I'm not a Man Utd. fan but I admire their general approach to signing players over the last few years. They go in for their targets as soon as the season is over, which means that ALL players start pre-season together. Why do other clubs do it any differently? Surely this makes great sense for all concerned. {Ed007's Note - I doubt Man Utds transfer activity is over yet.}

Believable2 Unbelievable5

They may not have finished this summer Edd but they usually have the business done well in advance. None of this hanging around at the last minute stuff.

Hi ed , the rumour hearing tonight is that we are going to sign shane long for 5.5m that will be the most we have payed for a player since lennon this is to be funded by the sale of izzy to liverpool for about 9m don't know how true it is but this is a rumour site lol just what I'm hearing

Stan {Ed007's Note - The last reports were that Reading had put a £10 million price tag on Shane Long, that is why EPL teams have cooled their interest at present. West Ham bid £5 million and £3 million in add ons but Reading have said the minimum first payment will need to be £7 million plus add ons.}

Beat a s**tey hibs team who prob fight relegation beaten bye a wolves team who just missed reparation and you, s are world beater now you , s are no any better skint. {Ed007's Note - Without sounding cheeky, your spelling is abysmal. I don't usually comment as it can put people of posting, but do you even know what reparation is?}

Believable5 Unbelievable12

Ed, there were all those war criimes that wolves committed that they had to pay for during WW2.

Evinguu

oh dammit wait that was the nazis , my bad {Ed007's Note - I know, unbelievable Evinguu, that is what I'm up against at times.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Beaten by several sh**t german teams , drew with an average hearts team . beat off a equally crap malmo team , loosing all ur targets to championship teams lol .
daviebhoy08

Agree0 Disagree0

No players from the hibs game started against wolves a few trialists and game time for brown , mulgrew , dan was all lennon used this friendly for . Against malmo it shows why you need to be match fit . ASWEDE

Agree0 Disagree0

We bit of education for the original poster

A skint club let's see,

An Irish billionaire making sure Celtics debt, which isnt much, is kept under control no issues, alot of money splash last season to rebuild, and this window we spent just under 300k less than rangers on one player

Now Whyte yes has money BUT tied up in assists which means he has not alot in his bank account but has plenty of small business but due to a partner of his who was interested in rangers (forgot his name), the stock Market are keeping a very close eye on rangers who will float money over there companies, and don't forget the tax man, ironic that the queen my not do favours for rangers lol

Please don't post sh*t when your own team isn't doing to well

Cumby Bhoy

My heart goes out to you ed takes a brave person to trawl through the posts i can only imagine you get through this site hats off to ya

Only recently started posting but always looked in for a giggle for a long time now, always noticed more often than not and this is on other forums and sites too, maybe its me but do most of the responses from gers fans seem to be quite agrressive not all of course folk like tony and others whos name evade me on here ( sorry to all the many gers fans i cant name) are rather witty and friendly about it all, but a majority do seem to have a bit of an aggressive tone to the wording. I know we cant be all angels but come on guys.

i do feel sorry for you at times ed lol, but thanks for keeping us entertained

Evinguu {Ed007's Note - It is waters off a ducks back to me Evinguu, I have a very thick skin. I welcome Rangers fans on here no problem and all the regulars have discussed some touchy subjects in an adult and friendly manner that you struggle to get anywhere else. Why some Rangers fans still waste their time trying to post any sectarian remarks is beyond me, you will struggle to find any that have been posted so why even try? It can be like a trip down memory lane at times though, as I get called things that I haven't been called for 20 years at least, which shows the intelligence level of the people trying to post it. I'm glad you enjoy the site though.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Andrew Ellis that's his name lol

Ed to your post earlier don't knw were the sun went still got my milk bottle Scottish tan lol, supposed to be back tomorrow though

Just like most of you "University" educated gers fans you got your word wrong or did you? Reparation -making right a wrong - maybe you should apologise to the people of manchester for all your hooligan fans ILWT

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed for the reasons you just stated are why i decided to comment here compared to other places, although heated at times the debates ive seen on here are well mannered ( mostly) and dont swerve off on a nasty tangent thanks to well informed ed's like yourself. Eff knows where these knuckledraggers get their crap from and think its ok to do so guess you have to be one to undertand, wee message to anyone of this affliction, please just give it a rest and hud yer bloody wheesht

Right im startin to sound erse lickin ed here lol

Evinguu {Ed007's Note - Thanks mate.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers have won 1 game in europe in 22 games so go back to your own page pal

Agree0 Disagree0

We lost at home to Wolves in a friendly match. Wolves are just about to begin their 3rd successive season in the EPL and have spent £45million in the past 2 years.

