Ed you hear of a possible interest in Mladen Petric of Fulham. Hearing he could be a target?

MikeyBhoy88 {Ed007's Note - No.}

Believable6 Unbelievable14

First time poster - great site. Hearing Fulham striker Malden Petric will sign a 1year deal tomorrow. Does that mean there is a few strikers on the way out like Miku, Stokes, Bangura, McCourt who hav not featured all season?

Chris Hughton was up watching Emilio Izaguirre on Wednesday. Norwich short in the left back position and would explain why Rami Gershon is being brought in.

~seamus~

Believable5 Unbelievable24

So he first hughton was up watching Hooper, then Kayal and they were readying a 5 million bid, now Izaguirre. Have a day off mate will you. I imagine it will be Forster tomorrow and Forrest on Tuesday.

Agree1 Disagree0

Its already been forester and charlie mulgrew as well as the first 2 issaguire is the 5th player he was up watch apparently

Rangobango

Agree0 Disagree0

Gershon is a cb that can play lb. he is not izzy replacement he is cb cover

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm a Norwich fan & hughton is constantly watching games all over a lot in Europe when he can. I think it's all been blown out of proportion . We need a striker but don't think we would get hooper

Agree0 Disagree0

IF norwich want so many celtic players why doesnt, dermot just buy them, (but they can keep their non existent history), relocate them to celtic park and hey presto we are in the EPL with a better chance of winning it than norwich will ever have.

Agree0 Disagree0

U need to know your footie OP...he was brought in as cover for efe for when he's away on african cup of nations. Some people just talk mince in the transfer market lol

It's just a prototype

~seamus~

Agree0 Disagree0

Hate the v-ncek collars

gunniebhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont like the non full hoops

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope this is the new kit as I think it's a cracker! Ill def be getting it, although its split opinions on other sites I've been on!

Ice man

Agree0 Disagree0

Seamus, have a look behind the star and you can see what appears to be shading in the shape of tags.Prototypes don't come with the tags, that's what gets me.Collar is same as the new Barca tops so it could be real.

there are only 4 hoops on this shirt instead of 7 what it normaly is, or 9 for this season. not liking this shirt. i think we should stick with the thinner hoops that we wear now but lose the black socks

Saw this on another site too was going to post it up IMO I prefer the one we have just now

ed have you heard anything regarding stoke being interested in mulgrew and do you think we will see many more faces come in
dez {Ed007's Note - The teams I know that are interested in Mulgrew are Norwich and QPR.}

Believable4 Unbelievable8

Heard a wee rumour stoke were looking at him roughly 4mill suits them be coz of his height and dead ball ability can't see Lennon letting him go though

We must keep Mulgrew at all costs, his delivery from a dead ball is 2nd to none....Stevie

Agree0 Disagree0

Charlie has apparently said to anyone who has asked he will never leave Celtic it took to long to get established there and he knows the grass isnt greener elsewhere

Rangobango

Agree0 Disagree0

Not only is his deadball abilty of real quality, he has the class to step out of defence with ease
he is scottish aswell and i believe we should be hanging on to our top homegrown pros

In a way I'm somewhat glad that the club are keeping everything under wraps in regards to signings. It means we won't get any premier league teams sniffing around any John Park gem signings we may have found ... could anyone tell me who we have really looked at beside the israeli guy?

Believable14 Unbelievable4

John Park was over to Algeria in Autumn 2012 to watch a left back called Brahim Bedbouda. Doubt we'll go in for him now we have Rami Gershon.

Agree0 Disagree0

Think the Dorrans story has a bit of strength to it, we've made an approach before and apparently again in this window, would be a good addition IMO. There will be plenty of names on the list and names banded about by agents looking for a good earner, harder deals are usually done nearer the end of the window when it looks like players will be stuck at their original teams and prices or wages will be more realistic!

Bigbadjohn

Agree0 Disagree1

Ssssshhhhhhh keep it all very secret. It's how we put this amazing squad together.

