Hi ed. Hay bhoys and ghirls. I haven't been on along time but what Lenny and the bhoys has achieve in the Champions league is amazing. All the talk is about Celtic. Even the younger kids are all talking about Celtic. Life couldn't get any better. Is MrsE still around lol?? Bigirishmac {Ed007's Note - Hi BIM, long time no speak. I hope you and the family are well.}

Believable2 Unbelievable4

All good Ed. How's the leg? am sure the run in the champions league is helping it ;) bigirishmac {Ed007'os Note - My leg is not bad thanks, jumping out my seat last night didn't help! Or being on my knees praying at Commons penalty. All kidding aside I am absolutely delighted that we qualified. After Apoel Nicosia last year showing that well organised teams can get results that matter, and our own performance in the EL last season I was quietly confident we could do it all along although I would have took a draw at home to Barca before the game!}

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes BIM, i'm still here although i've aged about 20 years with the recent CL games. I've been at the homes games and never enjoyed the Barcelona one until the final whistle lol.

It was the longest game ever !

Last night was just superb, what an achievement. I've seen foreign papers etc all about Celtic...its magic :-)

Ed do you have any updates on the American boy and the two other trialists who were at Lennoxtown ......DH {Ed007's Note - Juan Agudelo has returned to the USA (or a holiday somewhere) as far as I know. That's about it just now mate, sorry.}

Right all ifs and buts but think it could be a interesting post:

IMO wanyama and hooper are our most players likely to leave if the right price comes in on January however if these two or one were to go how much (being in the real works here lol) would be a good price I think

Wanyama - 8/9million + add one

Hooper 6/7million + add one (tops)

Which then throws on my next question:if they stay which I think they will, does lawwell say to Neil.how much do we need to improve our chances to get through to the 1/4 finals ? According to reports were due around 20 odds for our games so far so hopefully 2/3 players in to tighten up a few loose ends ?

Lenny

Believable6 Unbelievable9

There's no chance we will be going out and buying 3 players in january. It will depend on who we get as to whether we bring in any at all. Just out of curiosity, how much of the 25-30 million we have earned from Champion League are you expecting Celtic to spend whether it be in january or next season?

Personally i want the debt cleared altogether. Then if we lose hooper and wanyama which i expect (definitely Hooper 5-6 million, Wanyama only if the right money is offered 15 million) i would be delighted if they ev reinvested that considerable amount of money on the playing squad to replace these 2 and strengthen other area's.

Agree1 Disagree0

Too many people will argue that we dont need the money. The board see it as they want the money, and will sell player regardless of euro competition. However, i cant see anyone (except miko) leaving before the summer

Agree0 Disagree1

Your numbers are woefully low. Put a one in front of Hoopers fee and a two in front of wanyamas. One more round in the CL and those will be realistic figures. Sopot Celt

Agree0 Disagree1

Both undervalued

Agree0 Disagree0

Good teams never get rid of their best players take note

Agree0 Disagree2

Sopot your dreaming with those figures mate. Hooper will go for no more than 7.5 million. Wanyama in my opinion is worth 16-18 million. But if he doesn't sign a new contract it will be 2 years left and they won't want him going into his last year because the vultures will be circling. I could see him going for 12-14 million and that will be less than he's worth. This is just the reality bhoys!

Agree0 Disagree0

Ive got a wee feeling if wanyama goes itl be less than everyones quoting on here i hope not but well have to wait and see

Agree0 Disagree0

I cant see either of them leaving in January, they will be cup tied for the Champions League won't they? So they arent gonna leave for another club where they wont get any Champions League football. Summer? Yes.

Quack

Agree1 Disagree0

Wanyama is easily the best player in a celtic shirt since larsson. Look at the boy move. he's different gravy. the money that's being mentioned is only relevant if he wants to leave. To whom? Chelsea? man city? barcalona? He might. but it'd be awfully stupid. he can play against barca with the team lennon has assmbled - not with chelsea or city. Much less sunderland. we've proved our point, and put our team back where they belong. Commons said it right: who will look at a tie in glasgow and not think: ****. Would united fancy it or barca? Hell no.