Not one single player of ours started tonight that started in our 2-0 victory at Easter Road. Our line up against Wolves consisted of 2 regulars(Brown & Majstorovic), 2 trialists(Pletikosa & MPhela), 2 signings making their Celtic Park debut(Matthews & Wanyama), our 3rd choice right back(Cha), our 2nd choice left back(Mulgrew), 2nd choice right midfielder(Forrest), 2nd choice left midfielder(Maloney) and our 4th choice striker(Murphy)

You just lost at Ibrox 1 night ago in an actual competitive european qualifier against Malmo FF, the 8th placed team in the Swedish league, and as for your own pre-season well you lost 1-0 to Sportfreunde Lotte and lost 3-0 to Bundesliga 2 side VFL Bochum. All with your strongest team that is now ever failing under Paul Le Guen Mark 2, enjoy your season Bears, I know I will.

Agree0 Disagree0

What is this idiot on about. What has Super Ally done lost In Germany drew against Hearts and had Malmo(WHO) show them how to play. Almost forgot you lot BOOING your players off the park after only 2 competitive matches. What is that going to do for your players and manager. Super Ally gone by xmas. I hear they are looking for a new captain on Question of Sport maybe he will jump ship and go back to the beeb.

Agree0 Disagree0

Look on the bright side...least Fat Sally will be back on Question of Sport for the christmas special lol

Ed - I think you possibly meant 'put off posting'. School boy error. {Ed007's Note - lol oops! at least it made sense though!}

Ivor, concentrate on your own team. {Ed007's Note - Do you know what trolling is? It is trying to post the same thing over and over again, it is childish and ultimately pathetic, stop it.}

Believable1 Unbelievable3

Ed , what you talking about saying i'm posting same thing over and over again? {Ed007's Note - I see the IP address of every post. So if you post the same thing over and over again, I know it is you, it is called trolling, and I can trace any IP number and turn on your webcam as well ;-)

I posted earlier that bellamy was in Glasgow and dont think anyone believed me. Its true he is here. Hail Hail {Ed007's Note - He was here last night supposedly to, why fly back to England or Wales just to fly back up again, there is no proof that he is in Glasgow.}

Believable3 Unbelievable12

I just saw your post earlier, but it doesnt make sense you seeing him in the afternoon, and my mate seeing him arrive again 45mins ago.
i dunno.....my mates usually pretty tight with rumours, think i'll discount this one this time

Agree0 Disagree0

I dunno what's goin on mate. He was in the airport this afternoon when i was seeing my sister off.

As if Bellamy would cum ta a mickey mouse taem and league {Ed007's Note - Ah, another foreign follower, welcome to the site, where in the world are you from?}

Thats funny i seem to remember bellamy loved playing for this "mickey mouse" tEAm in our league in 05. away back to your own site ya muppet

Agree0 Disagree0

Yea he loved you that much he had the chance to stay but soon bu55ered of just like Keane lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Just emailed one of my clients 'dahn saaf' and he says it is public knowledge down there that bellamy was in talks with mancini, in manchester....word is, the meeting took less than 20 minutes. this was at 4pm

Agree0 Disagree0

No no no no no, yer all wrong, bellemy in my house playing FIFA with me, drink pi a coladas, having a dirty kebab he just got a ticket for parking his plane in my street.

