Maccabi Petah Tikva and Celtic agree on the transfer of Omer Damari

Believable30 Unbelievable6

This is fresh from the Israeli press - translated by Goole Translate
If you do not register last-minute twist, Omer Damari play Celtic next season. After negotiations lasting several weeks, the parties reached an understanding that the Maccabi Petah Tikva will receive two million pounds (2.2 million euros) for the player card 70% of Damari, approximately 30% will be added in a future sale of the striker.

Omer Damari. 520 thousand pounds in season, if he gets his work permit (photo: Sefi Magriso)

However, several sections remain open, significant that the work permit of Damari. Pioneer has not registered enough appearances to qualify, so Celtic will have to get special permission from the Scottish Association. In addition, Petah Tikva requires that if Damari will play in Israel, City team uniforms. Damari, Petach Tikva earned less than 100 thousand dollars net season, Celtic will earn 520 in season, not including bonuses.

"This is one of the largest transfers in the history of Israeli soccer, " he said yesterday the President of Petah Tikva, Amos Luzon, "and the club in terms of the deal is unprecedented. I'm happy, but know you can accept the inevitable only when everything is signed."

Lennon after Knowledge Musona Report bellow
A potential tug of war for the services of Knowledge Musona emerged late on Wednesday after the Scottish club Glasgow Celtic sent a letter expressing interest in the player.

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has written to Kaizer Motaung to announce his intention to possibly sign the league s leading goal scorer, who has been linked in recent weeks with the German club Hoffenheim
Have you heard anything on this Ed? Could be another potential gem unearthed {Ed007's Note - I have heard the rumour but it is all a bit vague IMO. Sent them a letter, in the day of fax and e-mail?}

Believable18 Unbelievable2

Thought the same Ed how bloody long would it take for a letter to get to Africa when you can send an email in seconds Oh well guess we will be linked with every man and his dog till the window closes Cheers Ed {Ed007's Note - www.kickoff.com/news/22664/kaizer-chiefs-striker-knowledge-musona-wanted-by-glasgow-celtic.php

"The Glasgow club, who will pay UEFA Champions League football again this coming season, have already announced the signing of Kenyan international Victor Wanyama, who was previously at Germinal Beerschot in Belgium."

Says it all really, doesn't it?}

Gary

Believable4 Unbelievable38

If we sell him for 6 million then were idiots Hes worth alot more Id say at least 10 mil {Ed007's Note - I wrote an article touching on such matters in the CFC News section titled "Where do we go from here?}

Agree0 Disagree0

No way is o shea worth a swap for izzy. oshea plus 5.million maybe.

Agree0 Disagree0

Izzy has already stated that he is staying this season

"No way is o shea worth a swap for izzy. oshea plus 5.million maybe."
Wow your dilusional, he's one of the most versatile players in uk and proven elsewhere other than spl.

Agree0 Disagree0

Izzys had 1 good season , and struggled the last 5 or 6 games, john oshea is proven at both club and international level, and is also on 40 grand a week , if yous think its gony happen then keep takin the blues

I heard a rumour that Celtic are going to try and tempt AC Milan's slovenian youth starlet Uros Palibrk for a very cheap £100k

Believable9 Unbelievable26

We really need players who can command a place in the first team right away. I suspect he'd be another one who'll disappear into the reserves for a few years (see the Twardzik brothers as prime examples) and barely see the light of day that is the first team.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with your principle...however, it's the market we're in unfortunately. We need instant impacts but we do also need to look to the future, particularly with the UEFA registration limitations (years trained by club, etc)

celtic supposly looking at the possibility of trying to get jerry bengston in for about 500k

Believable8 Unbelievable22

Bengtson would be a great acquisition as I have mentioned on here several times over the last few weeks.

I had the clubs interest confirmed (off the record) just the other day.
So now his GC activites are completed we may see him in the coming weeks as he has yet to have a real break due to this.

Let hope so

HH
/BB

Agree0 Disagree0

If he's half as good as his fellow Honduran, Emilio, then we're in for a treat.