Im not saying we'll beat any of these teams. but we are formidable this season. We could go all the way and everyone of those players in the other teams knows that. Thats a huge credit to lustig, matthews, giorgios, hooper broony, commons. They are not 'representing scotland' but themselves - and I bet on them going all the way.

Agree0 Disagree0

@1 I think/hope he has 5million to play with if the right players are there I don't think we will spend any where bear that I do think I loan signing will come in though

Ill 100% agree wanyama is the best tic player in a long time.ill take the highest offer from him however I really don't believe we will get any higher than 12m tops.were a feeder team in a league where the winner gets next to no monies for winning the league.when he does go I think a bidding war could start I hope we do get funny money for him because it was the best 900k we have spent in a long time

Hooper I think no more than 7m he's been pretty poor so far this season really think hes missing stokes still a great player and give him a sniff of the ball at the edge of the box he will score most times

Lenny

Agree0 Disagree0

some of the point's in this topic are baffling first noone is going to pay £15 million pound for a player playing scotland no matter how good they have looked. wanyama will go for 9 million if he is to go and hooper about 7 million. also celtic will not go all the way to the champions league final i would be happy to have made the last 16 and if you pull out manchester united then its another glamour tie. also in the draw for last 16 then celtic's best bet of progressing would be to be drawn against shalke who are the weakest of the top seeds. all i can say to celtic fan's is enjoy whoever you get in the last 16 and if your eliminated i am sure you will still party.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Dec 2012 11:50:31
I would be very suprised if we sell Hooper for any less than £10m. No matter the league he is playing in (SPL in this case)and don't forget he is edging closer &closer to an England call up(which always pushes the price up) he is a goalscorer, and goalscorers are the most sought after players out there,i can definetly see a premiership club....whoever it might be? offering £10m + for him.

In my opinion Wanyama will go for no less than £15m and most probably in the summer (by which time he would have played more CL games against tough opposition) if we hold onto him until the summer AND we get him to extend his contract there could be a bidding war for him in the summer transfer window........make no mistake in Wanyama we have one of the most sought after young midfielders in the game at the moment.....and i trust Peter Lawell and co to get the best money available for our better players IF we are going to sell them.

Remember we are in as good a financial position as we have been for some time,we DO NOT have to sell any player, the only reason we will do so is... if the player REALLY wants to go,and if that's the case we can be quite stubborn with the ammount we will accept for any given player.

We are in a position of strength regarding player sales at the moment (buying low & selling high) and we need to continue this trend, our scouts have found these players, our board have trusted the scouts enough to purchase these young players.....and our coaching and management staff have improved the players from when we bought them. This is the way our club is doing it's buisness these days, and in doing so it means we need to get the BEST possible transfer fee for ANY player we sell.

Peter Lawell will do this imo and will also support Neil Lennon, his coaching staff and our scouts to continue with this policy.....and most importantly continue to improve the team/squad as the years go on.

Sorry for the long post, just my thoughts. Hail Hail! Bhoys and Ghirls.

Agree0 Disagree0

You lot were on here not all of you i must add but the vast majority were slating hooper in the last 2 weeks or so and suddenly since he scored against spartak he has become a superstar. those who doubted him before the spartak game should hang their heads in shame. also hooper won't go for anymore than 10million and to be fair on the england situation he was only on the verge of a call up for meaningless friendlies he won't be called up for any serious qualifying game. but fraser forster will be called up for qualifying games and england lack serious competition for joe hart who i wouldnt be surprised if he is dropped soon givin his poor form lately.

so hooper will be sold for about 8 or 9 million and wanyama most likely to be around about 10million.

