We've been fine with either ajer or benko playing. but they won't be on wed. I'm not keen on boyata after the summer debacle but I would rather him at CH than Hendry.

It's a tough one because Boyata's a far better player than Hendry currently but what message does it send when we've got half a defence fit and he still can't get in ahead of a guy who isn't interested?

I hear everything people are saying about Hendry, but in his defence he has not been played in his prefered position and without a run in the team nor a regular partner.
Watching Ajer and Siminovic play together I get the feeling this is the pairing in practise matches and in training. They look confortable with one and other likewise Boyata and Benekovic.
He has been played at RB and on right of a three he plays like Ajer in style and physical appearance and i would prefer Hendry or Bitton to Boyata. We have looked much better with ball playing defenders. Boyata may have a role to play in difficult away matches and I would like us to play 3 central defenders at Valencia and Ibrokes and maybe at Pittodrie and Tynecastle.

I appreciate a lot of us don’t want to play Boyata, but unfortunately it’s not worked out for Hendry with us. It seems every mistake he makes costs a goal, personally if he was to play and we dropped points a lot of the fans on here would be moaning about playing him. I honestly can’t see a future for Hendry which is a shame as he has pace and a big lad but like I said earlier , every mistake he makes is getting punished. I’d rather play Boyata and win the league, than take a risk just for pride . If we were 10/ 12 points clear I’d say bomb Boyata out as well.

Our fans have already destroyed Hendry . In facts the fans that abused him from stands or in social media should be banned from both Celtic Park and social media.

Really don't understand the anti Boyata sentiment. He gets paid for us to do a job and as long as Celtic pay his wages he's our player and a professional. I agree with Quinn1888 in this argument in that I'd rather win with Boyata than risk. Most footballers nowadays follow the money. They commit themselves for a period of time 3-4 years then see if they can get better wages elsewhere. Who among us, if offered twice the wages, would not leave our jobs in a heartbeat.

Donjim Celtic were also paying his wages when he made himself unavailable for selection in the CL qualifiers against Athens. An unforgivable act imo. Not doubting he has played well this season but for me he should never have been given the opportunity after what he did.

DonJim, I would move for double my wages but I don’t get paid £15k/ week. What can these guys buy with £30k/ week that they can’t afford on £15k/ week?