Believable5 Unbelievable15

Would love Cerny myself rekoned he's been good for years and would like to see him in a decent team i think hes done a great job at hamilton and is one of the main reasons they have done so well (last year excluded of course) Prone to the odd mistake (what keeper isnt) and maybe a tad shaky on corners at times but otherwise alll round good keeper surley worth a punt at the couple o hundered thousand he would prob cost
One rumour i hope is true

Text from my work colleague, Bellamy just arrived @ glasgow airport, 21:10.

taking it with a pinch of salt as he's one of them, but still think he could do a job for us. {Ed007's Note - I got a similar message on Twitter, but no one has a picture which is strange to me.}

Believable6 Unbelievable9

Exactly what i said to him....in this day and age with camera phones and all, and especially such a high profile sighting
he did say he couldnt get anywhere near him and that it was one of the cops who told him, place had a few photographers there apparently tho

Agree0 Disagree0

Could be true a flight did arrive from manchester at 21:00, but i wouldn't put money on it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Looks like my mate was bong on the money:)
i'd be delighted to have bellamy back, all this talk about too old/dodgy knee...he's still plying his trade in the EPL ffs, and just look at papa weir across the road, Bellamy would run riot against the very average opposition.....for the second time around

"wake me up when this is all over. Rangers are very confident of winning the tax case"

DazzBhoy

Believable8 Unbelievable5

And when did you become a financial expert? Cashing your giro?

{Ed007's Note - Do you really want me to explain about Rangers finances again, you got awfully upset the last time I done it. Maybe Michael Knighton will come across finally with the £15 -20 million "warchest" I told you about a few weeks ago ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

Hilarious that some wee guy on a rumours site knows the ins-and-outs of Rangers financial situation...

Nae Dough, 4 In A Row {Ed007's Note - I do though. Obviously you are aware of the situation as well with your ground breaking comment of "Nae Dough 4 In A Row" thus implying that you have accepted the fact that Rangers financial stability is still very much a questionable subject although you are looking at it positively and expect Rangers to win the league. If only more Rangers fans succumbed to such enlightenment. I am glad that you are facing the the financial problems within your club with such a positive slant, it shows that some Rangers fans can actually see the bigger picture.}

but what i am sure of is Mr Whyte is a lot smarter than you or me in a business sense so why dont we all just sit back and wait and see what happens with the HMRC.

Evening ther. IF c whyte/shooter etc has the money surely he'd a spent some to make sure getting into the champo league proper? not messing about for weeks and nobody coming in apart from a left back and a centre half(now)

I was walking down the high street today when the rain started to come down, every body who had not prepared for this type of weather was soon running for the door ways and bus shelters. To my astonishment I found myself standing right next to Craig Bellamy. I was like, "Whit" and then I realised, this is my time, here is my chance, and I can take this opportunity to ask Craig anything I want. I was that close to him I could almost feel his breath. With the rain teeming down I pluck up the courage to ask Mr Bellamy what ever single one of us has want to ask for a long, long time. I said. "Bellzers, do you mind if I call you Bellzer?" He looks at me, our eye now staring at one another as if we are in some sort of stand off. "Bellzer, if you could have a dinner party, with anyone either living or dead, who would it be and why? To my shock the Kent just tutts and walks off in the rain. Can't believe we will never find this out Bhoys. On a serious note, can we put the Bellamy to paradise to bed please? We are acting like the shame when they tried to capture Robbie Fowler each and every season up until last year... Let's move on. Hail Hail.

He also said that Darren O'Dea is close to going on loan with Norwich , Big Jos is also moving on with AIK the main team interested in Him. Rasmussen is also leaving with Mallorca extremely interested. Daryl Murphy will be sent out on loan this year but nobody wants him atm {Ed007's Note - Nottingham Forest are interested in Murphy.}

Also a quote from Houston saying that a move to Celtic was "nonsense". Happy to be proved wrong but please back up the stories.

I think our only striking option now is husseklep maybe do a rangers and test the water at 2 mil. I think we.re fine at the back. Mulgrew was excellent last nite. So just how much have celtic spent in this transfer market ? time to keep quiet me thinks, ssshhhhhhhhhh.

Believable8 Unbelievable17

Why spend money on players that are s**t for £500k when we got good players for free on bosmans, we will spend but wisely, not like Rankers who are desperate to sign anyone under £1m

Agree0 Disagree0

There is still 34 days of the transfer window left. plus unlike last year we have a settled squad now. so only a couple of additions needed. unlike rankers we have a big squad to pick from so why would lennon go out and spend millions especiallly when you look at the business done last year: £600,000 for emilio, £1.5 million for kayal you don't need to spend big to bring in class.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mate yr an absolue retard, even by website post I can almost hear the worry in your voice. You just worry about your own team coz its an absolute midden at the moment.

