Why are some of our fans panicking over the League situation. Once we have the Spartak game out of the way, i would expect 7 or 8 wins in the League on the bounce. Literally, their eye has come off the ball a bit, but normal service will soon be resumed.

Believable29 Unbelievable10

7-8? Doubt it. Let's start off with getting 1 win...then we will look for 2. We haven't be consistant this season, it no going to happen straight after CL group stage is finished...going to take a bit of time, its not going to happen at a flick of a switch.

Agree0 Disagree1

We are a poor outfit struggling to win games against mediocre opposition yet top of the league with 2 games in hand. Says a lot about the rest of the league. 2 or 3 wins in a row will see us run away with this league, never mind 8 or 9.

Agree1 Disagree0

The SPL is the most competetive for ages, due to our dropped points and everyone else beating each other etc. Motherwell, Hibs, St Johnstone, Aberdeen and Inverness are all within 2 points of us most teams seem capable of beating us.
I would be glad of a couple of wins and a gradual marked improvement in performance.
I am totally frustrated that in a lot of games most of the players are well off the boil, as we would probably have much more points if it was the odd player being 'carried' from time to time.

Im in no doubt we'll win the league, but what i'm not happy about is the lack of effort from the team in home league games , after all a lot of supporters have stumped up £500 for home league games, and the lack of effort compared to away performances is like night and day... I still blame the black socks tho!!.......Stevie( the black sock hater)

As I have said previously. Both the OF teams (not belabouring the facts about liquidation etc.) are playing a cup final every game. Great for the leaguse as there is a strong opportunity to reach CL knock-out stages. Main problem being, they never play like the do against the blues and greens and we end up with lower co-officients. I wanted the league sown up but while ( I still believe its in the bag and Euro has been the main competitor)I am concerned that we will piss off the fans and the atmosphere will be effected

hi ed.. maybe its just me but im getting the vibe that not many people would miss hooper if her left... maybe his not at his best atm but I for one would be disappointed if he left. your thoughts? thanks {Ed007's Note - I think you should prepare to be disappointed. He tried to get a move back to England in the summer and whether he signs a new contract or not I think he will leave at the end of the season, possibly even January at a push, if the club gets a high enough offer for him.}

Believable15 Unbelievable2

I never realised he was that desperate to leave.. surely with possible CL games he'd want to stay but I see were your coming from. how much do you think he will leave for? and any possible replacements? {Ed007's Note - Hooper told NL at the end of last season he wanted a move back to England, the only reason for it is that he is desperate to break into the England set-up. I don't know how much of a fee he will command, that could depend on if he signs a contract extension or not. Newcastle and LFC are showing the most interest just now.

There is still interest in AJ Leitch-Smith and Charlie Austin has been watched this season, Newcastle have also watched Austin as an alternative to Hooper.}

ed burnley have quoted as high as 10 million pounds for charlie austin which is way out of our reach this guy has been on fire for burnley this season with 21 goals already and rumours down here is that he will join everton in the summer. one guy celtic should look at is leigh griffiths i know he didnt do to well at wolves but he would be a fantastic signing and i can see hooper leaving in the summer so why not bring in griffiths as his replacement. one benefit is that griffiths is still young like hooper. {Ed007's Note - Newcastle are looking at Austin as an alternative to Hooper and Aston Villa have also watched him and will bid if they sell Darren Bent. He will not cost anywhere near £10 million. Everton will definitely not be in any position to spend that on him, and Newcastle and AV just won't, Austin has only a year left on his current contract come the summer.}

Agree0 Disagree1

Think Hooper has been a great striker for us, I know he's went of the boil abit over the last few weeks (also been injured) I'm sure if he's looking to get his ticket back to England we will see the best of him very soon. Starting tomorrow night. You don't become a bad player overnight, however commitment is a different perspective altogether. I would much rather Hooper stayed another few years at Celtic park. Ian L

Fernando torres became bad over night lol

Agree2 Disagree0

Hooper is a good striker no more no less, he will score goals at most levels, his work rate like most strikers is poor, if he left i would surprised if he would be missed but you could say that about the majority of the team, this team has no flair or any stand out players ( and before anyone says wanyamma, he is a good prospect), now is the time to cut the squad of the average platers and get one or two flair players in to get the crowd on their feet and looking forward to go to a game, as things stand at our best we are a good unit that works well to a plan and at our worst we are a team that lacks imagination and the ability to break down mediocre defences,

It saddens me to say

ed this is argubly the most important week for us we have had in years would you go out against spartak with the cautious approach which we have had in this campaign or would you go out and go right at spartak from the start. i fear we will go into the game thinking spartak have been on a poor run and it will be easy for us. when we know that when clubs get a new manager their results tend to improve and this might spur spartak on. i think we need to be wary of this and keep it tight for a while then if we don't get a goal then open up although i think even if we draw then benfica won't get a result in spain i think barca will play a full team and they will go for a win. {Ed007's Note - I think Barca will get the win against Benfica, Barca don't go out to play for draws, no matter what team they have on the park. I think CFC need to keep it tight for the first 15/20 mins, we always seem capable of losing an early goal in Europe. After that, if the players show the right attitude we should be able to get beat them.}

Believable6 Unbelievable1

I'm hoping that Messi is going for the goals record that night as the whole team would be on fire so he achieves it.I think Messi hat-trick against Benfica and Celtic will have a nervy 1-0 win.

Jungle Bhoy.

Agree0 Disagree0

I would be dissapointed if celtic cannot beat spartak moscow they are playing a very poor team in spartak moscow and they have just lost the big moscow derby 5-1 sacked their manager so they will be very down hearted and with already not having a good away poor record in europe they will have nothing at all to play for and i see celtic winning very comfortably the only worry for celtic is barcelona have a potentially trick away game in betis after the benfica game and they may well rest the majority of their squad for the benfica game. celtic will beat spartak but i unfortunately think benfica could well beat barcelona. lets hope not.

Agree0 Disagree0

Benfica will not beat barca are u daft barca will win 3+ no problem even with there so called 2nd team celtic will win 2-0 big Sammy and miku for the goals for us

Danny Graham (loan) and Mackay-Steven in January? What's the chances ed ?
Would Celtic fans be happy with this? {Ed007's Note - Swansea are looking for £4-5 million for Graham so no chance of that. I think Mackay-Steven will wait until the summer before looking at his options.}

Believable5 Unbelievable3

Set your sights higher than Graham, he's a decent player but only decent, I'm sure Lennon has been watching better players to link up with Watt
