Lesley is a Crystal palace player. Confirmed.

Good luck to him.

Thommobhoy

Believable9 Unbelievable8

*sighs* Gutted.

~seamus~

Agree0 Disagree1

I have you sussed now Seamus, hello Mrs Lesley .

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm glad, not for losing him but wee got money for a player we don't need as he was never stayin after this season so frees up wages, 1st team slot, bench and last but not least treatment table .not slaggin him thought he done ok for us always thought he could do better if wasn't for injurys, good luck to him
Hail hail

Agree1 Disagree0

Hope he enjoys his new pub team! No being out of order. But he will never grace the camp nou again.

Deano1967

Agree2 Disagree0

Good luck to him but not sad in the slightest

Iain

Agree1 Disagree0

We'll said Deano - Ledley said plenty when hooper was leavin but has now shown the level of his own ambition good luck joe!

Agree1 Disagree1

What do you mean good luck **** him guy will just turn out like Hooper a small bot time player we are Celtic a club like no other we welcome you Leigh Griffiths

ab

Agree0 Disagree0

Good Luck Joe, great servant to club and also left where we at least get a fee. unlike the Greek tragedy!
Joe NEVER gave less than 100% and deserves our thanks.
Sami should not play for the club again, we have no reason to keep him match fit for the World Cup.would rather see players that want to play for club!

Agree1 Disagree1

Gutted but knew it ws coming, shame no-one took Sammy though. All the best super Joe :)

Agree0 Disagree0

Spot on AB, supper joe my Arse, he was Pish Lennon didn't even play him that much CL leave . Sure he did a job against spfl teams, he was nothing great and he will miss us long befor we miss him trust me .
Bobo2009

Agree0 Disagree0

He got more money, but he will nothing else good luck to him

Agree0 Disagree0

I bet you all cheered when he scored though!

Agree0 Disagree0

I loved the guy until I seen the team he signed with, just another money grabber in my opinion who basically used us. He was a top earner here on at least 25k a week and if his ambition is to swap a club like celtic with the best supporters out there and the champions league and everything that comes with it to a relegation dogfight battle with a championship level team then it just sums the guy up, if it was everton or newcastle or someone then I would say all the best mate and thanks for the memories but the guy is a nobody now just like gary hooper, not botherd the slightest so I would rather have boys who play for the jersey and not the money

Greenbhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

@greenbhoy that's harsh mate about ledley and hooper. It was their ambition to play in the EPL before they even signed for us and they done a fantastic job for us. Norwich and Crystal Palace are not the biggest of teams granted, but to play against teams like man utd, man city, liverpool week in, week out surely makes up for that

KP1888

Agree0 Disagree0

I think personally a lot of the animosity is coming because people know in their hearts we are losing a good player. We move on now, its yesterdays news, I support the team and current squad fully, even the ones I don't like because they play for my club. And I also will follow the careers of any players that leave us, I like to see them do well no matter what they are just guys doing a job HH

Ed Is it true that Griffiths can't play on Sunday because he wasn't registered or signed in time for a 5 pm deadline? DH

Believable2 Unbelievable5

{Ed007's Note - I haven't heard that buddy.}

Yes that is true not reg in time

Agree0 Disagree0

Wot do u mean not registered in time surely the spfl wouldn't stop a new celtic signing playing

Agree1 Disagree0

Cha67. surely not again, good job the bunnet isn't here. lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Griffiths, will get 40/50 goals with celtic he has got it and Lennon will make him better for celtic and scotland, I look forward to this wizard.

Agree0 Disagree0

I know peeps make stuff up on here some times but 40/50 goals . hope your talking the length of his contract which if u are is a pathetic return and we'll get rid to Aberdeen or some other club which is his level

Agree0 Disagree0

40/50 goals from this wizard! . We've signed Leigh Griffiths not fkn Harry Potter . Comedy Gold . DH

Agree0 Disagree0

Griffiths will get plenty of goals for Celtic am really looking forward to seeing him in a jersey! A think he is a steal!

Tipped this move to everyone on here on the 15th!

Agree0 Disagree0

40 to 50 goals aye dream on, no better than stokes or riordan another cheap option, then the usual we tried to sign blah blah 3 million blah blah

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Feb 2014 22:23:06
Your so wrong paddybhoy this boy has more passion and drive than stokes and pukki put together mark ma words this bhoy will do well in the hoops. And call me auld fashioned but am even prouder he's a young scottish talent IMO we can improve.

