Sadly after giving Sammi the new contract over the closed season I have an awful feeling we have created another Bobo situation.
As Ed007 says he is looking for a loyalty bonus thus making any sale drastically reduced.
I even think forcing him onto the bench or into the reserves won't work as he is now reportedly our highest paid player.
Just makes you wonder who is making these calls and decides it's good business.

As he never requested a transfer Samaras is due a 'loyalty bonus' as is any player who doesn't ask to leave (Fabregas waived this at Arsenal to push through his move to Barcelona). Samaras was willing to leave but Lawwell tried to renegotiate the bonus and Samaras wasn't having it, so he stayed.}

we should go for Matteo Ferrari hes free and we could try and get him in till January like kapo last year.

Id rather have my granny in before Samaras. the guy is a waste of space. Give O'Connor a shot. Big strong goal scorer who has scored more goals this early in the season than Samantha has over the last two seasons.

why would we be interested in a player in January who is up on drug possession charges on the 25th of January good player would do a job but risky guy to sign
Cant see it in January, maybe on a free in the summer if his case goes well.
Why would we sign a guy with three O's three R's and two N's in his name? Less Garry O'Connor more (after the court case) of Carry O'Gonner :)
Surely we can sign him on a contract with a clause in it if the case goes against him?
He'll get off if Lenny's case is anything to go by.
In the Sun today , he is not up in court till February.
So lets put an end to all this ludicrous speculation.
I would not want this player in a gift, the talk around the area he from is that he is trouble.
