If this is true i'll be delighted, been impressed with this guy since the first time I saw him, he reminds me of (dare I say it) Neil McCann who should of been a Celtic player too, most importantly finally a player who can find a man regularly with a crossed ball which we've been screaming out for for years. Don't believe it. Made 30 appearances last year for villa, most in the starting line up. I wouldn't be surprised if we signed him, but I would if we do for only 1.5 m

He's not agreed a deal with us or anyone! And like people said, he's a free agent I'm sure he got released. Its not on any websites or that so how do u know about it? I think someone has been playing to much fifa. {Ed007's Note - Bannan is not available on a free, nor has he been released. AV have said they will listen to offers for the player who has one year left on his contract.}

Last I heard was Lambert was willing to listen to offers for him, this was mid June tho. I was hoping he would join us at Blackpool! If you get him you have a player with huge potential at your disposal.

He's fell out with DiCanio though apparently. £4M is the most i'd expect to pay for him to be honest. Yes he's good for his age but I think you could get better for your money elsewhere. Barbosa on a free for example.

I'm hearing we're in for Alou Diarra but only if we make the CL.

Can't see it. Great player, but I think we will go for someone younger to replace wanyama - due to the sell-on potential.

Was outstanding at marseille a couple of seasons ago (playing centre back) but is really a holding midfielder. Honestly I think we'll go for a younger player in for Wanyama. His wages will be sky high too. Jean-Pierre Laguerre

I don't think we will replace big vic, I can see lenny putting efe ambrose there next season. if we sign that defender that's on trial and poss another one we won't replace big vic. we have enough bodies for the CM position. I can see lenny maybe going for a winger and a striker even if hooper stays, if hooper goes I think 2 strikers will come in but another winger is a must!
