It's being reported by a newspaper Norwich have offered Hooper 30,000 a week.

Believable5 Unbelievable10

Without celtic accepting a bid for him. Worst paper out. Total BS

Raff

Agree0 Disagree0

If they have that's called tapping up. Don't believe everything written in the rags. Cheeky Bhoy

Agree1 Disagree0

They can't ogger him anything as he is our player. and they could face sanctions if this is tried about offering him terms

hail hail

Marco1888

Agree0 Disagree0

How do you know an offer has not been accepted?

Agree0 Disagree0

Complete tosh, that would be tapping up and punishable.

Agree0 Disagree0

How's that if a bid hasn't been accepted? As with the other posts, that's called tapping up and there are serious sanctions for that in todays game! Paper BS trying to unsettle the player even more and if not norwich need to be answering some questions regarding the story.

Shugthetim82

Agree0 Disagree0

We know a bid hasn't been accepted cause I doubt norwich would be paying the fee celtic would be demanding in january....summer yeah maybe, but still doubtful. They are looking at kayal.

Joe Ledley and Kris Commons set to sign deals that will see them stay at Celtic until May 2016.

Celtic rumoured to be showing an interest in Olympiacos striker, Konstantinos Mitroglou.

~seamus~

Believable4 Unbelievable7

Doubt we would get him sounds stupid but he scored a hat-trick in 1 of the champions league games n 1 or 2 goals in ther games so i would imagine a few other european teams would be lookin at him n would probs out bid us looks a good player tho would be a crackin signin

gunniebhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

I just youtube this lad, from what i see (and i am by far a professional) he looks quite good. Would not mind if this one went ahead........ only if the board bottle it and take the first offer for Hooper.

Ed a quick question, I have heard before that after the barca game someone in the club stayed behind to talk to Celtic and that it is to be kept up to date of any offers for wanyama. Is this true that they are keeping tabs in him? {Ed007's Note - Nobody would need to stay behind for anything like that to happen. Teams across Europe were aware of Wanyama before the Barcelona game.}

Believable8 Unbelievable7

Barca are focusing on improving their defence in the summer, and although he prefers to play in midfield, I can see Vic being the perfect centre half for Barca. Lets face it, Barca's centre halfs rarely have to do any defending and spend most of their games on the half way line anyway! If we have to sell him then I hope its to them

Agree0 Disagree1

Wanyama is not needed at barcelona they have argubly the best midfield in the world besides although wanyama is good he is not good enough for barcelona no matter how much celtic fans rate him. they have fabregas xavi iniesta mascherano busquets all of whom are better than wanyama. i personally think wanyama will leave celtic and be found out thats my personal opinion it may not happen and even if it did then celtic won't mind to much as they will have the money in their pocket's and please don't come on here and say this is typical of a rangers or as you call it sevco fan. its my honest opinion.

Agree0 Disagree2

Just my thoughts on the post starting with "Wanyama is not needed" I was hearing you until you said "and be found out" What are yae on aboot, that sounds like you think he is rubbish. He is brilliant and if he went to another team he wouldn't get found out because he is great and is not being carried. Is it because you are a sevco fan you are saying this? You would love him if he was in the 3rd devision playing with sevco.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's your honest opinion that's clouded by your blue tinted glasses mate. Mascherano was a very capable defensive midfielder once over but now plays centre half, and not that well if I'm honest. Busquets fantastic player, Xavi amazing, Iniesta sublime, fabregas another attacking midfielder and again genuine class. But Wanyama is different than any of them given his physical presence, which they have wanted and tried to achieve with Alex Song but have failed.if they had signed Wanyama instead of Alex Song it would have been a perfect fit. No he wouldn't play every game in that midfield but they would have played him at centre half the rest of the time an he would have done a far better job than Song has that's for sure. And he can pass better, head better, tackle harder and has a definite eye for goal which I personally I think sets him apart from the other young physical defensive midfielders around Europe just now. He has the whole package mate. Your just too biased to see it! I don't think it will be Barca, it will be the premiership and to the biggest of them all Man Utd. And he will be a revelation. That's my opinion. Call it green tinted glasses all you want. I go to the games, I watch him for 90 odd mins, I have now seen him tested against the best so I feel I'm in a better position to give a FAIR judgment. He is the best young player I have ever seen play for Celtic. Physically a monster, and he has the skill to go with it.