Drew

Agree0 Disagree0

Why spend money when you can get Kelvin Wilson for free? Looks like a superb addition to the already strong squad that we have

Agree0 Disagree0

Did we not pay 1m or so for the african boy or did i dream that.

Agree0 Disagree0

We dont need players in, unlike the shame.

We have a settled side with class players and only need fine tweaking ie GK and additional striker.

Where your mob need to sign at least three/four more players. Especially up front where Naismith has shown he cant be trusted to score regularly

DazzBhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said DazzBhoy last season was different as lennon had to completely overhaul the squad now its settled can see us strolling the league. and the shame scrapping for 2nd wae scotlands other shame.

Agree0 Disagree0

We're only making slight adjustments to a settled squaed. the orcs are thin on the ground so have to buy the doreens of this world, but then again they have to sell to buy. and with no CL money they cannot afford goodwillie. if mr whyte had cash then make a decent offer for their "no 1" target.

Agree0 Disagree0

The players we hav bought are better then the rankers retards

Agree0 Disagree0

This is prob the same bell end who's posted a rumour bout them lot bidding £4m for some Dutch defender.

Ha they can't afford Bad-Knob but at least they've got £4m to shore up the creakin defences over at Greyskull.

Shaunybhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Did this touch a nerve lads. Truth is Celtic need to sell to buy and whats teh point in keeping an unhappy player (Kayal). He wants out. Only 2 games in to our season and you are counting us out again. Did you not do that last year too ? and the year before ? As for this Wilson character, exactly how many games have you seen him play ? Looks amazing against Hibs. Brilliant. Same as big Majstorovic last year then. We are the champions.
Big John Knox

PS - Can someoone tell me what an orc is ? I see it on here all the time and was hoping maybe the ed could shed some light ? {Ed007's Note - I have already explained that it is a terminology used by JRR Tolkien to describe hideous warmongering humanoid like creatures and used to describe goblins in FRP games. And once again, I repeat CFC do not need to sell to buy, it seems the media were more concerned with Rangers finances than CFCs, surely the fact that a reporter was banned from Ibrox and Murray Park for reporting it should sound some alarm bells. No journalist is digging about in CFCs finances because they know there is no problem to discover, it comes from having a billionaire majority shareholder that underwrites the clubs debt, not just passes it from one company to another.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm a Rangers man and agree with yous. The guys making himself look like a fud. We paid £1.5m for Wallace and could have got him for peanuts in January. Ortiz for £500k I think he will be a good player for us and Goian for £800k who hasn't kicked a ball in two year don't know if any good and two twins (jedward) from Norway. So all in all I would say Celtic have done better in the transfer window money wise.

You make a fair point about Wilson he's only played one game you don't know what's going to happen over a course of a season, I haven't heard anything about kayal wanting out though.

Agree0 Disagree0

Knox get back under your rock. Kayal said at the end of the season he was happy to be at Paradise......It's paper talk that he wants to leave ya muppet.

Were not counting you's out, well not the smart ones amongst us. We respect your mob, we don't f*****g like you's but do respect you's.

As for Wilson......he's ten times the player Papac, Whittaker or Broadfoot will ever be

You's may be champions the now, but that cant last forever, and the Bookies are saying we will win the league You seen any broke bookies recently Knox ya p***k?

Can I ask what realistic targets that ppl would like to see? ie. keeper? McGregor for defence? do we need another midfielder? What sort of striker? personally im happy with Kelvin so far, but would like to see him and big Dan have a bit of competition Thomas Sorenson has not had a contract renewal? Why aren't we movong on these players before its too late

Believable2 Unbelievable4

I'd say we need another defender( mcgregor would be a great signing) and another striker preferably a quick one who can score goes ( bellamy, obefami martins). I Think we have enough midfielders

Agree0 Disagree0

We have a big squad already with a settled starting team plus subs. so I think we need to shift some dead wood before we buy. Still over a month to go, no need to panic buy like the shame. A half decent goalie (Forster was only half decent and has clean sheets record for a season) and a target man, who can hold the ball like big bad john and sutty did, and I'd be happy. Keep the faith Bhoys, Lurgan Lenny knows what to do.

Agree0 Disagree0

Darren mcgregor the st mirren guy who played for cowdenbeath? is he good?

