Typical, if Celtic are allegedly interested in a player it can only be because they are selling a better player. Surely it is possible we are buying to strengthen our defence by adding a player .

Balde's minute for goal record isn't terrible. We can assume he must be utter p*** in training to warrant his appearance in the first team and when played only to dilute the agro of his wasted transfer fee. I've been all for a rebuild of the team but it's been makeshift or nonexistent so far but why replace deadwood with chipboard?

I watched a good bit of the Nancy game against Dijon on Friday night and this boy was a standout. always wanting the ball, running at people, creating chances yhe type of player we need imo

He's going to cost. 3m utd don't seem to budge on their valuations but definitely worth it! I'd like us to sign May as well but don't think it will happen 800k is worth the risk

That seems abit straight forward to me the celtic way is to put a really low bid in then see him disappear to the english leagues for a little bit more.

The lad should have been signed in summer, would love it to happen if true great player but agree with Robbhoy we will make piss poor bid £100,000 probably or the classic we done way Johnny Russell can we be kept informed if any bids.

The club will probably make a derisory offer which will rightly be rejected and then can claim that they made an offer that they thought matched their valuation.
Oldest trick in the book, and doesn't old PL love it!

Always find it strange that we are willing to pay that sort of money for foreign players that no-one has ever seen or heard of, but are alway reluctant to spend it on players we've seen and know very well!

Celtic are looking to a possible swap deal with Lokeren using their interest in Balde as part of a deal to sign Hans Vanaken or Alexander Scholz.

Lokeren would want a additional million for Vanaken, Where as Scholz would likely be a straight swap deal.

There has also been contact with Rijeka about Kramaric, however this would likely fail unless Celtic make the CL as the fee would be around 3.5mil

No one will be signing from Stromsgodset.

Forster and Van Dijk's agents have both had meetings in Glasgow in the last 3 weeks and both have been told that Celtic are open to offers but they won't be sold until after the CL situation is known.

Commons isn't likely to sign a new deal in the near future as the club have offered him 2 years at 16k per week. A offer that's less than he currently earns, coming off the back of a brilliant season, it wasn't well received.

Lastly Griffiths has had discussions with Deila about his position as he is unhappy about being played as a winger. This is why he didn't start against Legia.
