CELTICNEWS ,
The club have been keeping tabs on gary oconnor , seemingly they have been waiting to see how his court case went.
Expect a move in january for the 28 year old who only on a one year contract at hibernian.AS

Believable10 Unbelievable2

Dont see why not.
10 goals this season for a very poor Hibs team.
Before anyone starts about his chequered private life, there's been plenty before who've worn the hoops

Agree0 Disagree0

Hibs will squeeze every penny they can in jan....what risk was there if he was given some short contract when he was free?...if convicted contract ends...

!!! Commons Latest!!

This is true.
straight from Mark Wilson.

Kris Commons was the but of a joke made by some of the celtic coaching staff.
at first this all went down well with everyone havin a laugh but NL kept the joke going and by getting personal, much to the annoyance of Commons.
anyway......
the joke was about Commons carrying a few extra pounds, and when the joke was carried on by NL, Commons tried to turn the joke around and said something to NL that made him go mad.

Mark told me none of the playing staff no exactly what was said but he did say it was something about Ireland, and that NL was in a rage?

This is all FACT as i have known Mark for years and i dont see him telling any porkies to me.

Liam cfc! {Ed007's Note - Absolute nonsense.}

Believable12 Unbelievable23

Commons has had a viral infection and a groin strain, he only started light training today

Agree0 Disagree0

This is true too!

I have personally known Craig White even b4 I was born he was always like the father I never had, anyway he told me rangers are gettin a bill of 40 million from the tax man, he also is goin to sell jelly fish to Scunthorpe utd for a fee of around 60 million pounds.

Point is aye this could be all true but posting it on a site like this saying 'I have known him for Years' is just the same as my story about... All BS :)

Come on you bhoys in green !
3-1 Celtic tonight (thoughts ed?)
Lenny. {Ed007's Note - I'd be absolutely delighted with that, any win will do.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed you say the original post is nonsense you are probably right but according to bbc teletext commons is fit but will not feature where there's smoke there's fire {Ed007's Note - There has obviously been a fall out but nothing like what is said above.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont you think the management should make a statement on this as all the fans are wondering why one of our most creative players is not being played is it down to him being a Knob or is it personal between him and lenny this type of crap does nothing for team spirit i remember the same thing happening with bobo and riorden with strachan {Ed007's Note - How did the Balde and Riordan situations affect team spirit? I would much rather this kind of thing was kept in-house. There is no need to air your dirty laundry in public.}

Agree0 Disagree0

You have to ask yourself one question Ed by omitting commons from the team is NL putting his personal feeling above whats good for the team or is his decision to drop him done with the best interest of the team thats two questions lol {Ed007's Note - Have you seen the size of Commons? It doesn't matter the reason that NL isn't selecting him, he is the manager and it is his decision to make, for what ever reason.}

Agree0 Disagree0

To be fair guys, couldn't an element of the Commons situation be that Commons is off form and Ledley is on form? I know there's almost certainly more to it than that, but everyone seems to be overlooking the obvious explanation.

Lenny's tried playing Commons on the right several times and it doesn't work; you either play him left wing (or MAYBE number 10) or you don't play him. As for Ledley, he's normally a creative/goalscoring threat when you play him on the left, but tends to be anonymous if play him centre mid. So they can't really be in the same team together.

Just a thought...

The worst post I have seen on this site and there has been a few bad ones. There is one thing im sure of, you are not a friend of any player at the club, infact you probably have no friends at all and if you do i pray they are not as deluded as you!

What do you think sameras/stokes or bangura to psartner hooper? surely we wont go with one up front for a home tie a good win here will lift the spirits !