wanyama has looked good so far i admit that but so did other players who have played up here and when they have moved south they just can't cut it. it may not happen with wanyama but english team's will be wary at having overpaid for players playing in scotland before. i would say only one or two players have left the spl and cut it down south don't want to name them but if you think about it then it is obvious who i am talking about.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hooper has 18 mths left on contract and has turned down recent offers... that values him at around 6 million. .even though that was turned down last year from Southampton Celtic will know come the summer he'll be worth 3m with 1 year left. The board are a business not people who think with their hearts...1 more offer will be made to Hooper before January if thats declined he will be sold for 6 million FACT. ~mnpoi

Agree0 Disagree0

Who is better Fletcher or Hooper? SopotCelt ps for the record I have consistently praised Hooper.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Dec 2012 16:22:14
To all those people saying they are only spl players and English clubs would be wairy about paying to much for them I think you'd are forgetting these players have cl experience and helped there team reach the last 16 so so its not just spl experience they have they have proven them self time and time again in the cl qualifyers and at the top table with the big guns

Question, would you take Naka back? I think he would be a handy addition for the second half of the season, yeah he's 34 but he never ran about busting a gut anyway.
Bowbhoy

Believable11 Unbelievable9

Thinkn he's retiring at the end of the season mate. And even being the massive fan of Nakamura that i am, i think he's past it now.

Agree0 Disagree0

Take him back in a minute may be slower in pace but always had a good brain and could get by with that alone

Agree0 Disagree0

Naka coming back could be a master stroke as long as he's fit enough. Knows what the clubs all about and could add that bit of composure to the team that is sometimes missing.......Stevie

Agree0 Disagree0

Amazing player but am not a fan of former players comin bak tbh 2 many times it doesnt work out id rather the guy stayed as the legend he was than come bak n risk it not workin same situation we had with boruc mibi comin bak agen for me would a been a mistake HH

gunniebhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

We can't compete with the rest of the big spenders! It's sad times when a champions league last 16 club has to scrape the barrel to better their squad! It just shows what an achievement we've done!

I love naka, but he's not the answer... I hope Peter realises this!

Agree0 Disagree0

Certainly worth thinking about. I wonder if he's fit though. You say he didn't bust a gut, but he was always constantly on the move looking for the ball. I think he could add something and would be a great coach. He (like Larson) was a true professional and would be a great example for the younger boys.

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe check his prozone stats before making statements about his workrate bud. He was consistently covering more ground per game than the majority of the rest.

Good player and hardworking but at the wrong end of his career for me, if Freddie taught us anything it's that hunger is paramount. We need to bring in players who are trying to make their name

Well done the Hoops, what a fantastic effort to amass the record 10 point total. On reflection, I'm still shocked we managed to meet the landmark, however we're there and, probably, deservedly so.

Congratulations to NL and all at CP because they've had to endure some criticism along the way.

Paris or Turin for me next, that's what I'd like. If either one materialises, I'm probably gonna go!

And, on the subject of boycotts, what an embarrassment Newco are. They are definitely wounded and convinced the world's against them. They've jeopardised Scottish Football with their financial irregularities and suffered the consequences, however the rest of Scottish Football is to blame?

Now, they are trying to sabotage the SPL and its members by boycotting games. Well, the rest of the clubs in the SPL should stand in unison and fill that stadium in February and I, for one, would definitely be willing to do so, especially as Newco are donating their share.

Where will this end? Something has to be done, and now!

Newco have to realise that they can't bully Scottish Football, they have to show more humility and just concentrate on gaining re-entry into the SPL, or whatever Top Flight league we have in a couple of years because they will also need a strong league, if they want to be in it.

I don't understand CG's strategy in all this, he seems to be playing to the masses, which makes me very intrigued as to his intentions. May have something to do with the share issue??

Miko

Believable7 Unbelievable7

You serious say they win? They beat Motherwell after all and united are poor this year who's gonna be the laughing stock after that and at the same time we all fill there pockets, no thanks and if you believe green when he tats they'll give it to charity your mad. Charity begins at home wae that lot

Raff

Agree0 Disagree0

Miko, i for one, would love to go to back United.