Heard that we are looking at a young Serbian/Hungarian striker, Nemanja Nikolic.
Seems to be a real cracker having scored 87 times in 161 games.

we are looking at dedryck boyata from man city on 6month loan. that's all I know.

hail hail

Marco1888

Believable11 Unbelievable9

I understand that Boyata is at Twente for the entire season - hadn't heard he was leaving them. Can't see this one being true, just due to his commitments at twente. Good player though - typical man city signing, but personally I feel Lustig offers more.

Agree1 Disagree0

City have today recalled Boyata from FC Twente as he has only played 8 games for them. On their website it says he has been recalled as he could be better off on loan with another club. On a website.

Gary Hooper has had fall out with Celtic board and looks certain to leave in this transfer window Norwich and Sunderland most likely to land him, Celtic will accept nothing less than 7.5 million. Anichebe from Everton could be possible replacement, or Danny Graham imp they should jump at the chance to play in the last 16, Hooper daft for not staying till the summer.

Believable12 Unbelievable16

Honestly dnt think it would be bad buisness hooper away for say 8 million and biy danny graham for like 3 or 4 million

Agree0 Disagree1

It would be a struggle to get EPL players to come here. Between wages and profile it would be a hard sell.I do agree with you on Hooper though, although i don't see him going till summer.........green jhedi

Agree0 Disagree0

No chance of Hooper going until the summer, anyway if he continues to score the price (and his wage demands of new club) will only go up. Win win situation as far as I'm concerned.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hooper is another feather in the cap of John Park and the scouting team, should he go i would love him to stay to the summer. JP will have unearthed a few new diamonds by then. Who knows, a good turn in Turin we could be asking for the 10 mil for him.

ShottsBhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Whats all this danny graham malarky about? he's nowhere near as good as hooper. therfore, not a suitable replacement should the club want to move forward. he'll go to sunderland or newcastle anyway.

Agree0 Disagree0

You heard anything of this fall out with the board Ed?

MikeyBhoy88 {Ed007's Note - I don't know about any fall out but I know Hooper told NL and the club, during the summer, he wanted to leave.}

Agree0 Disagree0

This sound like absolute dribble to me looks like a bunch of separate story's joined together with some creative imagination

SOS-bhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

I would prefer Hooper to go now and get a replacement in during the winter break. Obvious he is a good player, but he clearly is not happy at The Celtic and although he is our top scorer, his league tally of only 8 is a sign of his distraction. We have a fantastic tradition of strikers/poachers and he has fitted the bill well; but we should never keep a player who does not want to play for us.

Jungle Jim

Agree0 Disagree0

There is no way that Celtic will replace Hooper with someone from the English Premiership. These storys are getting very boring.

Anichebe is a woeful footballer.

Celtic will have a striker lined up from far afield that we'll hardly know anything about. I doubt Hooper will leave in January.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sell him now, replace him in the Summer. Teams pay over the odds for players in January and we don't need to be one of these teams. If we can beat Barca without Hooper then we can beat Juve without him

Agree0 Disagree0

If hooper is sold in January I believe his replacement is already at the club in young Tony Watt there is no need to be scouring the globe for another "GEM" when we already have one on our books tied in to a long term deal and desperate to make the grade. ILWT

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Jan 2013 21:21:17
Folks, if Hooper is going then let it be in the summer, nothing less than 10m. Jp & Nl will come up with more gems. I would rather the funds were spent on keeping Jp, NL and big Johan at the club. Tony Watt is good but he is at least another 2 to 3 seasons away from being good enough as no.1 striker. Get John Park and Neil Lennon on 10yr contracts

