In a season littered with strange games last nights surely was the weirdest yet? First half we tore them to ribbons, 5-6 goals up would not have flattered us, and played with great pace and intensity to steamroller them.
Second half? started well then seemed to drop off, lost focus and passed pretty sloppily. Credit to St Johnstone though they seemed to up their energy and fed off our hesitation. Even then they still never really caused us much trouble in open play, obviously set plays were a different matter!
Being honest, I could not see anything wrong with either of their goals, as I thought Matthews to Commons was a goal, but not having seen it on TV I reserve judgement. As someone pointed out there did not seem to be much protesting from the Saints players, so who knows.
Some fans were giving Lenny a bit of stick last night, not me. I think the display in the first half justified his selections. A bit more clinical and we would have cruised it out and freshened up with substitutions. We do however need to start closing games out. We still look vulnerable at 1-0 when teams up their effort and that needs to be addressed. Maybe we did play to many players who played on Saturday, some were looking a bit leggy late on, but it should have been over by half time, let's not forget that. green jhedi

First time poster, thought lasts nights result wasn't that much of a suprise personally when i seen the team, stokes benched after scoring 2 at wknd, and lassad starting before watt, i think that its time lenny started to show more confidence in some younger players instead of persisting with out of form ones. forrest to me is one dimensional, he has pace and that's it, he seldom brings much to a game anymore, juve last week for example, he reminds me a lot of mcgeady in final season, one had skills and tricks, one has pace but unfortunately there final ball and delivery is to often v poor, watt has pace, more direct, better vision and more potent goal scorer, show some faith in the bhoy lenny. hail hail, god bless the celtic+

Watched it on tv ALBA last night and we played well first half and their 'Keeper had a blinder all night. The team tired as you say and our shots at goal became less and less. 1-0 was always a dodgy lead in that case.
They also had a perfectly good goal disallowed and Wilson could have been red-carded for retaliation so we were lucky.
I'm concerned about Hooper as he is having another 'drought' and maybe needs a 'rest' with Stokes and Watt available?
I am not a Forrest fan either as he seems to be going backwards after much promise - especially when you see what McGinn is doing up the road at Aberdeen - Anyway.
Even with the hated black socks! It was another point on the road in the title.
