PUKKI, Huntelaar is injured and his 8m replacement Adam Szalai broke a foot in his bone today. Surgery is "likely" - he´ll be out for eight weeks. Think that´s Pukki off the table.

Believable7 Unbelievable11

Total lie as he ain't injured he scored twice against paok and pukki unused sub why come on and waste our time and eds as well.

Agree1 Disagree0

Im posting what is on another forum, and the lad who posted itis from Germany, the break was discovered after the game.
j88

Agree0 Disagree0

Well they are wrong because he would needed to have had a scan and been assessed at hospital and I doubt it would have been done that quick so I still don't believe it. Must be someone taking the piss.

Agree1 Disagree0

Whatever.

Broke his hand. Op requirement not known yet. Quote from him in German press is he plays football with his legs, and he'll do anything to play against Leverkeusen in their upcoming game.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bit of a barrage from an anonymous post. Is it an anonymous freaking out big time about tomorrow with harshness or a bitter Ian black posting fizzin after his burst coupin lol …who knows . Quote your facts bud by checking and leaving a name. Some truth about this spot j88, debate in full flow admittedly. still think he might be a gamble being our 10th or how many pick, still think he would be a better winger or pacey AM we need a finisher to appear from within the team or from the transfer market at it just hasn’t happened . Let’s get tomorrow out the way show up and do it and we can all calm down a bit rglen8

Agree0 Disagree0

Fellow Bhoys, Who really cares. Clearly someone who "follows" THE Rangers and on the wind up. All in the name of causing a fuss. They should be more concerned with YET ANOTHER case of scandal at the dump in Govan (betting irregularities).

Anyway, the long and the short of it is these are all rumours/fantasies until the guy signs on at the hoops. I personally don't buy into ANY of it but I love this site for the banter.

in MY opinion, and this is an opinion not something I have "read" or heard from Neil Lennons old school dinner lady or someone who walked past an old player in Aldi, the names that have been flung around are a bit uninspiring.

Pukki? doesn't really do it for me but if he signs, I am behind him and would LOVE to be proved wrong.

Nir Biton (spelling? LOL) Looks like a big lad but will he cope fit in? Will be play in DM/CM or will he be put further forward and we resort to "Sutton" style long balls? Who knows, maybe that's NL thinking with him as I am sure there will be other options avialable for a MF? Again, if it works, if he cuts it then I am behind him. If he turns out to be a Du Wei (in MF). Well it happens.

the other 300 strikers we have been linked with. They haven't signed and as far as I have read, there was only 1 who rejected the chance to come along and be a part of the hoops so all speculation really.

I still think we are seriously lacking in defensive experience. a Rock Solid CB who will go through players and pick up the bones later. that's what we need, to compliment the class, passing out of defence. Midfield, I think NL has options but also looking to strengthen. Forwards to me are not up to it. Heaven forbid I say it but I WOULD play Sammy 9 times out of 10. The lad can do something and why not take the risk IF there are other regulars who will perform every time. Forrest and Stokes for me are NOT consistent and I don't even smile now when I see them on the team sheet. from the half our I saw of Boerigter before his injury I thouth he was better than BOTH them combined. He ran the line and got into the box to miss about 4 chances but he was there.

Strikers are being considered just now, fair enough and as Balde hasn't had a chance, will see where that ends but the defence needs to shore up! SB

Agree0 Disagree0

Newspaper said broke bone in his foot, now they said it was his hand, anonymous poster keep picking lice from your sisters back.

This is a rumour site and some rumours may be true and others false, I post what I hear, I don't make it up, even though it could be made up before( inserts smilie face with fingers sticking up)

Schalke official site.

Two goal Szalai shrugs off the pain.

Says its his hand he's injured. He hasn't had an ex ray yet to tell the extent of the injury but I watched the game and although he wasn't throwing himself into challenges or headers he managed fine. He had something on his arm to protect it, didn't quite look as bulky as a cast.

Story about his foot is someone just talking out there ers.