Agree0 Disagree0

He's a great player... Im a season ticket holder at cowden and he was a big stand out. Wins everything in the air and on the ground. I also seen him play against the pars on monday nite and he was the best player on the park by a mile.

Agree0 Disagree0

NO MCGREGOR, HE WONT PLAY AND IT WOULD HINDER THE GUYS CAREER.NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR CELTIC

E heard anything about husseklep? Think its maybe time to just go out and get this guy now, we need to get rid of murphy and rasmussen and bring a quality striker in. We b a good addition coz he can play out wide aswll i think.

Drew {Ed007's Note - Bari have reportedly upped the price from £1.5 million to £4 million, Stoke have shown an interest along with a few German teams. Although the player has said he would like to move to CFC, he doesn't see anything happening any time soon.}

Believable6 Unbelievable3

I think we should get rid of sammy and murphy and keeep rassmussen

FOR ME GOODWILLIE AND MURPHY ARE NOT GOOD ENOUGH, THEYRE NOT SEASON TICKET SELLERS .I DONT THINK CELTIC WILL DO ANY OTHER SPENDING MAYBE A LOAN DEAL THATS ABOUT IT HOPEFULLY BELLAMY OR SOMEONE WITH SIMILAR CLASS NO MORE AVERAGE JOES {Ed007's Note - Ah Bellamy, the striker who has scored an astounding 50 goals in the last six seasons, that sounds very average to me.}

Believable3 Unbelievable9

JUST BECAUSE YOUR WRITING IN CAPITALS DOESN'T MAKE YOUR POINT ANY MORE VALID. YOUR TALKIN MINCE, BELLAMY IS A GOOD PLAYER BUT NOT WORTH THE MONEY, THE OTHER 2 ARE YOUNG AND FULL OF POTENTIAL AND MORE IMPORTANTLY MAKE GOOD BUSINESS SENSE.

Agree0 Disagree0

DO YOU ANYTHING ABOUT FOOTBALL.the problem here is too many folk are like this guy , they get told a player is great by the media and hype him up .bellamy is overated and over the hill he could not lace larssons boots even when he was in his prime, the last time he came up we paid him 60 grand a week and his missed chances against motherwell cost us the league .i would rather we bought potential than wasted money on this.if youwant to see some one buy the league go buy yourself a seat at man city.fab1

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree about bellamy being over valued but don't see the fuss about murphy and personally don't see goowillie coming to CP

Agree0 Disagree0

You're right Bellamy couldn't lace larssons boots , but I know who I'd rather watch playing for Celtic and it's not goodwill or anyone similar, you use the phrase business sense is business sense a half empty Celtic park , no one wants to watch these guys this isn't the recession causing low season tickets sale it's the fact there's nothing that would make people part with their cash

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed in reply to your comments about bellamys scoring record over the last 6 seasons , check out all our current strikers records over the last 6 seasons samaras hooper stokes murphy Rasmussen they're not very impressive either it wasn't that long ago when Celtic didnt accept less than 30 a season from their centre forward my post wasn't about neccasarily Bellamy just quality {Ed007's Note - Every CFC striker you mentioned wages don't add up to Bellamys.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm not interested what wages he's on ed I'm not interested in Peter lawells big wages either I play my season ticket money and want quality {Ed007's Note - That's good that you aren't interested in his wages, because Bellamy himself is and Lawwell and even NL seem to give it a lot of consideration when talking about him. I think you should realise that football is a business and come 2013 when the FFP rules come into effect players wages etc will play a VERY big part in whether we are allowed to compete in European competition.}

Hi Ed, Not been on for a while.As you know i am a big fan of Goodwillie.Spoke to him 10mins ago, he was told to attend last nights game by his agent McArthur.Celtic are showing very serious intrest in him, David is in Glasgow this afternoon to meet his lawyer Mr Paul McBride.He expects to move to a new club very soon but does not know where.CFC ARE A VERY REAL OPTION BUT SO ARE MANY ENGLISH TEAMS....Would you still not take him?.....HOOPIE007..... {Ed007's Note - If he signs for CFC I wouldn't be disappointed, I just think for the reported £2 million fee there would be better options out there.}

Believable3 Unbelievable10

Mate i really hope u reply to this? Y come on here and say uv just spoken to goodwillie and all that about last nite's game. He wasnt there, it was bellamy. Wot do u get out of comin on here and makin stuff up?

