P1sh, not a chance, unless we get him for 2 million

Talk about having a high opinion of yourself! He got his big move to a big club in a big league and guess what he was a big fat flop. So as far as I'm concerned he can beg PL all he wants but I think he'll find his level in the Championship.

@Badbhoy I don't understand your attitude towards Hooper, and I know a lot of people share the same view as you. He gave us 3 wonderful seasons, scored an awful lot of goals and fancied a new challenge, and only after the club agreed to sell him might I add. He was the top scorer for a team that created nothing. He outscored a multi-million Dutch international so he is a very good striker. At no point did he claim to be leaving for a bigger club. This bitterness towards players who leave Celtic from some of our supporters is utterly ridiculous and over the top in my opinion. Great player for us, helped us win trophies, decided to move on to try and win a cap. Alright it didn't work out last season but that shouldn't make you happy you should want him to do well after the good memories he left us. This is only my opinion of course.

Well said kev bhoy & much better than we have

Shocking attitude "badbhoy". Lol

Kevbhoy, he signed a contract and then he didn't want to honour it. Do you honestly think that playing with Norwich increased his chance of winning a cap, it diminished his chances considerably in my opinion, playing with Celtic he would have had CL exposure and his confidence would still have been high. I'm not bitter I just don't want him back. He had everything in paradise and threw it all away.

He was poor in Europe, what we need is a CF with European pedigree not Hooper back to fight it out with Stokes and Griffiths. I think Kris Commons filled the gap left by Hooper competently.

Agree1 Disagree0

If we could get him back up here I wouod be well happy.
These english lads are brought up believing the bpl is the be all and end all of the game and with it being world cup seaeson he believed he need to play in the bpl to have a chance of getting on that plane. I don't feel any animosity to the guy at all
It didny work out for him and he was unlucky not to get more game time.
If we were to get him back it woupd be a fantastic signing

Agree0 Disagree0

Would love to see it happen but I honestly don't think it will I'm afraid HH

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said kevbhoy I totally agree, as for bad bhoy I don't think you know what your saying mate, I respect your opinion but he was hardly crap in Europe if he was the top goalscorer in 2012/13, as for being top goalscorer in all 3 seasons. Look, the guy wanted to go and try and enhance his career but it didn't really work out, he scored goals for us and helped in big matches, so there's nothing wrong than testing yourself in a far more superior league. All it takes is one wonder season down South with a lower team and you would be wright up the pecking order calling for a call up, if for instance, the young lad Saido berahino who plays for west brom scored 25 goals next season, your trying to tell me wouldn't get a look in? Look at Michu with spain, he had a wonder season in his first at Swansea and he got called up so it just depends. I would definetely have hooper back instead of stokes or griffiths as none of them cut it for me

Agree0 Disagree0

Naw keep hooper at Norwich,

I posted last week about how my Auld dear works with Steve Clarke's brother. According to her Stevie hasn't even been contacted by Celtic which is very strange as he should be a definite candidate! According to his brother he thinks it may be a smokescreen for Malky? I hope I'm wrong as I'd love him to be manager.

I know for a fact Clarke has been spoken to and asked if he'd take the job well before Lennon left. Clarke has been lined up for this for a while, I just don't understand why they're taking so long to get the deal done

Agree1 Disagree1

@91bhoy, I hope your facts are correct, but what I known has come through Stevie's brother, and he says that he hasn't been spoken to. I also know that he would walk to Paradise for the job. But as I said I hope you are right.

Agree1 Disagree1

If we haven't even spoken to Steve Clarke then u really have 2 question what's going on behind the seens at paradise. Steve Clarke is everything PL would want i.e. He doesn't have 2 pay a penny for him as he is a free agent and he probably has enough contacts to get loan deals on sum of the best young talent in the premiership saving PL even more money. It's frightening to hear names like Coyle, Houston, Keane etc bein touted for the job. We are in a position of strength we need to keep building on. Didn't we learn our lesson with Dalglish/Barnes and Mowbray which financially cost us dearly!

Agree0 Disagree0

Sparky I've heard the same as 91bhoy Stevies dad says he's been speaking to celtic since just after Lennon left

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't see why everybody is so interested in Steve Clarke, he might have worked with good managers but does he match our criteria? Does he know how to develop younger players? Does he know this club and what it takes to succeed? Any real success in management before? He ticks no boxes what so ever for me and it's only my opinion as everybody else has there's but why are we not going for the likes of Paul lambert or jackie McNamara who have done exceptionally well with man management of younger lads especially jackie. The board probably know heehaw about Steve Clarke and he, s only a candidate as we won't have to pay any compensation, usual again tight wods from the board, I'd much rather pay 2 or 3m in compensation to Aston villa for lambo who knows exactly what's required here and has worked wonders with Norwich and villa under difficult circumstances

Agree0 Disagree0

All this I know, he knows, she knows nonsense. No one knows anything! Unless you're Dermot Desmond, Peter Lawwell or the candidate for the job!