Agree1 Disagree0

Time will tell stewboy but can't argue the fact that once again we have been sold well and truly short, all the excuses about deals falling through are wearing thin.

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Jan 2014 21:44:57
Anybody know what the amount accepted for ledley was? I thought it was 700k and articles an people are saying 2.5 million?

Believable0 Unbelievable4

If it's £2.5m then it has been terrific business by the club. I like Ledley and I would have been disappointed if he had gone without a decent replacement in place but hopefully Johansen will fill the role. I'm still a bit disappointed we didn't try for young Gauld at Dundee Utd though. I know his price was high but he looks to have immense talent and could have made a great contribution to us followed by a potentially great sell on value in the future.

Hail Hail
ChrisBhoy

Agree1 Disagree1

2.5 mill mate! Good business as usual but team getting weaker, lie well fleecing all of us!

Agree0 Disagree2

Reports saying deal did not go through on time! Sopotcelt.

Agree0 Disagree1

I think celtic will be keeping gauld in there sights and if a club did come in this window I would expect celtic to push the button, happy to see him mature under Jackie and snap him up in the future?
Bobo2009

Agree0 Disagree0

Good business as usual? Last midfielder we had like joe was Lennon! Could break play and move forward! For the sake of 24k a week! Lenny cost 6 mill with wages on top! Where we going to find a proven replacement? Sad day at paradise! And big slimey sammy still picking up wages for f@&k all! Best wishes super joe! Was a pleasure watching you!

Agree1 Disagree0

How do I start my own post? could someone help just started on here thanks

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - At the left hand side of your screen there is a list of different sections, choose the Post Rumours or Post Banter and then just enter your text. Any problems let me know and we'll get you sorted.}

The longer we wait for Gauld - The higher the price. Dundee Utd are no mugs when it comes to transfer fees - unlike us!
We haggle and hesitate over pounds and end up with cheap replicas or Eff All.

JJ

Agree0 Disagree0

Its like the match day attendance but in reverse.

If yous think players want to stay to be loyal then your off your head Ledley wanted away al lefts give him a good send off guys

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Jan 2014 21:25:14
Joe Ledley has arrived at the Crystal Palace Training Ground. Will be very tight as to whether or not deal goes through.

~seamus~

Believable2 Unbelievable3

Possibly one of the worst transfer windows ever!
Sold down the river again AND Samaras and Balde still at the club, unbelievable!

Agree1 Disagree0

31 Jan 2014 21:40:24
Keep us up to date Seamus. I'm still holding out hope that Joe will sign a new contract with us. Give him Sammy's wages on top of his own and he'll stay

Agree0 Disagree0

Ledley fit as a butchers dog, medical a formality. Big Q what is the transfer fee?

Agree0 Disagree0

When will we ever learn?
Hooper would gladly have stayed for £24k but we waste millions trying to replace him in transfer fees and wages .

Now we letting super joe go because we won't pay him what he wants and is worth.

By far & away our best player . We know selling quality & bringing in inadequate replacements . Some times 2-3 to fill one quality position. False economy or what?

By the way joe was outstanding on Wednesday night so if he does go he certainly went out on a high!

Agree0 Disagree2

31 Jan 2014 22:10:14
Joe's gone Seamus any idea how much we got for him?

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Jan 2014 22:52:01
Just noticed your post above bbj get a grip man what have you found wrong wi Balde.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah I'm with Stevie, I like Balde, he's done nothing wrong. Everytime he gets 5 mins he scores. I'd be holding onto him. Agree with Sammy though, he needs a fresh start.

Melb Bhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Ha ha! did you see balde trying to run with the ball on wednesday? the support were cheering him for taking two touches in a row! lmao.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not posting editor?

Fulham bid 10 million euros for finboggason before they signed mitroglu we would never have been able to compete for his signature yet it was all people kept going on about. Hopefully now we can all accept he will never be a celtic player

Believable8 Unbelievable5

You're probably right but he'll go for less in the summer as he will only have a year left on his contract. It's almost a replica of the Hooper scenario from last year.

~seamus~

Agree0 Disagree1

Why? Wasn't he available for 6mil?