Drew

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi Drew, was at last nights game, never saw Bellamy or Goodwillie, but as i said spoke to Goodie, he was at game with Johnny Russell and left at h/t.When you see footage to prove will greatly accept your appology, Ed do you have anything to show Goodie was at CP, hate being made out a liar....HOOPIE007..... {Ed007's Note - I can't find anything so far to prove he was there Hoopie.}

Agree0 Disagree0

He wasnt there, especially at the request of his agent coz we would defo know about then. Also i think ur whole story is a lie, u never spoke to goodwillie. Ur either a rangers fan just trying to stir it or ur just a sad little man who makes up stories in the hope sum1 listens to u. Draw back the curtains mate and head outside and get sum fresh air.

Drew

Agree0 Disagree0

How would you know if his agent asked him to go?I think when you see he was there you will look rather silly.Sticks and stones and all that.Chill out and have a wee saucer of milk.

Agree0 Disagree0

Who are these better options. I say if he wants come let him come. Think he is and will be a great player.

Does anybody else think that Jamie Murphy would be a better signing that Goodwillie? Or is it just me?
Kevbhoy

Believable15 Unbelievable10

Can't decide Kevbhoy, both on the way up obviously. Good players no doubt.

I think my question would be, are either of them better than Stokesy? And can you pair them with Super-Hooper?

Shaunybhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont think there is much between the two and I dont think they are better than stokes but they are both better than sammi and big dazza. But Jamie Murphy would probably cost half the price and I think hes younger too.
Kevbhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

I reckon that Goodwillie is a different type of player to murphy, stronger and more direct. I think he has more goals in him. Murphy would be more creative, but I think GW is more what we are looking for

Agree0 Disagree0

If i had 2 choose i would take murphy he would b cheaper and less of a risk GW is a loose cannon

Agree0 Disagree0

Completly agree Murphy would be an good signing, like badwille will get better and better, but think Murphy is the one that would make it in EPL and probably go to play for a bigt club if he keeps progressing, would like to see him a parkhead Huskleep my 1st choice but unfortunatly looks like we've been too slow to act agian and are going to be priced out rather than just paying a million for him last year Chris

Agree0 Disagree0

Id like to see murphy at cp. but we really need to start selling players. also (i hate saying this) but take a leaf out of rangers book and go spend about £4/5million on a really good striker.(jelvic)

Good morning ed,

I see rankers fans on here day in day out talking sh*t about us stealing there targets lol,

2 points, firstly Celtic must be very clever we send our scouts further a field to find players like cha, ki and kayal while rankers employ there scouts to go not very far a field because low cost airlines don't fly that far n there the only flights they can afford

Secondly we haven't stole players from rangers as they r not rangers players lol, we just offer a penny chew more and ppl realise they don't want to play with the shame and more like a team with pride, good set of fans and something that no other team has at the moment NEIL LENNON.

Hail hail

Cumby Bhoy {Ed007's Note - Good morning Cumby, what happened to the sunshine today? That must be our summer over for the year.}

Believable5 Unbelievable4

Morning bhoys - a wee point on the scouting system at murry park a certain john brown and neil murry so take it easy guys we got very little to worry about , as in them two spotting a good player similar to archie nox saying james mccarthy was too small to be a footballer,
not a clue have these folk got

ktf davybhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Be quiet cumby boy - check your teams debt and wage bill. I think you will find we, meaning the mighty gers are one of the few debt free clubs in britain. debt free, not trophy free like your runner up mob

watp {Ed007's Note - LOL debt free? Where is the money that was owed to bank? The debt has been transferred to Shooters company, it is not paid off. Did you not get a copy of the official document that was sent out to Rangers shareholders, I can e-mail you a copy of it if you want and it explains exactly the way Rangers finances will pan out after the final tax hearing. With a plan for either outcome.}

Believable7 Unbelievable9

28 Jul 2011 07:31:02
Not much happening on the signing front by the looks of it. I hope Bellamy isn't a real option. He was good when he was here 5 or 6 years ago but he isn't gonna reproduce that form now....and he'd cost a fortune too. As for Goodwillie.........not sure about him. I'd rather we focussed on getting a top keeper instead. Pay the money for the right guy and we'll be fine.