I think we can do it celtic to win 2-o {Ed007's Note - I'd go with Stokes and then bring Bangura on. NL could go with Samaras though.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Many thanks Ed. I'll be ready, C'mon the Hoops

Agree0 Disagree0

Why is it not shown in Ireland? Setanta showing it as well?...some balls that is. {Ed007's Note - Maybe to do with licencing.....}

Agree0 Disagree0

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty certain Setanta are showing the game in Ireland.

alrite ed how u?
how do u think 2mora will pan out
u think he will go way loovens and
maj or play mulgrew next tae maj
way wilson left back and either cha
or matthews right back

viewparkbhoy {Ed007's Note - Hi VPB, with what Mjallby has said I think it will be Loovens/Majstorovic in the middle with Mulgrew at LB.}

Believable0 Unbelievable2

I think he'll play loovens and wanyama in the middle with mulgrew at lb.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its a bad day when we re calling for mulgrew at centere half,the guys no better than a poor left back

Agree0 Disagree0

I've got to disagree with the last post, Mulgrew's not a great left back but for me he's always done a great job at centre-half. He might not always get it right the first time, but then that's inevitable when you're defending - the question is how you recover and get back in to stop the attacker, and Mulgrew does that brilliantly. He knows when and how to put his foot in - even from behind, which is a difficult skill - he wins the ball in the air, he knows when to play for safety and when to be positive/try to lead a counter attack.

The only issue I have with him is he sometimes tries to play an over-complicated pass; but even then, if he's practicing it and getting better at it, it could add another string to the team's bow having someone at the back capable of playing a good long ball.

To be honest, I really don't see how any Celtic fan can fault Mulgrew since he's come back - last season the defence seemed quite fragile to me (remember Caley at home, 2-2?) until he moved into centre back; correct me if I'm wrong, but in all our "dodgy"/lost games this season Mulgrew has either been off the pitch or not at centre back.

I see CW has been speaking to the
Telegraph about the possibility of
leaving the SPL and possible Administration...

Believable6 Unbelievable2

Craig Whyte planting the idea early into the Gers support so that it is not a shock when it actually happens.

Roll on November.

Agree0 Disagree0

The really interesting part of that interview report was more the fact that he floated the idea of letting the gers go under and fielding two teams...one in Scotland and the other in England....And as the only "secured" creditor Rangers FC has one the the "assets" he could move geographically is the brand Rangers FC.

i think after looking at our performances over the past two months it is time for Lennon to go, he just does not have what it takes. We could then bring in Steven Pressley or martin o'neil. The players also need to take some of the blame and kayal is no longer interested {Ed007's Note - Pressley??? No thanks. Kayal isn't that far away from signing his new contract after meetings last week so I doubt he would sign that if he isn't interested.}

Believable3 Unbelievable16

Not trying to be harsh mate, but I can't really agree with anything you're saying there. Although it's definitely worrying how Lennon keeps making strange decisions, I don't think that's reason enough to call for his head a quarter of the way into his second full season. It would be a bizarre time to sack him, especially considering the squad still seem to be behind him and his replacement wouldn't be able to bring any players in to suit his system; even if you do it in January, it probably wouldn't bring us any closer to the title seeing as the players would need time to adapt to that system. At least let's see how this season goes, please stop with all the sacking talk - it doesn't help anyone.

As for the Pressley thing, are you just basing that on the result the other night? Apologies if not, but other than that I don't see what else it could be.

I disagree most with your Kayal point - I don't think he's quite recaptured the best of last season's form, but he's playing pretty well and his committment has appeared fantastic to me when he's been wearing the armband recently (in fact, although I haven't really got anything against Broony, I'd love to see Lennon try to make Kayal full-time captain; but that's another debate). Like Ed says, surely the contract talks wouldn't be going anywhere if he wasn't interested.

Glenn

Agree0 Disagree0

I think you should just calm down a bit mate. People are going mental at a freak home loss to St.Johnstone and a second half collapse to rangers.

We know our defense is not the best but I'm sure Lenny is working on this and once he has Mulgrew, Mark Wilson, Rogne etc back fit this will be resolved.

As I said no need to panic, if situation still the same at x-mas then is the time to start worrying!

Davie

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree sacking Lennon now would achieve nothing and in my opinion Kayal is relishing the armband and makes an impact most games and will improve.
We are hurting and frustrated at present and Rangers going 7pts clear this early will cause some to react, but we need to persevere at least until January and hope lessons are learned and players take up the challenge of playing for The Hoops when the going get's tough.