Celtic in for Griffiths, what a waste of money that would be, if he was any good, consistently good, Wolves would call him back, they are hoping to get rid of him, what job would he do,

Believable11 Unbelievable15

Wolves will call him back as far as I know. They're struggling massively in the Championship and need a goalscorer. Big loss for Hibs but a big gain for us I suppose.

Agree0 Disagree1

He's rank rotten, not any better than any of the strikers we have he'd probably be lucky to be on the bench each week,
davy

Agree1 Disagree0

Every player will be suited to different teams, just because he's not settled at wolves doesn't mean he's always goin to be mince! Looks like he's suited to the Scottish game, I would have taken him from Dundee, it depends what your looking for? We've made 30mil from champs league so far, does anybody really think well get to spend a good chuck of that!? What's wrong with spending 250k on a guy that will score plenty with the chances we make!

Bigbadjohn

Agree0 Disagree2

Griffins wouldnt get on our pub team fs

Agree0 Disagree0

Your giving him grief for not scoring at Wolves, if you aint on the park how can you score?

you may say he aint playing for a reason but ask yourself this, what age is he? he is young so not going to walk into an english side.

Also how did Charlie Mulgrew do at Wolves? rubbish? well he only got 6 games so hard to judge.

Do i want Griffiths? No because of his attitude. but to say he has no ability when he has scored for every team that's gave him a chance is nothing but harsh.

Agree1 Disagree0

Griffiths is what it says on the TIN. 150k player and nowhere near good enough to pull on a Celtic shirt. We're way above the capabilities of this man.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sign him then loan him to Hibs, thus meaning he can't play (and score) against us in all seriousness, think he could be worth a punt. Celtic need a European squad and a squad to use in lesser (spl games) hed score for fun in the SPL with us.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry never put my name on my post, the one about him scoring for fun for us in the SPL. Cheekybhoy

just spoke with my cousin from Leeds, he's a massive Leeds fan an has heard they've accepted 2 bids for becchio, anyone know if Celtic are one of the bidders?

Believable6 Unbelievable14

twitter says Celtic are in for another centre half and centre forward so wouldn't surprise me. Could do a job for us and could also possibly pave the way for Hooper to leave.

Good source live next to Scott Browns brother Callum in Dalgety bay in Fife, he said Scott told him Wanyama wants to sign for Manchester United in the summer. Celtic may inquire about Darren Fletcher wages could be an issue and Personally I think Fletcher is a one club man. Also Lustig wants a long term deal, and Commons could be leaving to Villa in the summer. Hooper defo out in summer And Celtic may replace him with Shane Long, bad move imp he's not a proven goalscorer.

Believable1 Unbelievable22

This is laughable at best !

Agree0 Disagree0

This is complete rubbish. It's obvious you've made this up. There is no way on Earth that Commons, Hooper and Wanyama will all leave in the Summer. I could almost guarantee you that Wanyama will leave, but Hooper will stay until at least this time next year. Commons has a family here and is not going to uplift them straight away. Shane Long is no better than Gary Hooper and Darren Fletcher is injury prone.

~seamus~

Agree0 Disagree0

Made me laugh.

Agree0 Disagree1

I am sure Neil discusses all his ideas with Scott Brown... not!

Agree0 Disagree0

Shane Long is better than Hooper, Hooper scores but Long scores and contributes more to the game, if you could have both up front it would be sensational

Agree1 Disagree1

Some of the things said maybe true in the long run ie. players leaving! But doubt Broonys been spilling the beans ha ha... As for Shane long, the guys class, would score for fun up here!

Bigbadjohn

Agree0 Disagree0

Commons to villa ha aye coz he wil def want 2 leave a title and cup winning and champions league team for a relegation fight

gunniebhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

WTF does broonie know, hes only a player. Please stop making crap up!

Agree0 Disagree0

Ok so u have obviously been told this over the weekend by Scott's brother or it wld have been posted before now. This is why its a lot of crap as Scott brown, his brother and rest of family were at crieff hydro. I was there and my son got his.photo taken if u need the proof

Agree0 Disagree0

Not sayig I agree with rumour etc... but it is believable all three could leave in the summer, more than 3 could go tbh! Them premiership seems keen to sign our squad!

