Is he still about? Thought he would have done for wasting police time. {Ed007's Note - I have noted your IP address. If you can explain why he would be wasting police time I am sure the constabulary will be keen to speak to you. And please don't use it was on Twatter as an excuse, that could be construed as wasting police time.}

hi ed
do you think our board will relax with transfer money because of rangers situation or give neil a good amount of money. i personaly think they will sell two high profile players ki and hooper and then give lennon that money and say they have spent a fortune, where in actual facts they aint spent anything.

other point about poor rangers, i hope all this publicity about the three people who gave an honest punishment on there failure to follow rules will not make people give in and let them off with it, think of all the companys that are owed money by them, and nothing payed to them. small companys all the way up to large companys. some of this debt was already there before mr whyte took over so maybe some other people should be getting blamed aswell. its as if they are rangers you cant do this to us, what a load of you no what. i just hope all spl team fans gather together if rangers transfer ban gets overturned. do you know if the double contract complaint is still being investigated or has that been hid away .thanks again aldo bhoy {Ed007's Note - I don't really care if the money for new players comes from sales or any club profit. Does it really matter? We have said for seasons that is the most prudent method, bring on young hungry players and sell them at a profit. It is still income to the club that is being spent. Too much importance is put on just spending for the sake of it, I for one am delighted that we are champions, have a great young squad and we are in a position to strengthen the squad, and that we are being run correctly off the field as well.

Believable5 Unbelievable1

The key thing that Celtic must do is sell a couple of players at peak value on a fairly regular basis, continue to make profit and ensure they have a wide ranging scouting network so as the profit can be reinvested in as good or better quality players at a lower price thus gradually improving the overall quality of the squad and competing in Europe. This summer may be a year too soon to start selling though as Champions League exposure can see players value rocket.

Agree0 Disagree0

Im of the opinion that the board has to trim the squad and transfer money will be less than it has been. obviously if we get some serious money in for our more well known players this may be different.

But i cant see any competition next year and with the pittance of a profit we made this year the balance sheets need to be improved. football as a whole has to do this and i believe we would come out the other end in 5-10 years a much healthier institution than some of the teams down south and across europe

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said ED! {Ed007's Note - Thanks, mammy :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

When yous put it like that i suppose its right way to do buisness.it would be good just once that the money men give neil some serious cash to spend.lets hope the bhoys can give us a cracking final old firm game

there's a part of the no signing embargo that everyone is missing.
why are the first team players who allegedly play for the jersey not going to be there next season?
Do they do walking away?
They couldnt care less, thats why clauses were inserted into contracts. Nothing to do with the greater good of club
Sooner this whole sordid mess of a club disappears the better

Believable10 Unbelievable2

Well you cant let your heart rule your head when you got a mortgage to pay I dont blame them if they go {Ed007's Note - As I said at the time when there were talk of redundancies etc, people live within their means. People buy houses, cars etc on their earnings, whether it is Ł600 per week or Ł25k a week. Players are entitled to make sure their family, lifestyle ,belongings and any other investments are covered by the wages they have agreed to (in a written contract) and need to keep up payments etc. All the talk of they are on Ł25k a week, they can afford it etc is complete nonsense, break it down to percentage of loss of earnings and how many of us would cope? Playing for the jersey comes at a price, that's why players leave clubs.}

Agree0 Disagree0

A club is just another employer, how many of you would turn out for your club for a fraction of your salary? lol

Agree0 Disagree0

So what part of this embargo are we missing?

ED007 just watched Bilbao/Sporting game, great game and two teams
trying to win game, wanted Sporting but well done Athletic Bilbao..
My point is about their forward LLorente I know he will now cost a fortune, butI would love Celtic to put in a cheeky bid and see if we could get him. I see that Southampton may bid £7m for Hooper and there is talk of bids for Ki £5m. I would estimate bids for the Spaniard would start around £8 - £10m then big wages.. but hey if we want to make impact in champions league he is the type of player Celtic need. What is your opinion ED007 would he come to Celtic? Oh well I can dream..
Timalloy {Ed007's Note - We would never get Llorente Tim, all the big teams are watching him. The deal for Hooper has always looked on the cards since January although he was never leaving then. Him and Adkins have great relationship since Scunthorpe, but Southampton might not get a chance if they don't get promoted.}

Believable2 Unbelievable3

Llorente for Ł8m-Ł10m?! No chance - more like Ł30m-Ł40m

Agree0 Disagree0

Llorente is a regular in the Spanish squad and has played about 20 - 25 games for them. He offers them something different due to his height. He'd cost about Ł25m and demand high wages.