HH

Ps Give Ed a 10 yr contract too {Ed007's Note - I am on a retainer, it just doesn't pay anything!}

Agree0 Disagree0

Love these kind of posts with no name. Ian L

Agree0 Disagree0

How about putting our faith in tony watt as a starting player
himself, stokes, sammy and lassad could handle business
i always hope to see our team full of scots

Celtic today being linked with a fresh swoop for wisla Krakow star man maor melikson.
International team mate of beram kayal, and supposedly good friends with rami gershon.
Dudu dahan is the same agent and supposedly Celtic being linked with a 2.3m offer.
He WOULD be eligible to play in the last 16 if this went through but only time will tell.
Only 2 concrete stories of anyone coming in is this one and helder barbosa of braga.
Celtic want a 6 month loan deal, but he would be ineligible to play against juve.
The mcgeady story is 100 percent faulse as is the "Tom lees" from Leeds.
It is believed that no strikers will be moving or coming in during this window but rumours abroad are flying about saying we, re after marc janko in the summer as he doesn't like life in turkey.
I personally think its faulse as we have been linked so many times with the guy but what a signing he would be for nxt seasons cl charge!
Anyone else heard that if we get past juve, victor will commit his future for at least another year by signing an improved 2 year contract worth 28 grand a week?

Believable8 Unbelievable11

Not heard that however I have heard the reason he hasn't signed up yet is more to do with the length of contract rather than wanting to leave.

Agree0 Disagree0

If the barbosa deal was so concrete why is it a 6 month loan? N why would the club sign someone who they can only use in spl for that time? They don't need him to help win the league, or anyone else for that matter. Its about bringing in one or two for the euro game {Ed007's Note - Gijon are interested in offering Barbosa a contract for next season. He is actually free to sign a pre-contract so all this talk of a loan makes me think there is something not right about this.}

Anyone else think this left winger/forward that Lennons looking for is Mackay Steven from Dundee United? Young scottish player with bags of talent and no doubt could be a class player in the future.

Any thoughts on this ed? {Ed007's Note - He's a great young player, is he good enough to improve our first team right now.....I don't know. I wouldn't complain if we signed him.}

Believable15 Unbelievable8

Hooper and forster on way to norwich ruddy going to the gunners and frazer still has his heart at norwich done deal

Agree0 Disagree2

Would love to see him and team mate john daly at parkhead

rangobango

Agree2 Disagree1

I've always been a fan of MacKay-Steven. He tore shreds out of Bartley during a rangers game and the English lad had to revert to fouling him. That was the 2-0 thrashing by dun Utd, I'm guessing its gonna be 5-0 in the next encounter now M-S is back fit.

Agree0 Disagree0

Forster to Norwich? Heart set on it? An EPL relegation battle n half decent payday over CL Last 16? Away n blow your nose.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hooper and Forster to Norwich...is this really silly season. Have a serious word with yourself, for a start I don't think Norwich could afford either of them, they nearly lost their captain and top scorer becasue they wouldnt pay him a decent wage despite being the top scorer at the club. If and it is a very very big IF Hooper leaves then it will be to a club that can give him Champions League football so that rules Norwich out, and Forster is exactly the same. Now, agreed Norwich are in the EPL, but every year the primary target is survival and maybe a wee run in the cup, these guys are now used to winning things, being under pressure to win, playing in Europe, do you seriously think that they would go to a team that is fighting for their life every year. The EPL may seem like the holy grail to all the Norwich fans out there but thats because you have never been any higher and have no aim to go any higher whereas Celtic fans demand CL football, league titles, cups and we also demand an entertaining team to watch. Allymac...

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree McKay stevens us a signing I'd like to see cracking young player.
What's is the person talking about Forster and hooper Norwich don't have 20 million for 2 players and you don't get to play in last 16 of cl so so wipe your mouth and stop talking sh#t#

SOS-bhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Rango - what are you smokin, John Daly is guff. Mackay Stevens at best is a Scottish Bobby Petta.

I would be delighted if neither of them came to Celtic Park unless there in the Dundee Utd team.