I'd love for the Sevco supporters to be sitting in their pubs (as they all boycotted Sky) and watch a sea of Green and Orange as the teams walk out. All we need is some Ayr United fans to provide the White at one end and we'd really get it up them.

And i don't believe for a second CG will give any money to charity, the same team that kept the AC Milan charity money for their fighting fund! What did the fighting fund do......went to court to get signing ban overturned and laid grass on a barren pitch?

The share issue is Green's mealticket, if he gets more than £5.5m (which he won't) he can walkaway with a tidy profit. As he has already said, he would not lead them into the SPL, he's already got his jacket on ready to depart ibrokes and his "safe house" and return to England

Agree0 Disagree0

Ha are we a laughing stock this coming from the same set of fannies who wanted to boycott dunfermline because rangers won 6-1 to win the league and the same club to boycott kilmarnock as they obstained from voting in the newco vote and also because they charge ticket prices to much

Agree0 Disagree0

Not really fussed who we get i'll be there regardless (as usual)
quite fancy malaga tbh, might have a bit of sun! ... MrCheshington

Agree0 Disagree0

You have a cheek to talk about rangers wanting to boycott dundee united game. celtic fan's are boycotting the killie game because they didnt take up their vote to vote rangers out of the spl also i remember the talk about boycotting dunfermline as well when rangers won 6-1. this is just typical tit for tat between both team's at the end of the day noone should be boycotting their teams game's no matter who it is against.

i would never boycott a game just because the other team did something i didn't agree with that's just like my daddy is bigger than your daddy a lot of fan's need to grow up seriously.

Agree0 Disagree0

We'll see about the charity. at least united will be able to go public with how much they handed over to these pariahs and charlie boy can be quizzed on where it went. i fancy it will go into a general charitable fund where the waters can be muddied at a later date. how about giving it to one of the local hospitls cahrlie ? to make up for all the tax you cheated them out of. lets hope united destroy his duff team and we can be rid of them for the season. {Ed007's Note - Let's hope it is a draw, see how the boycott pans out if it's a replay...}

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Dec 2012 19:59:46
who realistically would we want during the January transfer window? the squad is a little bit thin and needs about two players max imo

Believable12 Unbelievable1

Nobody springs to mind, would really like Wanyama & Hooper signed up. They definitely deserve to be rewarded with contract extensions. Ian L

Agree0 Disagree0

How about our tormentor from last night. The Nigerian striker?

Agree0 Disagree0

Anybody agree that we are missing Ki ? Need a playmaker , all the well known ones will be unavailable , cup-tied or too expensive . Maybe the scouting team will unearth another gem . I suggested Ryan McGowan as defensive cover last week - It wasn't well received but I think he is worth considering .

Agree1 Disagree0

I agree with ian L. i would rather see us sign up hooper and wanyama on improved contracts than look to bring anyone else in tho if miku leaves i would like to see us try and get a playmaker in even if its on loan til end of season

celticthomas

Agree0 Disagree0

Emenenke would be too expensive ... I personally would just throw 2/3 million at John Park and see what he has scouted, he hasn't steered us wrong yet!

Agree0 Disagree0

This campaign has only proven that our current transfer policy if buying young and cheap players and letting them flourish. Long may it continue. Hoping for a winger and a big CF in January

Junglebhoy33

Agree0 Disagree0

Check out Emenenke - Match fixing scandal - also alleged to be 7years older than his birth certificate - Celtic should stay well clear .

Agree0 Disagree0

Nikola Djurdric of Helsingborgs looked the part against us considering they threw him in against us unfit. He has not stopped scoring since they signed him. 16 goals in 20 appearances.

I would like to see Jonny Russell at Celtic Park.

