Evening ed. Never like to see a celtic player injured but it can only be good news that loovens is out for 6 weeks. Id like to see Mulgrew get his chance in there with Wilson now.

In amongst all the fuss over his poor performances and glaring errors, Loovens is another one that always seems to be injured. He was dropped last season after I think the St. Johnstone 3-2 game but was then injured shortly after for several months and possibly even a second time.

Just another reason to sell him IMO. Unfortunately 6 weeks happens to include the closing of the transfer window so if he really is in the shop window we'll do well to offload him if he's not at least fit for training.

Think wilson would flourish beside the no nonsense style of big dan. as much as i would love mulgrew to be a regular i think dan would be a better option for now

Thats Majstorovic problem, he'snot no nonsense. To many times last season he thought he was Fabio Cannavaro.

Give Wanyamma, (spelling) a start, he was bought as a centre back, looks physicaly strong, has pace, good passer, ok young and naieve at times, but worth a try, i think he will be a star in the SPL

I never liked Loovens but he has looked good so far this year in pre season games and our one SPL match.

Alright hoops rangers r out, who cares its our team we need to worry about, We NEED a Keeper soon to gel in with the back 4, loovens is out for 6 weeks, what happens if we get another cb injured ??? I think we have one of the best midfield in years so dont need anyone in that position. I like Stokes think he has got the heart and passion we love and him and hooper work well. We need to get rid of the dead wood that r taking wadges out of the club before we can improve our squad.

Keep hearing we r going to get c gordan in jan but can we wait till then??

Reckon the Europa Lge draw will be a laugh, we should both be seeded (I've done my homework). 30 odd teams get seeded, 30 odd don't. We'll be at worst mid-20's. Wikipedia again, pretty good info as long as its legit.

Just so that we can put this Bellamy thing 2 Bed, there is no chance that he will sign for us as he doesn't want want to play for us, do we really want to sign him? i personally think it will just be a complete waste of any funds that we have for any players, have a fans forgotten that Motherwell game at the end of the season? it was Bellamy who missed the 1 on 1 with the keeper so as far as im concearned it was him who cost us the league so do we really want him back pay him loadsa money & take a massive gamble? what do you think Ed? {Ed007's Note - I didn't want CFC to sign him and I am glad the deal looks dead. celtic should sell loovens coz he is the week link when he plays

It looks like Lennon rates him as he started the 1st game in pre season, he possibly sees Daniel Majstorovi as the weak link. i know he had extra time off but if he was 1st chioce would he not have started against Inter? while Loovens did

I think Loovens was put in the shop window as long as a few fringe players, Majstorovic is way ahead of Loovens in the pecking order, we need majstorovic for the league.

I agree lennon was putting players like maloney loovens murphy and samaras in the shop window in dublin.

Only just noticed mate, he has been for 3 years now, thing is its hard to sell a defender with such little ability, if celtic had a decent offer he would be walked right out of the parkhead gates pronto, same with most of our fringe players. hail hail.

It's looking more and more like lenny and the board will wait and do their business as late as possible in the transfer window in order to see who becomes available once the EPL have chosen their squads especially in regards to a gk. I wouldn't expect any signings straight away. Btw does anyone know if tonights game is on tv or another source?

If there is a god he will not let joey barton through the golden gates at paradise. The guy is a complete and utter ned. Bringing a player like that to the team will only have a downside to it in my view. Everytime you read in the papers about joey barton it is negative press, we dont need that at our club, whats your views ed? See that is the problem Ed when we Signed Diouf the majority of fans were appalled there was a minority that thought he was a good signing all for the wrong reasons but the club went and signed him anyway.

i think if Neil Lennon gets the chance to sign joey Barton he will its all down to self preservation and all Lennon will be looking at is winning the League the same as Walter done Barton is a phenomenal talent but he makes Diouf Goodwillie etc look like alter boys i don't want him going to Celtic but thats for football reasons only.

if Celtic did sign Barton a small section of your fans would give him cult status and not for his footballing abilities just like Diouf got at Ibrox and he had no footballing abilities his status was achieved for spitting on a Celtic Fan.

Just read on my news app Willie McKay, Bartons agent saying that it's great news that he's allowed to leave for free and they're talking to a number of clubs Including top EPL sides. I'm a Gers fan but knew Celtic fans were thinking of Barton so I come in peace just to say that. As the Ed said he's another Diouf. Joey Barton would walk into our team. If you disagree, you're wrong. As for his off-field problems or temperament or whatever, Joey's been well behaved for a while now and unlike most of us seems to have gotten past his mistakes and became a better person. We'll never afford him so don't even know why people are linking him to Celtic but would love to see Barton in the hoops. {Ed007's Note - I don't know where the link to CFC has come from either. But for the last time, will people stop trying to defend him, it is a futile endeavour. He HAS not changed in any way, in his off field actions or in his personality. 1st time poster. How about Hilario from Chelsea? Cudicini from Spurs, they only payed around 1mil for him n they jst signed freidel. Or even Dudek, hes a free agent. All decent keepers with experience tht we need for europe this season. Wages maybe a stallin point but get them on the cheap the more wages they could get.