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Jan 2014 20:41:03
It's sad the way football has gone OB1, it is now run by TV money. Teams like Fulham, Southampton, Hull etc able to outbid a club as huge as Celtic is tragic. When we identify any decent player that can improve us there is always a club from a cash laden league who will outbid us. I honestly think the way we are run is perfect for the environment we are in. Our dealings in the transfer market recently have been impressive, not all of them I know but Wanyama, Forster, Ki, Ledley, Van Dijk to name a few have put us in a very strong position. John Park is doing some job just hope he doesn't get poached by some inferior TV money laden club .

Agree2 Disagree1

I get what your saying 0B1. But not entirely true!
€10mil is roughly £6mil.
Herenveen Need the money and Finnbohassons contract will mean less by the summer.
From what we are being spoon fed by the board and NL, that type of deal is doable but in the real world, yeah he won't be at Celtic as we are being sold down the river!

Bigbadjohn

Agree1 Disagree0

We had our chance last summer and done usual cut corners and signed pukki £2.6m. Add griffith £1.5m and balde £1.4m comes to £5.5m. I reckon we could of doubled our money in a couple of seasons if we got finnbogasson last summer

KP1888

Agree1 Disagree0

We were more than able to compete for his signature in the summer but after a second season where he has continued to bang in the goals it was inevitable his value would rise as other clubs became interested.

We missed the boat with Finbogasson at a time when he could have been bought for a reasonable price but because our board won't budge from it's rigid signing policy he is now way beyond our reach.

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Jan 2014 21:18:20
BBJ 10 Million euros roughly 6 million quid? when were you last abroad more like 9 million quid

Agree0 Disagree0

@bigbadjohn €10million is £8.3million mate

KP1888

Agree0 Disagree0

Tried to post a couple of days ago on here about poitr parzyszek who just signed for charlton I think? Polish player, 6ft 2 20 year old . 16 goals in 20 games and only 20 years old! Bet the guy is worth a bomb I years to come! Big powerfull lad with great hold up / link up and an eye for goal!

Agree0 Disagree0

Pukki was £2.2 and griffiths £800k balde £1.7 m so that's £4.7m

Agree0 Disagree0

After NL says "strikers are at a premium" do hope we invest accordingly. Pukki is more like stokes and will come good. Griffiths is a good back up for summer signing.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol sorry lads a was thinking $ for some reason my mistake :0
Wow bit of a jump, but not surprising given the way he's playing.
Makes it worse then that we missed out on him before if it were ever a possibility?
Same stands though,,
Won't be worth as much come the summer and he won't be at Celtic
#rightfudd

Bigbadjohn

Agree1 Disagree0

We missed out the year before when we could have had him for 1 mil before herenveen signed him

Leigh Griffiths has taken the No. 28 shirt

~seamus~

Believable5 Unbelievable5

31 Jan 2014 20:05:29
That means he'll be wearing No 24! Only joking Seamus keep up your informative posts, your one of the main reasons I come on here to read your posts

Agree0 Disagree3

Im not to keen on the signing of griffiths, but to be fair to him I do think he will score goals domestically but its europe that concerns me

KP1888

Agree1 Disagree0

Wolves fan here - he is a really good player and will score a load of goals for you. Hope he does brilliant for you top player and a lot more than just a goal scorer.

Agree0 Disagree2

Much appreciated Stevie! I try my best haha ;)

supposed to be there this afternoon, anyone any news.

German/turkish striker cenk tosun was the 6 million pound striker that fell through

Noel

KP1888

So we are led to believe. Baaaahh.

Apparently we are making a last minute move for a right midfielder due to Forrests injuries, and that we are going for Ricardo Vaz Te or bring back tony watt

BelfastBhoy

Believable1 Unbelievable7

Why pay money/wages for vaz te when young Tony seems to be doing the business on loan in Belgium? Bring that boy back and give him a proper chance. I've still got really high hopes for him.

Virgil going to a Premier League team for £3m.

~not seamus~

Believable5 Unbelievable15

Stop talking rubbish a ken your no seamus has stuff at least look real ha ha

Agree1 Disagree0

I sense a zombie here! why would we feel the need to sell one of our best players for such a pathetic fee when he's still got a few years of a contract to go. This is an absolute non-starter.

Agree1 Disagree0

Lies lies lies!!!!

Agree1 Disagree0

In the immortal words of seamus " not happenin "

Chalmers signs for Falkirk on loan, I could see us going for Buttner again?

