According to another site Everton will make a bid to get Lenny. They cite the source as from inside Celtic Park. If this is true, and i'm not so sure, would he take it?

In my opinion I think he might. The only stumbling block might be Everton have very little to spend, and until they find a buyer will tread water in the EPL. There is also the problem with their ground.

Which brings us to who would replace him? I would imagine Owen Coyle would be tipped heavily, although he done himself no good with his statements regarding the Celtic job before Lenny got it. Hopefully we won't have to find out. green jhedi

Lennon made a statement 2 weeks ago saying he would only leave if it was to a "really big" team, Everton aren't but I agree GJ, I think that job might turn his head and I would understand if he did go!
I've fot a wee feeling "Jose" could head to Man U but reading between the lines it's Moyes and he takes felliani with him £20mil plus the usual treasure chest a new manager is promised? Lennon wouldn't mind having just the £20mil to spend! Add another 5 to that and Lennon could just gives us that for hoops and Big Vic lol

I think Lenny has unfinished business here at Celtic. I for one do not think he will leave. He is MR Celtic and I think only a top top club will tempt him away. Everton is a good job, but like you said, Everton have little money to spend. I reckon MON might be a good candidate for the Everton job whilst hoping Lenny stays with us!

Everton are a big club

4.) 08 May 2013
IMHO if Everton offer Lenny a position he would go. If so maybe all of this was decided months ago. I also think there will be a replacement lined up but I would be amazed if its The OC. Who it could be in such circumstances I have absolutely no idea. It also gives CFC the excuse the break up the team and pocket a huge amount of cash. Maybe Henke is returning after all. sopotcelt.

Feel bad saying it but if it was true and it did happen I wouldn't be overly dissapointed with lenny goin. he's done an amazing job wae us but hand on heart bein truthful I just wouldn't be 2 gutted that's just my oppinion though would be more than happy if he stayed aswel

Yeah pmcfc, but what Lennon said and what I repeated, a "really big" club. not just a big club because there's lots of them lol

JJbhoy, imo Lenny is already at a top top club and not exactly steam-rollering the opposition in the SPL, so for you to suggest a" top top club" in the EPL will look for his services is ridiculous. Stevie

8.) 08 May 2013
The word is Martinez is the man to replace Moyes heavy rumour down south. Lennon is second favourite at the bookies. I can't see it but like GunnieBhoy I really don't know if I would be that upset if he did leave apart from the few fantastic results this season we have lost more games this season than we have in the past he clearly has favourites and will defend them to the end even when they are terrible! We all know who they are! I love Lennon and always will for what he has done for this club so if he stays so be it! No matter what our great club will still be here

If lennon went I like to see mjallby given the job. mark

Everton have never been relegated and are a big club. Spent most of their history in the top half of the top division. Very loyal and large support. They don't have the appeal of Liverpool to the wider world but if somebody can go in there and do a moyes it would be a very good job indeed. There will be plenty of candidates but I think they will go for long term stability with a young up and coming manager and ignore the usual suspects. Lennon will be discussed I'm sure.

11.) 09 May 2013
Stevie, I agree that Lenny is at a "top top club" to use my own words. However, I think you have misunderstood what I was saying. I did not say that a top EPL club will be looking at him, I was saying that I don't think Lenny will be turned by the Everton job should they pursue him, as they are not a top top club compared to our fantastic club Celtic! I have nothing against Everton, I like them as a club but in terms of stature, Celtic are bigger.

If Wigan go down then I would think Martinez would jump ship. The thing with Neil is he has had a good year with celtic & his transfer targets have all but paid off. Hooper was a hot topic in December look at him now? Same could be said for Neil. If we don't make CL or get a decent run in Europe the spot light will be off him.

He's not got the greatest budget at celtic but really joe Lesley Adam Matthew & big vic IMO 3 of our best players. 2 were free & one cost 1m? Neil can worth with low budgets & find gems. if he doesn't go this gear I would expect it go be next.

13.) 09 May 2013
I wouldn't be bothered if lennon left for Everton, i'm sick of his moaning plus what use is he always sitting in the stand. Plenty of other good managers going around.

14.) 09 May 2013
Lenny will NOT leave Celtic what can everton offer him, a league cup final at the most, if he does go I will be shocked, but then look at the sh"t he has had to put up with off the manky mob then the biggots up at Hamden you could not blame him if his misses says let's go, but I know the love he has for Celtic I have spoke to Lenny on two occasions and it doesn't take a genius to see he is as diehard as the next Celtic fan he is living his dream and I'm willing to bet that lenny will be at paradise in 5 years time his work is not done by a long way, he wants the treble and a few more years in the cl, then he might think of moving on, jodrok

15.) 09 May 2013
I would say let him go. He has done well and now with THE rangers not in the league, it gives us the oppertunity to invite King Henrik to come in and have a couple of years to bed himself in without the usual stress. Great move if you ask me. Stan

16.) 09 May 2013
Not only Lenny leaving being a huge concern but not only will he take his backroom team with him but also the scouts as well, as let's be honest it is them who identify the gems; hooper, Ledley, Mathews and big Vc to say the least.

17.) 09 May 2013
Celtic fan for over 50 years and I hope lennon goes tactical mess moaning complaining time to go lenny bring in malky mckay or we jackie

18.) 09 May 2013
If Lenny does go (and to be honest not sure if i'm happy or not) I think the big thing is that he will take some of his backfround staff with him- i. e mr park who has a canny ability to find great transfers. I think that would be a bigger loos than lenny. Big G

It might be possible NL may take this opportunity to leave - as much as he knows and loves the club.
He and his family have (and no doubt will still) been the victims of sickening bigotry and sectarian hatred from morons.
He has never expressed a desire to leave, so maybe it is pure speculation, but if the board are 100% behind him and wish to keep him they will make an announcement and offer him a new deal. Won't they?

JJ

20.) 09 May 2013
I just can't believe some of the posts on here. Lenny Loves the club and even though he makes mistakes (he is still learning) every year we are improving. He Loves the club and as long as the fans want him to stay he will go nowhere. Tell you another thing most managers who would perhaps come in and replace Lenny would go to any EPL team or even some championship teams for that matter in a heart beat. If we get a run in the Champions league again this year it proves the man has what it takes and what we achieved so far was no fluke. If I was Neil Lennon the only thing that would turn my head towards another club is some of the comments on this thread. CraigyBhoy

"The only stumbling block might be Everton have very little to spend"

- I think this is the most likely reason that he is in the running. They will have noticed what he has done here without spending much.

22.) 09 May 2013
Hey, If NL want's to go and try a new challenge he has more than earned it. Been listening to the SevCo side bemoaning "what Ally's been through". Nothing compared to NL a few years ago.

NL will alway's have my thanks and respect, as will any Celt great who want's to have a bit of piece away from the hassle.

GBNL (and if the new manager is Henrik then we'll just have to accept it - yippee!)