Agree1 Disagree0

I don't think we are missing Ki one little bit. Think we done the right thing selling him. Can't remember him really being a playmaker? Not sure what kind of midfielder he was. Not a big fan of him as a player. Ian L

Agree0 Disagree2

A player who caught my eye especially when he was playing in positions more suited to him was callum paterson at hearts, he ran the show against Liverpool at anfield from midfield showed really well in both legs. Stuck out like a sore thumb for hearts early in the season from full back & wide midfield, 17/18 year's old reminds me of Charlie mulgrew height & stature. Been playing up front more recently, just my opinion on the kid. Think we could do with a winger / wide player, cover for Forrest miss his pace on the break & ability to hit the bye-line or go inside & drive at the opposition. Commons & Chico r about delivery from wide & Sammy scares me when he is out there & were under the cosh. That's my thoughts. AbS 1888

Agree0 Disagree0

A mite get shot down here lol but wot about wee griffiths fae hibs ? embdy else hink he could be worth a punt

gunniebhoy {Ed007's Note - Remember he is technically still a Wolves player but his contract is up in the summer.}

Agree0 Disagree0

A hesselink type player would be my preference

Agree0 Disagree0

Fed up playing 2 wingers crossing it in for who exactly. We've no target man to knock it down or score headers so I'd like to see a central creative midfielder and a target man. Let Miku go he's not suited to our game.

Raff

Agree0 Disagree0

Emenike wasn't actually involved in the fixing itself from what i've read, more guilty by association. the age things crops up everytime with africans. yakubu was supposed to be in his 30s when he was playing for boro and he just about single handedly kept them in the premier league in his last year. would take emenike in a heart beat, caused us loads of problems over both legs - might be a bit dear though.

i'd scatter rogne and bring another centre back in - i saw this one playing for st etienne on a streaming internet game a little while back called zuma (i think) and he was colossal, i think i've read that man utd are looking at him now though, and my brother is raving about this defender called kouyate from anderlecht but i think that could just be because of fifa13.

i'm still sore about us missing out on henriksen because i still think we need a more creative midfielder. nobody immediately springing to mind but i'd be willing to trust the scouting network to continue their good work. kevslug.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why get rid of rogne it leaves you with only 2 all out cb

Whats everyones order for preference of draw, based on possibility of qualification to last 8. Heres mine for what its worth(best chance first)

1. Malaga
2. PSG
3. Shalke
4. Man Utd
5.Juventus
6. Dortmund
7.Bayern Munich

Joeshmo1888

Believable7 Unbelievable7

I'd prefer to avoid the Germans..

Mrs E

Agree2 Disagree1

Psg would kill us ibrahimovic against kelvin Wilson ffs :D

Would want schalke or malaga want to avoid psg, Dortmund and bayern the most

Agree1 Disagree0

I'd take man utd as long as they don't splash out in jan. their aging midfield and leaky defence would struggle against wanyama and co and and id fancy hooper and samaras against their defence. we only conceded 3 goals against barca in 180 min so rooney, rvp and the rest shouldnt frighten us to much.

dortmund are the team to avoid, they are good enough to win the whole thing

celticthomas

Agree0 Disagree0

Messi never killed us and he is on a different planet from zlatan Baccibhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Did you see malagas results? - they are no mugs. schalke for me but i can see the Man Utd angle - i'm just glad to be in it! ..............kbt1978

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm not bothered who we get. Ian L

Agree0 Disagree0

I know, Malaga are a good team. Lets be honest, no matter who we get were gonna be massive underdogs, but that tag has suited us just fine up to now!

Joeshmo1888

Agree0 Disagree0

Malaga were a shock for me until I saw them top their group I know nothing about them but a wee feeling they will make the semi or even final but that then kills off my other thought of a all German final lol

IMO I would like man utd doesn't matter who we get its going to be hard but it's 180 min of football and its a funny old game

We were lucky to score in the dying moments in Moscow

We were unlucky to lose to barca in nou camp

You could be hit with a bus tomorrow or live to see another day ....luck is luck so take it when it's on our side

Lenny

Agree0 Disagree0

It's got to b Malaga or Dortmund for me. A few days in Marbella sounds good and the atmosphere at Dortmunds ground always looks special. Whoever we get will be tough so we might as well enjoy it while we're there.

