Dear Santa
I've seen some poor Celtic teams and some great Celtic teams and i know that we can't always be fantastic, however if there was a Santa and he could work his magic with signings I would have much to ask for
It current team is decent in every department. Not great. Not poor. But decent which makes upgrading very difficult because if we want to progress you could basically upgrade any position.
I would still be tempted by three key positions and they are all to do with Europe and qualification and being more competitive
I would propose a new goalkeeper and a new box to box midfielder. Not a brown or a rogic ( more of a petrov type ) . I think Armstrong is doing well but I think we need a better number 8 in there. Oh and a new centre half with toure and Ambrose moved on
So three positions GK CB and a CM
In terms of improvement, I would love to see Celtic develop a harder centre, ie develop a toughness ( fair but rough) with a little more aggression in defence. We're too nice back there
Real highlights this year for me
Rogic
Tierney
Armstrong
Brown
Applause to Forrest and a wee mention to Craig Gordon for at least improving in the distribution department. He has come on in that department ( slightly )
Anyway Santa, that's me for now
See you if you can work your magic and don't listen to anyone else with their wish lists. They're misguided and lacking in judgement!
At least two starters mind!
Thanks Santa and safe journey tonight
Oh and 3 points at Ibrokes albeit I don't imagine that will involve you working any of your magic.

Enjoy the day bhoys
Anyone know if Sinclair is 'out for a month' as some reports states, or is there a chance?
My team if SS is unavailable would be:
Gordon
Lustig
Eric
Joao
Izzy (shame for KT, missing the final)
Brown
Armstrong
Roberts
Forest
Rigid
Moussa
I would want to see LG coming of the bench for a goal, as he has been top drawer for us, turned his career/ life around and has really turned into a great player for us.
The dons will be no mugs today, we need pass the ball with speed tonfrustrate them. I reckon they will come out the traps with aggression to try and stop us dominating the midfield.
Rogic (if starting) will be key
Hail hail.

Should we go with Bitton or Armstrong in the middle with Brown
I think it should be Armstrong as he has energy he can support the front line and get back to help out the defence
Bitton on the other hand slows the game down (at the wrong times)
Doesn't shoot doesn't track back doesn't support the forwards
Oh and Busqets will tear him a new one.

You would probably have to go back to the 60s or 70s to find a better Celtic team than the Celtic team under MON that reached the UEFA cup final. Since then we have not had a team as good as that one, although with the right backing we may about to see another great team under BR.
Anyway, the question I wanted to pose, was, what players who have played for Celtic since MON left would have made it into the UEFA cup final team.
To make it easier to answer I have included a list of the UEFA cup final team:
Douglas
Mjallby
Balde
Valgaeren
Agathe
Thompson
Petrov
Lennon
Lambert
Sutton
Larsson
My team would be:
Forster
van Dijk
Balde
Mjallby
Agathe
Tierney
Petrov
Wanyama
Lambert
Sutton
Larrson
So only three changes for me and I reckon that team would have beat Porto.

With the weekends match fast approaching, who would be your starting XI?
I would go with:
Gordon
Gamboa Simunovic Sviatchenko Tierney
Brown McGregor
Roberts Armstrong Sinclair
Griffiths
Would rest Dembele, Forrest, Rogic and Biton but have them all on the bench. I think Rogic and Forrest especially need the rest as you don't want to run either into the ground as it wasn't that long away they were constantly injured.

Team for today:
Gordon
Gamboa O'Connell Sviatchenko Izzy
Brown Armstrong
Roberts Christie GMS

I know this is not our strongest team but still more than capable of beating Kilmarnock. Would keep most of our 1st choices fresh for Man City game.
