Hi guys,
Two mates down in Liverpool seem to think we have been enquiring into the possibility of taking Victor Anichebe on loan?
Anyone else heard anything about him?
Think he'd be great!?
Jon bhoy {Ed007's Note - A couple of the Eds have great contacts in Liverpool, the city and with both teams, none of them have heard anything.}

As an Everton fan i'd just like to say he is terrible, he's goal scoring record for a striker is pi55 poor !

Agree0 Disagree0

It's the spl tho :) im sure even hesky would score 40 a seasons up here

Agree0 Disagree0

Could be what we need. we have the goal scores already, need a big forward who can batter into defences.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why not get a striker that batters both goals and defenders

Newcastle in for Brown in January for 1.5M. BBC Transfer gossip. I hope he goes - hes never fulfilled his potential. Not good enough and probably wants away.

Believable19 Unbelievable13

Believe me when I say 100% Newcastle have no interest in Brown. None what so ever.
His agent is putting out these stories!

Agree0 Disagree0

I totally disagree, we have missed Scott Brown in our midfield over the past few weeks, gives us a bit of drive and bite that others dont.

Also i dont know where sky are getting this story that he can talk to any club from tommorrow. UEFA rules clearly state its 6 months from expiry of the contract, in Brown case(as with almost all players) this is 30th June - someone cant count! {Ed007's Note - I spoke to Ed002 about this the other day. She is an expert in stuff like that, in England and Wales it is the FA's rule that contracts either expire on 31st December or the 30th June, (apart from young players, and loans) she would imagine it is the same in the SPL. Every source and database we use has his contract expiry as 30th June 2012. Nobody I have spoke to has ever heard of a contract ending on any other date apart from those two. It seems very strange if it is true.}

Agree0 Disagree0

It makes me laugh when i read drivel like this? brown is the only player we have that fights for the pride of wearing the celts shirt! i for one would give him what he wants to stay! HH

Agree0 Disagree0

Playing for Newcastle can only help Scotland as a nation we need a many of our brightest players to leave spl and go south or elsewhere ... only due to the sheer fact that even with our league star players this league is so far gone i don't think it will ever get better ... so if Scotland as a nation wish to continue on strongly we must sell our best young Scots

Agree0 Disagree0

Scott Brown under no circumstances wants to leave Celtic, the only way that will happen is if the club force him out the door which is becoming more and more apparent.

Agree0 Disagree0

Utter tosh sitting on the bench does no one any good. We neeed to keep our young players. And we need to get reserve football going again. Other wise the young players fall into a big hole when they turn 19

David

Agree0 Disagree0

Our young players are all growing up and falling in to the black hole that is the SPL.. sure teams outside old firm will beat CFC and RFC from time to time but the standrard of players is just appauling i mean look at gary harkins of killie ... he really shouldnt be playing football he looks like he runs a chippy ... Scott Brown shouyld be grateful of his time with Celtic and grateful that someone like newcastle has come in for him ....

Agree0 Disagree0

Broonie is under-rated.He would do a job in the EPL as he rarely has a bad game in a Scotland shirt and that proves he is international class. Its time he was shown some respect as he is our club captain when all is said and done.

Agree0 Disagree0

We struggled for a bit without him but we are stronger now without him. Other players are taking on the responsibility and I wouldn't mind if he stayed or went. We could get 1.5m then go and bring in someone who is more level headed.

Agree0 Disagree0

I personally think that if brown was.in the team when we were dropping those points that we wouldn't have dropped as many. My problem now though is where do you play him? He was shunted out to the right because kayal and ki were preferred central, we now have Wanyamma keeping ki out so no room there, and forrest has grabbed the right mid slot and is arguably our best player this year. Can't see him being a squad player so maybe he sees whats happening himself and is angling for a move...Markiebhoy.

Hi Ed

We signed Scott Brown during the season and the way I believe this is he was still a Hibs player when we bought his contract (not a transfer) and we loaded him back to Hibs that is why this contract only starts from being of June .Then it was a kind of a loan deal .

PS that was the way I took it not FACT

Keep up the good work all yous ED's

TamBhoy1974 {Ed007's Note - I thought he had only agreed to sign for CFC the week before he scored against us (his last game for Hibs). If it is true it is the first and only time any of us Eds have heard of a contract running out on that date. The FA are very strict about it in fact but I have read through the SPL rulebook but it isn't 100% clear.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Utter p!sh on here. Celtic have missed Brown dearly. The lad also wants to stay. Willie McKay is just up to typical tricks.

Agree0 Disagree0

To the last poster ... unless you noticed this conversation as rare as they are was about football a decent footballing conversation .. your remarks are unwelcome