Agree0 Disagree0

I think a daily sevco reporter left that OP haha in what land is shane long not a proven goalscorer?haha c'mon watch some footie mate and ul see how good shane long is...bit injury prone, but defo proven goalscorer in my book! And darren fletcher...nearly choked on my bacon roll, good comedy should be on the stage!

Agree0 Disagree0

I've been told that wanyama is happy here and doesn't want to leave at the moment. The reason he has not signed the deal is due to the length of the deal being offered. Celtic want him to sign a 5 year deal, he's not prepared to sign a deal for that length of time.

The silly season of the window up and running. We know we are a club with modest spending power but never ceases to amaze me just how many links get banded about every window. The 31 days of january must have some count on the various players touted with Celtic.I admit I find this forum addictive for the gossip already into double figures of links. We as ever hope Celtic spash say 3m plus on a sound signing maybe the last 16 positioning we have could see a surprise by the 31st

Anything in the Melikson rumours? Cheers, dd

Believable3 Unbelievable8

Dudu Dahan, Gershon and Melikson's agent, has said there is no truth in the rumour.

~seamus~

Agree0 Disagree0

Hopefully there is some truth in it i say get the boy signed up look really good. Good movement passing control the whole lot just what we could be doing with in the midfield.

Think we missed out on a good signing in Chris Wood. 21 years old, went for £1.5million, big strong target man, good finisher

Mentioned him the other week - agreed, good player. kevslug.

Can anyone tell me how many Celtic fans travelled to Lisbon in 67? No Manchester calculators please just genuine estimations..The reason i asked is because i met my first Lisbon veteran just last week and would like to know if there are any posters who were there or had family who were there. The bloke i met had some great stories to tell, what an experience it must have been, genuine replies would be appreciated........Stevie

Believable4 Unbelievable6

I was always told 15000

Agree0 Disagree0

I was in lisbon in 1967 - there was a very large celtic support which was recognised as being the largest influx of people at a European final. how many were there i do not know but bear in mind that the availability of transport was not what we have to-day. many fans traveled overland and did not make it to lisbon due to there transport breaking down. i was lucky i went with the celtic supporters association who chartered a flight from prestwick.
good value aty 25 for flight - transport & ticket. incidently a young man took out a bank loan to charter several flights to lisbon . his name was freddie laker who was the pioneerr of budget airlines

Agree0 Disagree0

I think the accepted figure was around 20k.........green jhedi

OP my uncles were there, they went in the car cavalcade that left Celtic Park, estimates vary of numbers but between 12,000/15,000 is more like it.in total not in cavalcade) Remember cheap air fares were not available at that time, so most went by car, bus, ferry etc..
Just like Seville our fans made friends everywhere, and the locals in Lisbon (most of them supported us)
They came back with lots of tales, and many fans never returned until years later, meeting and marrying foreign women en route.
Local police could not cope after game at the airport with so many drunk fans, and simply put every Celtic fan on planes, dispensing with passport control etc. The result that some fans who had tickets were left behind while others who came by car got a "free" airplane ride back. Timalloy

Agree0 Disagree0

15,000 was the official numbers. maccabhoy

Cheers lads much appreciated. Another thing on sort of the same subject i was having a debate with a Sevconian at work and he claimed he was in Barcelona in 72 and that Rangers fans packed out the Nou Camp, i told him to stop talkin colin nish but googled it when i went home, 24,000 was the attendance and i believe the top section of the Nou Camp wasnt even opened up. Just another Sevconian fantasist.....Stevie

Agree0 Disagree0

Ha
what lies
rangers fans definitly didn't pack into barcelona camp nou that's for sure
if they had none of the city would remain cos theydve broke it all and left rubbish everywhere
they just talk gutter period
i refuse to listen to them anymore
i did let my guard down at christmas time. on the bus home from town i heard one gers fan(ny) say to one of his brethren that he refused to smoke menthol fags on the basis that they were in a green and white pack. together they looked at one another and nodded as if it was a really sound statement.
i put my rangers earplugs back in and no longer hear any bile that pours out their vile mouths.
lol