Agree0 Disagree0

1. Malaga - owned by billionaires and would hump celtic

2. PSG- again owned by billionaires and would hump celtic

3. Shalke- humped arsenal so would defo stuff celtic

4. Man Utd - van persie and rooney would be to good for celtic
5.Juventus- pirlo would take celtic apart again
6. Dortmund- would destroy celtic

7.Bayern Munich - same as dortmund

Agree0 Disagree0

To above post, is that the3 same as Barca were meant to do!

Agree1 Disagree0

To the idiot third rate watcher. we've heard it all before from you mugs this year. helsinki, helsingborgs and so on. all sent homeward to think again. i hope you bet on your preferred outcomes as it keeps the odds up for us and i just love going in to get the winnings knowing it came from you elgin watchers. keep it up.

Did anyone else notice a wee cynical foul from mcgeady on samaras in the injury time last night? samaras was running with the ball and mcgeady, for me intentionally barged into sammys back even tho there were two spartak players tackling him. I just wonder if the wee man done it as a favour for celtic when we were just looking to see the last few minutes out? it seems that way to me, cheers aidan!

Neil lennon love him or loathe him got his tactics spot on in the champions league just look at chelsea and man city outstanding squad in both camps but cannot defend as a team !
who knows what can happen its the knockout stages one thing for sure it will generate at least 25-30 million pounds in revenue for celtic ...in this current climate without the old firm games it is very well recieved and with rangers in the current position they are in celtic can benefit for a few years

Believable14 Unbelievable7

There is no old firm

Brilliant performance last night. Everyones thoughts no doubt today will be about who we will get next. No matter who I'm sure the bhoys will put on a show.

On another matter is there anyone on here who travelled to Moscow for the Spartak game in 2007 whose flight was delayed for five hours. The flight I'm thinking of was booked as a charter flight through (Harry Hynds) travelled with British Midlands.

It seems there is a new E U ruling that's just come out where you can claim compensation from the airline for flights delayed for over 3 hours if the delay was down to them.
I was on the flight but like most people don't keep boarding passes and the like but you never know somebody might just have the info needed.
If anyone has any info on this can you post it as the compensation is about £480.
Hail! Hail! Proud to be a Tim.

Eds,

Have we sold Mccourt Paddy McCourt i just dont think i understand...its a pity him and Stokes are no were to be seen at the minute. Any news on them leaving in Jan? {Ed007's Note - Crystal Palace are lining up a January move for McCourt (Holloway is still chasing him), I don't know of any interest in Stokes, sorry.}

Believable0 Unbelievable1

We need Stokes back in the team for the SPL games, the sooner the better as his goalscoring and assist record are second to none.

Not fussed on what happens with McCourt

Agree0 Disagree0

I would take any offer for mccourt , I have nothing against him but dont feel he can offer anything to the current team, it would be benificial to both parties to let him move.
DB77

Agree0 Disagree0

Stokes has been injured have you been on mars? We have missed him.

Problem with McCourt is the other players have moved on in theyre developement and he has been left behind. Whether through injury or limited ability and physical stature. He has fell behind the rest. Its best if he moved on and got some games, although the championship is an even more physically challenging league than here. Almost every one of the championship sides are better than the teams up here outwith Celtic of course. 46 game season! Paddy would have to get himself in better shape.

Catch a grip mate, Paddy mccourt has cost celtic points in his few appearances this season, hes woeful and if you cant see this then your either deluded or a sevconion. All i want for xmas this year is for fans to give over about mccourt and for him to b sold or even freed. if you were a proper fan you would be more worried about young mcgeouch gettin a game

Being a Co Derry man I am a Mc Court fan but am also wise enough to know he is out of his depth in the present squad ...A move on can only favour both parties .Can continue supporting Celtic first and foremost but also enjoy watching out for Paddy playing in a league where he is comfortable ....

