Glad to see young roberts getting a start.

Is it? Why is an 18 month loan deal any better in the long term he's still not our player and unless he single handedly gets us into the champions league next year he will never make us any money.

It's not all about making us money.

That aside, 18 months isn't bad commitment. Wasn't Wanyama only at Celtic for 24 months?

Haha if this kid does half of what big vic did I'd be happy, but to say it's not all about money is absurd how much money did we make off wanyama, something like 8 mill profit and he basically won us that game against barca. Money is what makes the world go round and especially the football world.

Why is James Forrest being allowed anywhere near this team?

Ok well you must love what we are doing with the balance sheet.

And what VW made us is irrelevant, my point was about 18/ 24 months.

By your rationale we should have cashed in on Larsson after his first season. I'm sure we could have doubled our money easily at that point and as you say, money makes the world go round.

Not what I'm saying at all I believe we should keep all our best assets however players like larsson who are that loyal don't really exist anymore wanyama publicly saw us as a stepping stone as did vvd so if we are moving players on we should aim to make profit yes.

Ah, the classic one rule for X, another for Larsson.

I'll put this in the "Owen Coyle rejected us but Larsson didn't because (insert excuse/ reason) ! " file.

Larsson had a loyalty bonus of over a million pounds to see out his contracts. Not saying larsson wanted to leave but getting a million to stay where you are make it an easier decision.

Cummings &McGinn coming in is the rumours going around the green end of Edinburgh this week. With Hibs wanting Henderson for one more season and Allan depending on game time with us. Prob nonsense but that's the rumours from both Hibs and Celtic fans.

To be fair they've both kept improving because a year ago I wouldn't have been interested! I also think long term MgGinn will be better in the 2 man midfield (sitting) he plays more wide left for Hibs. I think Henderson would maybe benefit from another year especially if they get promoted- he's another who's improved with playing more games! I'd also prefer Stokes to stay, he's done nothing since he went there, well they've almost fell apart! Our squad is huge though and guys like Darnell Fisher could also be used in part exchange because I don't think he's going to be quite good enough from what I've seen! He doesn't look better than Janko, they both look better going forward. Anyway I'd be interested in MgGinn, Cummings is another who looks more suited to a 2 up front, I've not seen much of him though! I just hope we can get a club to take guys like Cole, Commons, Stokes and another few because the whole thing needs shook up! If we could get a few quid for Effy, Izzy, Forrest as well that would free up more wages!

We need to start getting shot of players before adding anymore imo.
I would gladly like to see the back of Ambrose, Mulgrew, Izaguirre, Lustig, Johansen, Boerrigter, Forrest, McGregor, Commons, Stokes, Ciftci, Cole, Scepovic.

Would like to see the squad come the summer looking abit like this.

GK-Gordon, Bailly, Fasan
RB-Janko, Fisher
LB-Tierney, NEW
CB-Sviatchenko, NEW, Simunovic, Boyata, O'Connell
CM-Brown, Bitton, NEW, Armstrong, Ajer
AMC-Rogic, Allan
AMRL-Roberts, NEW, Christie, GMS, Nesbitt
ST-Griffiths, NEW, Richards

Of the players we have been linked over the last few months these would be the guys I would go for
Henry, Pantic, Delaney, Elyounoussi, Thy

Would bring a needed freshness to the squad imo.

New manager got to be first on the agenda and get rid of the dross that's there!

Roberts is tipped to blow the EPL away and will undoubtedly storm the SPFL. We would never keep a player like him more than 18-24 months even if we did have the millions to throw at him.