Does celtic not have their own transfer targets or do they always resort to stealing rangers targets?

Believable8 Unbelievable20

CELTIC are prepared to hijack Rangers'
move for Dundee United star David
Goodwillie.
SunSport understands Hoops manager Neil
Lennon has asked to be kept informed of the
£ 2 million- rated striker 's situation .
Ibrox gaffer Ally McCoist is desperate to sign
22 -year -old Goodie but has had two bids
rejected .
Premier League outfit Wigan and Championship
side Blackpool are also in the hunt. But Lenny
has quietly been tracking the Scotland star.
United are adamant they won' t accept a penny
less than £ 2million for their biggest asset who
has just had rape charges against him dropped.
And that price may yet scare off Parkhead chief
Lennon who is as keen as McCoist to bolster his
attacking options.
Last night Blackpool chairman Karl Oyston bid
£ 1 .6 million plus add- ons for Goodwillie but that
offer was rejected by Arabs owner Stephen
Thompson.

hope this does not happen .

Rankers target players but cant afford them....simples

Agree0 Disagree0

This lad would score a barrowload for Celtic, I would have him before Sammy, Murphy or Stokes. I for 1 hope we do get him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well commons, goodwillie, goian, danns, izzaguirre, miller and even boyd at one point so i think neil lennon just needs to grow up and stop tryin 2 steal gers players. Oh and btw it's RANGERS not Rankers. The same name that has been on top of the league for the past 3 years. {Ed007's Note - Ever heard of a Neil Diamond song called "Forever in Blue Jeans"? The first line starts "Money talks............}

Agree0 Disagree0

The simple fact is both teams are looking at the same level of players in the same price range

Agree0 Disagree0

If money talks then rankers must spend it then if you want the players they have to spend i think that they do not have the money i can send them some if they want

Agree0 Disagree0

Or is it not just a case of sharing the same targets? why does it surprise you that both celtic and rangers would be monitoring scotland's young player. and celtic have been for some time. the thing is, celtic don't need to go for him until rangers make the first move because we know you lot will go in with a disgusting bid first off.

Agree0 Disagree0

Celtic didnt try to sign miller, boyd, goian or danns ya clown. We had been tracking commons for just as long as you but because you were too skint to offer anything decent, lenny waited for your pitiful offer and then upped it. Izzagurre was not a rangers target. And by the way, Celtic and Motherwell are top of the league now, get used to it fud baws.
Kevbhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Goian?, Izzaguirre, (Rangers player when did that happen, dont recall Rangers being ever being interested in him anyway)BOYD???? (Do you always believe what nonsense the Sun tells you) Goodwillie? controversial story to sell a paper. As for Chris Commons well Commons sense prevailed. ;-P

Agree0 Disagree0

Money does talk ed? so does time. lets just say one of us will be singing at the end of the transfer market when it closes??

Agree0 Disagree0

Get a grip mate rangers were never after izzaguire Celtics scouts spotted him and he got player of the year Get it right up ye

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers scout the players for celtic. rangers need to sell to buy due to likelihood of no CL cash and the fact mr whyte has very little capital. what happened to the war chest ? put up or shut up. if lennon wants him, he will offer the £2m and he will sign for celtic. if rangers stopped penny pinching they could have signed him by now

Agree0 Disagree0

Since when were commons, goodwillie, goian, danns, izzaguirre, miller and boyd playing for rangers when Celtic where interested and I think you will find its was fat sally who can't find his own targets muppet.

hail hail

Marco1888

Agree0 Disagree0

The word target is key mewaning players can b targets 4 any club not just RANKERS

Agree0 Disagree0

Izzaguirre was interesting gers but as soon as tht story broke celtic started their interest. U were also interested in signing goian. U were preparing a move for boyd when he was free. U also tried to sign danny wilson from liverpool. And btw im glad celtic are at their rightful place in the league - SECOND

Agree0 Disagree0

Do you not think its maybe just that lennon is a bit smarter and doesnt shout out his transfer targets when they are nowhere near signing for the club therefore stopping other clubs "stealing them" as you put it