Believable0 Unbelievable9

Why do we let him go when Lennon has already said previously that we are short at left back

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Jan 2014 17:19:51
Just been reported on TV the fee agreed is £2.5m for Ledley if that's true then good bit of business if he wasn't going to sign on

Believable6 Unbelievable11

31 Jan 2014 17:15:23
tv news just said "A 2.5m bid for Ledley was accepted", surely not?

Believable2 Unbelievable11

31 Jan 2014 16:59:58
Just heard on TV that Ambrose to Fulham is back on.

If the money is right then fair enough but there's not much time to find a replacement.

MC1888

Believable4 Unbelievable10

Heard we've made a bid to bring Derek Whyte and Matt Elliott out of retirement to replace Efe.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wouldn't surprise me if we let him go. Would prefer to keep him even though he is a bomb scare! Could see lusting becoming a centre back partner for van dijk with Matthews and fisher fighting it out for right back

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Jan 2014 16:59:13
The noises coming from Celtic is that Ledley will now see out his contract along with Samaras then find a new club in the summer.

Believable5 Unbelievable11

31 Jan 2014 16:58:28
TV have just reported. Effe Ambrose could be on the move.

Believable6 Unbelievable4

31 Jan 2014 16:31:38
Any idea what's happening with Ledley Ed? It's strange a bid was accepted so long ago yet nothing has happened, typical silent Joe I suppose! Surely he has more ambition than Palace? Ledley is a brilliant footballer but his lack of clarification over the last few months has been very annoying.

Believable5 Unbelievable4

{Ed007's Note - I've been told Ledley is down having a medical with Palace.}

31 Jan 2014 16:47:19
Celtic quick news are near certain that griffiths will be only one in today most of us would call them a fairly reliable source

Don't expect any more business to be done this evening.

~seamus~

Believable4 Unbelievable8

There you go folks.
The gospel according to St. Seamus!

Hail Hail
ChrisBhoy

Agree2 Disagree0

I agree . Unless samaras leaves they might try big bid for replacent.

Agree0 Disagree0

@ChrisBhoy - Do you see any more business being done? I personally don't. Lennon said a deal fell through for a player from the Turkish league. Didn't say we still wanted to make more signings.

~seamus~

Agree0 Disagree0

Nice one chrisbhoy! Who needs sly sports and Jim white! Seamus should get his own show!

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm with you seamus. I don't see much happening either. We have had too many transfer windows where we've watched until the last minute with great hope and expectation then felt cheated when nothing happened. Like most fans I have become used to feeling cheated with decent transfers at times like this so I just shrug my shoulders and get on with my life.
I still keep an eye on it though! lol

Hail Hail
ChrisBhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

There's only one possible deal that could happen. Apparently Joe Chalmers is going on loan to Falkirk which could mean their left back Stephen Kingsley is leaving. Rumoured interest from Celtic.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why don't they just scrap the window in scotland it's pathetic sittin lookin in hoping and wishing but knowing we are getting hee haw

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Jan 2014 14:53:45
Any more ins or outs that you know of Ed? Heard we are trying to get a deal done with Falkirk for there LB with him staying there till the end of the season. Not exactly what we're looking for though.

Believable2 Unbelievable3

{Ed007's Note - I've heard a few people mention Stephen Kingsley but according to a Falkirk player I know it is all just paper talk so far.}

The only offer Falkirk have received today is from Swansea for Jay Fulton.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi ed I keep trying to put my text on rumours but its coming up on banter. I know have two same messages on banter making me look pretty stupid. Lol

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I don't know how that happened but that should be fixed now, sorry about that.}

31 Jan 2014 14:23:44
Well guys. I'm hearing Aron johansson will be in glasgow at 330 today from Amsterdam to have a medical with the club. It is believed that both clubs have agrees a £2.6 million (€3million) with add-ons deal and he will sign a 3 and a half year contract. Hopefully this is true

Believable15 Unbelievable15

Can't see it happening if Griffiths is signing. Very good player though.

Agree0 Disagree1

Would be nice

Iain

Agree1 Disagree0

Would love this to happen! Sly reporting is only medical holding griffiths up now! If joe stays then am a happy hoop tonight!

Agree0 Disagree0

And I'm hearing that this is rubbish. Celtic are finished for this window. Absolutely no chance we will be bringing in another striker today unless it is a "project."

~seamus~

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Jan 2014 16:27:08
I think no more strikers tonigh. Give what we have a chance then get rid off ones not producing in summer and bring proven scorer in like johansson or finbogasson

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Jan 2014 13:29:08
Reports coming out now that the Palace bid could rise to as much as £2.5m. Bit of a jump from the 700k this morning. Is this true?

