Why is Charlie Mulgrew allowed to hit direct free kicks on goal. You are lucky if he scores one free kick every couple of years. Scott Brown needs a spell on the bench for club and country, things are just getting worse performance wise for him if he was a dog he would be put down!

That's the world champions SB is playing against, do you know anything about football? As for your dog comment that is totally unnecessary and insulting

So what if it was the World Champions? Stop making excuses for them(Brown, Forrest and Mulgrew), what would they have been like had they came up against Real Madrid and PSG for us in the CL Group Stage? Perish the thought, thinking about them playing against Ajax and Fenerbache is scary enough. Ireland played Germany in there own back yard and managed to get a draw with players like David Meyler, Glen Whelan and Stephen Quinn who still managed to stand up to Germany and be counted earning a draw and I wouldn't be shocked to see them pick up more points against Germany next month.

Stop making excuses for players who played poorly and let there team down, no one is saying they're the only ones that were poor but they're still representing Celtic when they're out there playing for their countries so of course people on here a Celtic forum are going to concentrate more on their specific performances than anyone elses.

Criticising Celtic players when it's called for does not make you any less of a fan just like praising them at all costs doesn't make you an Uber fan either, people just call it as they see it and give their own opinion no need to get on your high horse.

Celtic forever if you support Scotland then you are right to criticise the players for performances but if your a celtic supporter only you shouldn't give a toss about their performance as all that matters is that they are fit for Saturday. It's more annoying to me that our players don't get a break during the summer as they are playing qualifier matches in June or that our captain is possibly playing with an injury which is a possible reason for his poor form where he should be resting for our big matches.

Well said celticforever it honestly amazes me the blinkers that our wonderful support have when it comes to certain players. Talking about wonderful support were are half of you. The stadium is closer to being empty than full. We have 3 season tickets that we use each week in the north stand no matter how we have been playing. Shame that some supporters hang about on here more than they do the stadium.

I am sorry for joining in on this I think Forrest is getting better this year than in the past as for Brown I just think he needs a week or two rest he is a great player for us as for Mulgrew sorry not got nothing to defend him with I would have to agree with you on that one

Sack the board and Celtic forever I really don't think you know anything about football, I would be surprised if you ever made it to celtic park but even if you do your vendetta against these players belies an inability to both understand the game and support your team. Tlaking about being boring I have never seen such appallingly long, uninformed and dull narratives

I thought brown was the best player on the park for us against Germany when he was on with his constant pressure and discipline!

I would agree that Forrest is playing better - but better than utter pish doesn't mean brilliant. Not even at average for me yet. GroutDoc I think your being harsh on celtic forever on this occasion. His post gets his message across and in my opinion is a very good gauge of the situation albeit his last few posts have been too long to even bother finish reading. Brown isn't playing very well at the minute against ANY opposition but I have every faith in him as a player and will come good again after a rest. I've been saying for weeks he's injured or maybe tired. He's still a very important player. The one for me who out of the whole team I would send packing is Mulgrew. Not offering half of what he used to and for that reason I'd get him to France (assuming Scotland don't qualify - wouldn't want him any where near France if they did ☺️)

HI Pedro, if Celtic forever was saying SB is going through a period of poor form then I would agree my response was harsh. However he has consistently argued that SB is a poor player and criticised his performances over years not weeks. This is patently nonsense. In terms of Mulgrew I think we should remember that he was playing well before a significant injury kept him out for the last few months of last season, he was then injured again just as he was coming back, I would like to give him another month to see if he can get back to full fitness and recapture good form. Perhaps his form won't recover but he can be a valuable asset to the squad if he can

Sack the board, your at it!
I agree Mulgrew should be nowhere near the Scotland team never mind taking free kicks.
"shame on some supporters" times are hard for a lot of fans, I myself don't get to a lot of games due to finances not being what they used to be, our great club aren't following the sevco way and giving out free tickets

Groutdoc, are you a current bun? I'm begging to think that you are. I'm convinced you come on here to wind up the rest of us with you posts. Please engage that pea pod of a brain and come up with some constructive posts.

Mulgrew lacks the pace to play full back in the current set up he doesn't cover enough ground to play cm his best position is lcb especially in a Celtic team that come up against teams you allow our cbs time on the ball
My own opinion is that he filled in at cb done a decent job but was never going to play when be matured and there was a sense of loyalty from the management to play him pretty much anywhere
Brown is inspirational defo a dip in form though and I think with Allen and rogic now in the squad he will be rested more an 80% fit Scott brown is going to play for club and country
Forrest has improved but needs a run of games and needs a big performance to win most fans over
My main concern though is celtics lack of a final ball gms Armstrong Allen Forrest could really seize an opportunity to nail the no10 role as sj ain't cutting it and commons is getting on
Roll on Saturday

Sack the board, that's a strange Orwellian defence, you accuse me of being a currant bun because I criticise your infantile and gleeful criticism of our captain and players, what nonsense. Let's not bring the topic of intellect into the argument otherwise I would be forced to suggest that in your case a village is missing one of its much noted residents

Groutdoc you are acting like a child now. The facts are there for all to see, Scott Brown for what ever reason has been awful so far this year. Do you agree? Get your self up to Celtic park at the players car park and you will see that he is driving about in a BENTLY! For me if you are going to be giving it the big I am you need to consistently produce the goods and he is not! To be fair if Celtic want to pay him 28k per week you take it. I would, but with big money comes big responsibility and leadership. Scott brown was hiding in our biggest game of the season away to Malmo as were others. He is the captain, I just wish he would stand up and be counted. He has fallen way shirt this season so far and it is not good enough. As big jock said Celtic shirts to shrink to fit inferior players!! Hail hail

Sack the board, is there appoint you want to make, is your criticism now about his choice of car. He had a bad game against Malmo, he was not hiding. All players have occasional bad games but normally their teammates do enough , that night we had too many play badly and the system the manger set up was wrong. In saying that we need to move on and support the team. Try it you might enjoy it and spend less time polishing your grievances

Read my post above Groutdoc it explains exactly why I think Scott Brown should be open to criticism. Please tell what part is not accurate. He has been playing crap, he is the highest paid player at the club and he is the captain. This usually means a leader of men that leads by example in his attitude and performance. In my opinion and many others he is doing none of this.

Sack the board, I think all of your arguments are inaccurate if you try to extend them over more than the last few weeks. I think he has been a excellent captain for us and consistently provided the leadership we needed. You and the many others you cite are entitled to your view, I have a different view, I won't speak for other supporters but I a confident many more are happy with his role as captain player and leader

Nobody is above criticism. And people can have wildly varying views in players. I've doubted Forrest fir years. The nae final baw bhoy is relentless in his inability to finish sometimes great work. Some disagree.

Here's the point, moaning about players, even hating a player getting a game doesn't mean your a terrible Tim. Cheerleading every player, dud or not, doesn't make you a super fan. It's your opinion. Telling people your version is the truth is as bad as god botherers telling you their version of the invisible man in the sky is the way. Boring and pointless, but most of all arrogant.

Nobody died and made anybody the true arbiter of what constitutes a good Celtic man. To adorn that mantle unilaterally makes you sound a tad strident. A tad edgy, but bit in a good way.

"Were all equal, but some of us are more equal than others"

As someone famous once wrote in his famous book.