Hi Ed, can you please confirm when transfer window closes.
Numerous folk are saying its saturday at 11pm and seemingly published on SFA website. I was under impression it was monday at 11pm? Thanks, keep up the good work {Ed007's Note - The Scottish window closes at 17.00 on Saturday Paulo. Every other major European league's is 23.00 on Monday. It's a total farce, it means we can lose players after our window closes and can't replace them.}

Believable3 Unbelievable6

It's Saturday at 11pm for Scottish Premiership clubs and midnight for Scottish Championship, League One and League Two clubs. Only reason our transfer deadline isn't the same as the rest of Europe is because of the SFA not wanting Rangers to have that extra day before the window closes to potentially spend. It's ridiculous as it means we and the rest of Scottish football are missing out on extra days to bring in players. Also at risk as you say of losing players.

~seamus~ {Ed007's Note - Sorry, you're right mate. It is 23.00.}

Agree0 Disagree0

That is an absolute joke. Why would they even think that makes sense?

Slightly different subject ed but if Pukki would still be able to play in CL if he signed, i'm guessing it would be the same for Hosiner? Not that I think we`ll go for him, just curious as I thought they could only play if their team was knocked out.

MikeyBhoy. {Ed007's Note - It has caused confusion throughout football all day MB. Even on Sly they said NL was hoping to bring players in before Monday's deadline! It wasn't until I got an e-mail confirming it that I knew what to believe. Both players would be cup-tied for Europe btw.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe if peter Lawell got his finger out his ass couple of weeks ago and spent a bit of money we received from our tops stars then we wouldn't be worrying when transfer deadline ends as we have our players no doubt we will panic buy on saturday night end up wae Roger milla and benson and hedges lol guys if we don't laugh about it we will get mad hail hail bal1986

Agree0 Disagree0

This is utter insanity by the amateurs that run our game. Neil Lennonm has been quoted as saying we are constantly offered players on the last day of the window - we now will be unable to act on these offers, yet could see star names leaving. Utterly disgraceful. Jean-Pierre Laguerre {Ed007's Note - I have major concerns about our GK situation over the weekend JPL.}

Agree0 Disagree0

We have a poor enough league and low co-efficient without hampering our teams even more. There is a very strong possibility that our top teams will lose good players over Sunday and Monday and the quality of Scottish football will get even worse.

JJ

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed - that was my first thought too! We are very vulnrable to a bid for FF. Thing is - we no longer have a 3rd keeper (Kamenar and the swedish guy are both away) so really the club would be forced to sign a backup before the SPFL window shuts, which would state their intentions re Forster. I know you tube is not the best way to rate a player but if it was this guy certainly looks the part loads of effort around the park and weighs in with a fair few goals here's hoping. Alanp

Agree0 Disagree0

Certainly looks a quality player in the tube video. Look forward to see him play :-)

Sharky

Agree1 Disagree0

Agreed, AlanP: looks like he could add some urgency coming away from the back line and pushing on to the front. I could see this fella complementing Brown in the same as Wanyama was able to

This could be a good move for kayal might help him settle backdown and recapture form he had in first season.

007, I think I have been banned again mate. Or a technical error ;)

Can you sort it out for me again please. Thanks.

Sydney! {Ed007's Note - You haven't been banned/blocked as far as I can see Syd. I was actually wondering where you had got to yesterday I was expecting a retort from you lol. I have passed on your message to the geeks buddy, have you tried to post today?}

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks mate. I did come back with a few bombs, but they didn't get through ;)

Truth be told, I am actually a big fan of Rooney (bar last season) and always look for him on the team sheet. However I do think SAF tried to offload him this summer. I hope last season wasn't a sign of things to come and was just a one off.

What do you make of the Herrera bid? He's a good player and if I am not mistaken he was a player Barcelona earmarked for Cesc's replacement. So should be a good buy. He's built for the EPL, but has the tippy tappy Spanish technical ability. I did think we wanted a creative midfielder and a bit of muscle for midfield.