Believable7 Unbelievable11

2.5 would be money not to turn down unless joe is going to stay? Would cost this or more to replace him

Agree0 Disagree0

I for one would be very sad to see Joe Ledley leave Celtic .
He has got what we've been lacking in previous years - Heart, Drive, Commitment and Talent .

The Sno Man

Agree0 Disagree0

Exactly. Its the 2.5 that Johansen cost. I'd love him to stay but if for whatever reason he's planning on moving now or the summer then take this. Hopefully Johansen can become the deep playmaker Ki used to be for us.

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Jan 2014 14:20:41
Commitment? why is he running down his contract then, no worries he did a job for us if he wants to go let him go and take whatever money we can get

Dannybhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe add ons if they stay up, doubt they will tho

John

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol! Commitment.
Will be sad to see joe go but if he ain't going to sign get the money now.
I am still hopefull he will sign a new contract as I don't see him wanting to join palce.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not sure this deal will go through, just see on sly NL saying as far as he knows ledley is still in glasgow. Some rumours saying he is considering signing the new deal, not sure how true that would be though. Would like to see him stay, but if he's not going to sign time to cash in he's the type of player you don't want to lese for hee haw!

S

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Jan 2014 13:23:28
Anyone hearing ledley wants 2 stay and a new contract being sorted out? seen it on fb

GunnieBhoy

Believable9 Unbelievable13

Would love this to be true! Prefer Ledley to kayal any day him and brown cm with commons just in front

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't know how much this is to go on - but apparently Ledley's mrs has been banging on about decorating their house and how it's just her and Commons' mrs left out the group via Twitter for a while. Seems he's settled and she's settled, so why is a new deal not being agreed?! Wouldn't surprise me if our biggest swoop of the window is - Joe Ledley signing a new deal!

Agree0 Disagree0

HB That would be a great signing, I am more than happy to have Joe Ledley at our club. I have always felt that Lennon has Joe playing too deep, but lately he been bombing forward more like in his Cardiff days and when he is doing that he is a great player. Hail Hail
TamTimTic

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm not denying it would be TTT, Ledley is by far our most consistant player and many a week our unsung hero! I was delighted when we snapped him from under Roma's noses. He doesn't get the credit he's due and people who think he's easily replaced don't know very much about the game!

Agree1 Disagree0

Letting Joe's contract run down was a stupid move by the club. He should have been re-signing after 18months and the club should always build in a year option so they have some room for manoeuvre. If we are going to spend a couple of million on a replacement for him why not just boos JL's salary by that amount an then we have a proven player and no danger of hit and miss.

If he goes I wish him all the best BUT I think he would like to be one of the invincibles!

Mo bangura has agreed verbally to cancel his contract with celtic and waiting for the club to agree also!

Celtic career ended I think once he played and had a disagreement with brown when we played against elfsborg!

Believable15 Unbelievable4

31 Jan 2014 10:48:33
I'm hearing that Mo Bangura will be released before the end of the window (if a bid doesn't come in for him) so he's free to join another club after the deadline.

Believable10 Unbelievable3

Just seen this on STV website now - it's been agreed verbally that he'll leave for free today according to Bangura's agent!

Agree0 Disagree0

Anyone remember seeing this:

New Celtic signing Mohamed Bangura has been tipped to be as big a hit at Celtic as Henrik Larsson, having idolised the player in his formative years.

Bangura completed his transfer to Parkhead, signing a four-year contract which will see him move to Glasgow from Swedish club AIK.

His agent, Patrick Mork, now believes the 22-year-old has everything to become a ‘legend like Larsson’ at Celtic, saying there are a striking amount of similarities between the pair.

“Growing up his idol was Henrik, ” Mork told STV. “Since the first moment I saw him, I thought ‘This is the next Larsson’.

“He is so similar as a player to Henrik. He even had dreadlocks but unfortunately he had them taken out in April. But he tells me he is going to let his dreadlocks grow again.

“He is perfect for Celtic. He will be a legend like Henrik Larsson. They have the same style of play and they both play with extremely big hearts. Both have the same work ethic but also the flair and individual skills.

Celtic boss Neil Lennon revealed on Tuesday that the club have been monitoring the progress of the Sierra Leone international striker for over a year and Mork says the Glasgow club have high hopes for Bangura.

