am sure sammy played his part in that. Just think to give a ex player such a hard time is wrong bet yous were all singing his name after the old firm game when he was unplayable that day not to mention the winner against spartak Moscow away, if am not wrong think that was a defining game in our qualification to the last 16 yeah thought so hope the big man signs and makes a lot of people eat there words.

Is that you yerself Sami? You've just proved me right 2 or 3 good games a season. I would list his abysmal games but I'm sure there must be a limit to length of posts, it would make the bloke Evingu's posts seem short

14.) 28 Jul 2014
Wayne biggins

I can't believe the nonsense that continues with the Sami issue. He has had his moments of dismay, but, we're a better team with him in it. Quality is quality and when he's on his game, he is truly world class. I'd love to see him resign. He is a solid veteran at 29. Give him 2 years and then look to part ways. Enough of bringing in young lads we HOPE will provide something SOMEDAY. Even when they do, we sell them anyway. If he wants to stay, we should welcome his loyalty with open arms.