Agree0 Disagree0

Seen a couple of vids and pics of him. He's not a big bully like Hartson he's got more of a lean, gangly build like Jellyfish. But an aerial threat is what we need so he doesn't need to be able to stampede through centre halves. Good scoring record also. GBNL.
Kevbhoy {Ed007's Note - Evening Kev, you had a good day?}

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah I'm good Ed. Hearing too many bloody names and they all seem to be strikers. We could use another striker but we already have goals in the team so let' prioritise, a keeper and a centre half first and foremost.

Strong rumours that Kayal will be going out the door, his wage demands are if what i am led to beleave are 30k a week and we are not willing to meet his demands. Hope this is not the case but from a source inside who told me about the 2 Keanes and a few others.

If we do lose Kayal we are looking at the boy S . Coleman from Everton

Believable4 Unbelievable39

Seamus coleman? are you having a laugh?? he is one of the top young players in the uk, there is no way he will be coming to celtic. Transfer fee and wages are far to high for us

Agree0 Disagree0

Kayal is a center mid, and coleman plays down the left, if your going to make stuff up at least do some research.

Agree0 Disagree0

Celtic have a long term contract with this guy and although players have a greater degree of power it doesnt get away from the fact that he cant just come up with a number and expect to get it.Ive been involved in running a professional club and this is not how it works.

Agree0 Disagree0

S. cloeman is a rb/rm so why would we buy him to replace kayal who is a holding midfielder

Agree0 Disagree0

No one is bigger than the club and Celtic have a wage structure in place. So Kayal wants 30k p/w and the club captain earns less Not good for dressing room morale and if we are to believe Lennon he will make sure we only get the going rate. Sunderland are willing to pay 13m for a player with little experience so let clubs start the bidding at that for a full international. If his heart is not with Celtic I don't want him there

Agree0 Disagree0

Kayal is worth double that a week. He's THAT valuable to our team. To let him go would be bloody madness.

Agree0 Disagree0

What a load off bulls**t mate, kayal loves playing with us he will be offered just over double what he gets just now and he will take it, u can see the connection between kayal and lennon, ?Ǭ20k a say on a 5 year deal.

Agree0 Disagree0

He may well be worth double that in the epl but not the spl. if a club offers 10m+ for him the mr lawell will have to seriously consider it. i think he's a great player and great for the team but business is business in the eyes of the board

Agree0 Disagree0

The 1st comment, Coleman is actually a RB recently converted to a RM, you do your research

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha Coleman u must be on the glue ya nut Kayal is believing all the hype surrounding himself and wants a wage to match. Clubs from the epl will only go as high as 6-7m for him

Agree0 Disagree0

Here a never said to replace Kayal a siad it is if Kayal goes can you lot not read, think you will find he is in his last year of contract, plus he only cost everton less than half a million. why would we not need a rm, we have brown, Ki and Leadly for the middle without the new guy, so think you will find if Kayal Goes we will not need another one to replace him. think you will find clubs will not bid 7 mil for a guy of coleman in his last year of contract.

Celtic to sign boothroyd on Friday.

Believable38 Unbelievable17

He would be a gd singin and is he going to get number 7 do u think ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont think he is coming to celtic. most likely be going to qpr or everton

Agree0 Disagree0

He was meant to be signing last friday aswell. We need a box striker. And box defenders

Agree0 Disagree0

How many times do i need to see a "boothroyd will sign" bla bla story, can we get some facts gents please.

Agree0 Disagree0

No one should wear the number 7 unless they've got class

Agree0 Disagree0

Omar Damari is meant to be close to signing so i doubt bothroyd is even on celtic's radar anymore

Agree0 Disagree0

Bothroyds got class but a dno if he will come or not {Ed007's Note - I think Damari could be the next player in, CFC are reported to be in talks with Maccabi Petah Tikva representatives today}

Agree0 Disagree0

No he aint we simply cant compete with premiership wages -fact im afraid :(