“I watched him play with Celtic’s chief scout John Park on Sunday and he said to me ‘Our fans will love this player’, ” said Mork.

Larsson himself revealed earlier this week he had given Celtic a strong recommendation to sign Bangura, having been approached by his former team-mates.

“It was both Neil Lennon and Johan Mjällby who called me, " Larsson told Aftonbladet. "I told them that he is a clever, intelligent player.

“He is fast and strong. I think he is under 1.80 metres, yet he can hold players off. And most importantly, he scores well.”

Lol, God knows what Lennon, Park, Henke (forgive me Lord) + Bangura's agent seen in the lad, but we'll never know - 16 games (13 sub apps), 0 goals and 1 assist in 2 years and 5 months?!

Agree0 Disagree0

Great business. Vilify the guy make him an enemy and treat him like a criminal. I think he also got threats. How does he deal with it? Easy. Just play badly and negotiate a deal to get paid for another 6 months then pick up a nice little earner in Scandinavia where we will see his true form. Bad player? He and his agent have played a blinder and made a fortune! that's how encouraging bad blood and conflict from our manager profits us. Sopotcelt.

Suits the PLC down to a T - no dosh spent again. It's all about the money!

Exactly. Could see Celtic attempting to bring in one more player later on this evening.

Celtic have approached Dundee utd and have made a bid in the region of 750k for Ryan Gauld, surely this must be a replacement for Ledley, Also fully expect to see a LB join the club before the 11pm deadline seems like a busy day for the Hoops with potentially 3 signings and a few departures

Believable4 Unbelievable10

Not a chance at £750,000, ima Celtic fan, even iknow he would cost £2-4 Million

Agree0 Disagree0

He's no long signed a new contract so will never get him for anything under 1/2 - 2m I think

GunnieBhoy

Nobody will leave. Griffiths will sign. That will be all probably.

Seamus on the ball as usual! Do you not have a tv or radio? You should be on Comedy Central or gold man! For 1 night only seamus live at the Apollo

Agree0 Disagree0

Supposedly Davie Moyes was quoted 6 million for Gauld, I really like the kid and would maybe go to about 3/4 but with loads of stipulations added - maybe 2 million up front for eg. I still think we are short of a bit of guile, and a bit of pace in the team. If Fulham were to come in for Efe, we would be left well short, he along with a few others are away all summer too, and with these qualifiers we have in July(at a neutral venue technically) well bottom line, I know I'm like a broken record, but we have money, for God's sake buy a bit of quality, the money ISN'T getting wasted, we are bringing assets into the club. As long as the players are under 25 we have a re-sale value! Paul

Rumours I've seen this morning already:

- McGeouch to Coventry on loan
- Ledley to Palace, £800k bid accepted
- Griffiths to Celtic, £1m bid accepted
- Olly Norwood from Huddersfield to Celtic on loan
- Amido to Birmingham on loan
- Ambrose to be at Fulham this afternoon for a medical

Looks like this could be a long day and night for us Tims!

Agree0 Disagree0

I will be gutted if the big man leaves he's had a cracking season iv always had a soft spot for him even although he could be a bomb scare at times!ed is this likely to happen and what money are we talking? I'd be looking for 5m.

Take Ambrose. He is a flipping liability.

Agree0 Disagree0

What's with the efe rumours? Agree with most that at times his defending is heart in the mouth stuff, but for once we have a settled defensive pair, unbeaten run, records being broke all over the place! Best thing to do is sell the defence? What is this madness?

Agree0 Disagree0

Delbhoy1888? Efe has done a good job at times but do u remember his performance against Juventus, our defence seams good because who are we actually playing? Nobody's decent teams will rip us apart . How's the hair hairdressers going?
Bobo2009

Agree0 Disagree0

@bobo2009 never claimed he was best but for once the defence is settled! Why upset the applecart while we are on such a good run! Do you know something we all don't? What fee are we talking? And just out of curiosity who would you play there once he goes? Hairdressers? Lost me there too

Agree0 Disagree0

Anyone who doesn't think big Efe has had a brilliant season so far are deluded. Him and Van Dikj compliment each other brilliantly and imo the big doesn't get the credit he's deserves sometimes. as for last season against Juve Lennon should never have played him in the first place

Agree0 Disagree0

No surprises here. When will we fans wake up. Celtic is a business, we fans are used as collateral simply as a source of income. The final product for a fan is beautiful football the final product for an enterprise is making money. A corporation or company has no soul. Business is business. We are not a football club, we are a Football business and its business is making money! sopotcelt.