Sydney! {Ed007's Note - The geeks have told me to tell you to use the 'Contact Us' form mate so they can look into what has happened. If Rooney doesn't get the finger out this season he will struggle to even find a top team willing to buy him or pay him what he is looking for. He seems to at least have came back in better shape than last summer, I thought he looked more like his old self shape wise against Chelsea. AF was out of order saying what he did about him on TV though, he only created a severe headache for the club, Moyes, Rooney and the fans by saying it. As you have said, maybe a bit of lingering 'afters' over his last contract negotiations.
If Utd buy Herrera it will be a massive step in the right direction. Obviously he wasn't a first choice signing but that doesn't worry me, it's not as if you can class him as a panic-buy. I always said I could stomach signing Fellaini as long as he wasn't the only MF player brought in.
Utd really need to get rid of some deadwood though Syd, guys like Young, Anderson and even Nani are just floating about collecting massive wages for doing sod all. How many chances has Anderson had to prove himself? Young was just a strange/bad buy altogether and Nani is far too inconsistent to play for a top team.}

Agree0 Disagree0

007, first of all I chose this thread as it's discontinued by the Celtic fans so they will be unaware that I am using it to chat to you.

I think you are right about Anderson and I think he will be sold if we buy both Herrera and Fellaini. I also think it would be difficult to keep Ev if Baines is brought in, but not impossible. Nani is very inconsistent, but did not get on with SAF at all. I think we may see a 2011 Nani return and that Nani was a very good player. I agree with Rooney, all of it. Was my fave player for years even when Ronny was here, but last season did get on my nerves. I hope if he stays he knuckles down, but I do not see him agreeing a deal. He will defo want an improved deal and I doubt we will give him one. Certainly not on last season's showing.

With Nani I think talks with Juve were simple, they have told him to wind down his deal and they will have him for free next summer. They are a sly bunch. Young I think is a useful squad player and I think Nani, Young will come in very handy this season in the cups. It would be nice to use them in the domestic cups and in the easy EPL games (if there's such thing) so that we keep our best players fit all season. I will contact the site tomorrow mate, off out on the p1ss tonight. Take care 007 and speak again tomorrow sometime.

Sydney! {Ed007's Note - I hate Juventus as I do all Italian teams, you never know if matches are fixed or not! Have a great night Syd, speak soon mate.}

How good can this fella Pukki be . He can't even get a place in the team tonight when it's a must win game for Schalke . Or has a deal been done? . If its not I think £3 mill is a bit much for a second string player . DH

Believable4 Unbelievable5

You are aware schalke have much better, more experienced forwards they can play? He's a good player, but he shouldn't be starting in big games.

Agree0 Disagree0

Pukki was on the bench in the 3-2 win but was not brought on

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes I am aware they've got better players . What I did say was £3m was a bit much for a second string player . DH

Agree0 Disagree0

Not when you look at his game time to goal ratio, especially when you consider the league. look at higuain for example, he was always second pick at real. didn't stop napoli paying €35? on him. Bad comparison and a totally different situation, I know. But just because he's "second string", doesn't mean he isn't worth it.

Iain

Agree0 Disagree0

We need players in regardless, - this Celtic team is poor to average, we would go into the Europa league or whatever it's called if the worst comes to the worst. We all know we shouldn't be in this position as players should have been signed already, but it's certainly better later than never. I think Ciani is what we need-he'll also have improved for his time in Italy, and is still young for a centre half. But we need a creative midfielder, West Ham keep telling their fans they can't sign anyone else until their wage bill is reduced because they are at the thresh hold, I would go for Mark Noble! Paul

Agree0 Disagree0

Why is there not a point in spending . We will still be in Europe albeit a lesser competition but still a European competition . We also would be hoping to win the league so that means CL next season so why wait until then to start strengthening again . DH

Agree0 Disagree0

Ransom notes! Classic. Al Geri you're certifiable. Please get someone to show you where the caps lock is.

Agree0 Disagree0

Aye we are spending big? biscuit tin mentality again, I really hope we don't get put out tomorrow night. This will have a big impact on us for a few years if we don't make it and its Peters fault. This buying cheap and hoping for a gem has to stop, we as a club has spent tens of millions over the last 4/5 seasons on absolute dross, £1 mil here 1.5 there and loans here all pish players taking a wage, the fees and wages could have and should have brought in better players.
I love Celtic but I feel they don't care about the fans anymore.

It is to my understanding that Neil Lennon has around the £8m mark to spend on players between now and the end of the transfer window. Have already spent £6.4m on Balde, Van Dijk and Boerrigter. Lennon given almost £15m for this transfer window alone.

I reckon there will be pot a & pot b of cash available, depending on if we qualify or not. Ian L

It frustrates me looking at FF's stats - On paper he looks like a world beater when in actual fact we know about his lack of presence for such a big guy!