Agree0 Disagree0

As for Stokes ,I've already said here a fully fit Stokes is every bit as good if not better than Hooper ...TTTS

Agree0 Disagree0

Think we will let McCourt go on a free to avoid any potential riots if we sell him :D

Agree0 Disagree0

Celtic Thomas ..In all fairness Paddy has also contributed to Celtic wins ...I'm sure if everyone took your view we could all find a reason why Wanyama/Forrest/Hooper/Commons/Forster all lost games ... Tunnel vision on your behalf me thinks ..TTTS

Scotland First Minister, Alex Salmond, in Scottish Parliament opens with congratulations to Celtic and Neil Lennon, stating Neil is on his way to being legend.
Leader of opposition replies and disagrees stating he's not on his way to being a legend (implying he already is).

Hail Hail.

Nice gesture from a podgy self seeking fool who has criminalised the Celtic Support.
Keep your congratulations, you cretin, and hang your fat face in shame. Utter, Utter shame on you.

This is true I saw it on TV at 1200hrs today.
He wasn't congratulating Celtic fans. He congratulated Lenny and the Club.
It's not for a fan to tell him to keep his good wishes.

About 20 odd years ago i was in a hotel bar when the fat controller came in with some political chums and sat at the table next to us for a pre dinner g and t. rangers had won the league that very day with sally getting the winner. his gin was swiftly raised to his company in a toast to " alastair mcCoist " jambo my a**e ! true story.

Just seen this on a site about how much revenue has been generated from
this CL campaign
Play-off participation €2,100,000
Group stage participation €5,300,000
Match fees €3,300,000
Projected market pool €11,000,000
Performance bonuses €3,500,000
Last 16 qualification bonus €3,500,000

Total to date €28,700,000
approx (£23.3m)

My question is what about gate money
and hospitality is this above this amount and if so anybody any ideas how much?
By my estimates about another £6-8 million.
So how much do you think will be released for players in january?
Im not hoping for 3 good young players
sticking with our current sining policy.
A creative midfielder
A comanding CH
and a Physical CF (for variation)

Hope the board are listening as a lot of Celtic fans would agree with you ,after last night performance Enenike would be a great purchase to take up the physical centreforward role .

Agree0 Disagree0

Doubt it mate. We have a champions league quality side. I think we might pick up a couple of promising players, but I don't see us spending big. That money will go into the coffers. It will only start to be spent if we lose players. IMO

Agree0 Disagree0

Emenenke would be great but I doubt he'd come here his wages are astronomical

Amazing tonight. The crazy thing was how close Benfica came to winning as well. But that aside, if we had held on just 30 seconds longer at the Nou Camp, we'd have finished TOP of the group.

Great Effort Bhoys.

Correct. I said the same last night.
That very very late goal really hurt.
I didn't want Forrest on as a sub, we were playing defensive and he is out and out attacker. Lenny was asking for trouble with that decision.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes and if sammy hasnt scored the last minute winner in russia we would be out

Ed am over the moon tonight with the result. Just looking at all the comments tonight and dont see much about Broony. Not even fit and i thought he was superb. Chased everything,broke down there play. For me was man of the match. Sammy and Commons were class to as was the team. Just wanted to make a wee point about Broony. {Ed007's Note - Brown has split the support for a while, I have always been a fan of his and it is good to see some of the doubters change their mind.}

I had my uncle on facebook (a defector to man utd) who was giving him absolute pelters throughout the match. I was surprised because he looked to be working his socks off and regularly winning possession for us. Got home and watched it again on sky+ and come to the comnclusion my fat uncle is a rocket! Broony is a ledge.

Your fat uncle is a rocket mate dis-own the fat f**k,.,.kbarry

Yer uncle will have his head in his hands when we roast the Red Devils in the next round. That's a plain roast not a premiership spit roast. Sopot Celt