Agree0 Disagree0

@kinghenrik spot on! As I said he has his moments but this season he has looked more composed next to big Virgil! It wouldn't be fair on Virgil to have to build up a rapour at this point in the season with another defender and efe seems to be enjoying his football now! Just look at his goal celebrations . If efe goes and Virgils performances slip, what next? Is he a poor defender? Will the fans be on his back? Why try fix or change something that's not broke! A don't see a John terry waiting to sign for us!

Agree0 Disagree0

Delbhoy1888, Am not saying efe hasn't did a job for us recently but he has moments in games when u think wtf are u doing and against hibs at weekend it looked like Lennon had had enough, he spent most of the game shouting at him . In big cl games he is too much of a risk . The fee I have been told will be in the 2mil mark and Cedric Mongongu will be brought in to replace him.
Bobo2009

Agree0 Disagree0

The discussions are academic boys. Virgil will be off after the CL qualifiers in any case. Sopotcelt.

@ sopotcelt your probably rite. The way the board sell anything of value wouldn't surprise me anymore! Just hope they have quality replacements in mind or we are in for a long summer and season ahead

Bid for griffiths accepted and he's at parkhead now so I really hope the fans who don't want him signing at least show the lad the support any player who pulls on the hoops deserves

GunnieBhoy

Believable17 Unbelievable2

I'll get behind any player who understands what it means to pull on the hoops. Griffiths is a racist, shoplifter that can't look after his own family! I'm pretty sure that's NOT the celtic way. I'm 100% against this. It shows a disregard for everything we stand for and lack of respect to the fans and previous Celtic players.

So we've accepted 700k for ledley from crystal palace. Better than nothing but I thought a million would be the fee.

Believable5 Unbelievable2

Not a major loss in my opinion I was never a fan but good luck to him johanssen is a bettter player and a far more creative one at that just wait and see hail hail

Agree2 Disagree2

Cheers for the games Joe, when you were great, it really made a difference.
I hope it works out for you at Crystal Palace.

Agree1 Disagree0

Rarely turned up, no loss at all

Iain

Agree0 Disagree0

If he goes best of luck to him, been a half decent player 4 Celtic.

Agree0 Disagree0

Be surprised if Ledley agrees and doesn't just wait til the summer for a better offer. Palace will more than likely be in the Championship next season.

Agree0 Disagree1

I may be in the minority but I'm not happy about losing Joe!

I'm not saying pay him more wages, it's just from midfield we'll have lost Wanyama and Ledley in a matter of months. In the Champions League, they were 2 huge players for us and its not going to be easy to replace (as already proven with Wanyama and Hopper).

Not seen anywhere enough of the Norweign to be content he's a replacement.

Agree1 Disagree1

Thanks for the memory Joe, can't say he will be a major loss, good player when he turned up. Glad we'll be getting some money at least. Another decent player taking the buck to fade in to oblivion, still good luck to him

Agree0 Disagree0

What a disaster, without doubt the most composed footballer at Celtic Park and he had a good eye for goal too. At worst case he should have been signed up, given what he wanted and flogged for a fee in the summer. But why Crystal Palace Joe, you are better than that, a team that will habitually battle relegation!

Maybe the Celtic PLC boards lack of ambition is effecting players.

Best of luck to you but remember you could have been great at Celtic Park, the team should be being built around you for years to come.

Stuff him, he clearly jumps ship under freedom of contract when he wants anyway. A couple of old firm (rip) goals and a couple of decent games in 4 years. No great loss and not even a regular starter anyway. Shows him ambition with 3 or 4 months in the EPL then another stint in the championship. We have plenty in midfield without him so no real loss.

Talking too a few guys who where at the game last night missed it last night due to no being too well they said that clown griffiths was at the game and some Danish player no name for him though said he was a striker don't know how reliable the second one is

Believable3 Unbelievable5

If it's Andreas Cornelius, there's talk of Copenhagen re-signing him for £5 million would celtic pay that for a striker who has done nothing all season yet been unwilling to pay £1 million for griffths who has been scoring all season?

John

Agree0 Disagree0

The way they were talking he's from the Danish league don't know much about that league

Agree0 Disagree0

Apparently Cardiff are willing to take a 5 million pound hit on the player, they paid 8.5 so I'm guessing 3.5/4 would do it
