just wonderin if any 1 knows the actual extent 2 broonys hip injury? because as far as I know he was suppose 2 be going for surgery after the spartak game and was delaying it but obv nothings happened yet and nothings been said about it and he's continued playing and tbh doesn't even look like thers any injury troubles at all but was wondering incase him continuing 2 play with an 'injury' could cause more damage in the long run

Broony came out and said after the spartak game he didn't know why people were talking about an operation. and that he didn't feel he needed it also said he wanted people to stop talking about it cause there was nothing serious to the injury. I think if he needs it, he will get it done at the end of the season. Why go for an op when you don't need it and run the risk of breaking down when you try to return to action? Wouldn't make sense, would only make sense if it was going make things worse by playing through the pain.

Hes been out injured with that injury umpteen times though so ther must be some sort of problem ther

Any1 know if Tom rogic will be in the the squad for caley on Saturday?

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Not sure for def but a would imagine he will be mate think we will be trying to win the game early then try rest a few players for the juve game so can def see him getting some game time this wknd along with stokesy again

gunniebhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't see it. he's just started playing for the reserves, even though he scored I don't think we will see him until after the juve game. Sorry gunniebhoy.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lenny did say that he was going to rest players, with Rogic not been named in the Champions League squad then he might play on Saturday. Antony

I hope so, at least off the bench.

Yes. Lennon said on his twitter that Rogic was ready to be included in the squad. He'll probably be on the bench at best, but would not be surprised in the least to see him start if Lennon wants to rest key attackers like Commons etc. for Juventus.

Just seen the line-up for the STV coverage of Celtic v Juventus is Henrik Larsson, David Moyes, Marcotti and Jackie McNamara. Commentators - Derek Rae & Alan Brazil : -)

I'm looking for a clean sheet at Celtic Park. Juventus are tough nuts to crack defensively & have only conceded 16 goals in Serie A after 23 games.

Neil Lennon got his tactics spot on with Barcelona and the team gave 110%, here's hoping for a repeat.

Is it sad that I keep googling "Juventus injuries"? I have faith in the Hoops, but any help we can get would surely be welcome.

That fat Tory ba***rd Brazil! He needs chasing from Celtic Park. A permanent embarrassment as a Celtic Fan. If it was not a freebie he would be no where near the game!. . . green jhedi

Agree0 Disagree1

Not a bad Studio line-up though GJ.

I would just LOVE the last 8, it would be mega fantastic! ~ Mrs E

Crackin line up for the studio

I don't agree with you Mr. Jhedi Alan Brazil is a top man and should not be chased from Celtic Park. He fights the Celtic corner on argue sport every time he is on. I am glad he will be at the game and he has every right to be just the same as any other Celtic fan lucky enough to be going. Be nice to Alan please Mr. Jhedi.

In my opinion Mrs E as good a team as Barca are we came out victorious (almost twice) due to our height advantage. Juventus are a totally different team with a different style of play. However hoping for a cracking game :)
@jockdj83

Agree0 Disagree0

Not a bad studio line up as most TV panels covering The Celtic have a 'blue corner'.
I'm glad Henrik is there to inspire the Bhoys as this will be our toughest test yet.
Barcelona try to beat you at football, but the Italians have much more to their game - especially when the stakes are so high.
I remember well the 3-2 defeat in Turin, so I'm not too confident to be very honest. But I wasn't confident to get out of that group, so what do I know?.

I have to agree with GJ, Brazil is forever talking about freebies. He missed the Barca game because of a supposed cold and that was all expenses paid! I texted in the next morning after the game slating him and how real Celtic fans would have walked from London for a ticket to the game. He didn't have b@lls to read out.

Think he was the natural choice and should be captain for the forseeable future, well done to Strachan for the choice, no doubt will have annoyed some at the SFA.

Until Fletcher returns Brown is the man most fitting for the armband, no bias at all.

Has Lenny put unneeded pressure on himself, and the team, by stating he wanted St Mirren in the cup?The press will now try and portray this as some kind of grudge match, this will surely play into St Mirrens hands. When he first said it I was hoping it would not happen and I found it strange he said this as St Mirren, to my knowledge, have not gloated or been disrespectful to Celtic regarding the game. I assume the reason might be Lenny was as angry as the rest of us and is challenging his players. Fine, a motivational tool, but it heaps a lot of pressure on him, on a tight pitch, against a team with nothing to lose.

Believable3 Unbelievable11

Like Lennon, and i'm sure the players too, I would also like St. Mirren. What's the matter with a bit of sporting revenge?

Agree1 Disagree0

Or much-needed pressure?

Agree1 Disagree0

It was also going to portrayed as a revenge match even if lenny said nothing. the reason he wanted st mirren was to prove the team aren't failures like some people have it out to be

also this post is just another fine example of someone wanting to moan for the sake of it

Agree1 Disagree0

All Lenny has done is highlight the negative performance in the league cup to instill some much needed fire in the belly of the guys that let the club down so badly with that inept outing to Hampden. We SHOULD be going out there and doing a job on St. Mirren with all due respect to a team that fought more than we did for the place in the final. but our ability allied to the effort applied by our opponents in that game should be the minimal expectation and enough to see off the saints. Lenny is bang on to comment on this to ensure we redeem ourselves with a positive Celtic showing.

Agree1 Disagree0

I heard the St. Mirren boys could be heard signing Oh the Celtic are sh*te from they're dressing room afterwards. Can't blame them after that performance they were up against but maybe its wound Lennon and the players up a bit. Nothing wrong with a bit of sporting revenge as long as its done in the spirit of the game which i'm sure it will be.

Agree1 Disagree0

Ahl tell ye whit pressure is "gettin yur heid in clamped in a vice wae big boaby demstur staunin behind ye pittin surgical gloves oan!"