Agree0 Disagree0

He would never leave athlethic as they have a policy for basque players and they are very loyal to the club {Ed007's Note - They do sometimes leave, but it does take a lot.}

Hi Ed

just a quick question, what is the chances of fat sally being hauled up in front of the SFA beaks due to his outbursts?

Also do you think they are likely to reduce the sanctions on the shames appeal?

Cheers Ed
HH
pfb79 {Ed007's Note - I don't know if McCoist will be charged/punished but any reduction on the sanctions would be just laughable. What grounds are there to reduce them, because Rangers don't like them?}

Believable7 Unbelievable2

26 Apr 2012 20:15:10
To the Rangers.........

Now there's a shocker, wee fatty on the TV backtracking after his irresponsible rant, insisting that the panel should be identified publicly, knowing full well their identities.........he'a a gutless snake in the grass and always has been, as well as a useless manager!

Yes, our manager has been guilty of misdemeanors, as you've all alluded to, let's see how balanced you are! McChins should be denounced as an instigator of mischievious activity and motives!

Yes, you are "the people", a race of superior beings that rule this mighty island.....oh, how the mighty have fallen!

Miko x

Believable10 Unbelievable3

Do you think he will be found guilty of incititen hatred? {Ed007's Note - That would be more a legal situation.}

Agree0 Disagree0

The most sleekiest man on the planet

Agree0 Disagree0

Alot of bitter celtic fans to say the least... do you reckon no threats have arisen from the constant claims from the celtic management claiming referees decisions are "personal"? or when celtic fans have surpassed threats and ACTUALLY assaulted a referee with a coin? {Ed007's Note - You really want to cast up the past? Barcelona 1972...... you are celebrating your first ban from European football, you must be bursting with pride with that one.}

Agree0 Disagree0

If lennon had made the same comment then he'd be getting slated on every football show on the planet. disgusting whats happening to the SFA panel.

Agree0 Disagree0

I couldn't agree more with this original post. Fat Sally is a sly snake in the grass who knew exactly what he was doing when he made his public rant. The fact is he will get away with this. If it was Lennon he would be up in front of the courts before the week was out. The quick that disgraceful club is liquidated or punted out of the SPL the better for Scottish football.
WuTanBhoy x

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm a Celtic fan my self and think that the word iresponsible is not the best word to use after all we have done the f*ck uefa banners were iresponsible Lennon running on the field was iresponsible and the comments on twitter was a load of sh*te jjust a cover up just my opinion also think it's stupid to sing about rangers dieing if they do die then we will lose. A LOT of money and won't be able to bring some big names to paradise.

26 Apr 2012 18:22:58
If you sign players and dont pay
the clubs the agreed fees then the
SFA need to be strict or no one will
sell players to the remaining good
clubs (and SFA could be punished
from UEFA.

Thus the punishment MUST fit
the crime.

NL must get the team scoring in

Wow just checked out this Markus henriksens clips looks fkn magic! Young 6.1 ft great talent, defo one for future. I seen he knocked back Genk In the last windy, but if we offer a wee bit more plus Euro football next season we might just be able to nick in there n get him I hope ! Plus made my mind up I do like the new top after a day of thinking about it. I'm surprised with the tennents logo Being as small as it is but never mind. I really hope the away strip is the one is the one that's doing the rounds which is basically just the tricolour ? That would be so fkn magic in our run for nine in a row now!! I see Duff & Phelps are telling UEFA that Greg Wylde was made redundant from Rangers after not being paid for a month.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but was Wylde not quoted as saying he had decided to leave so as his wages could be feed up for other staff and he couldn't cope with the worry.

Celtic launch 125th anniversary home kit

CELTIC Football Club is delighted to announce the unveiling for the first time of its new home kit, marking and celebrating the Club’s 125th anniversary.

The 2012/13 season is set to be a special one, as the Club will be celebrating 125 years of proud history.

Nike has created special kits for this landmark anniversary, starting with a new home kit.

The hoop represents the history of Celtic, it represents the family, it is inclusive and should never be broken. With this kit, Nike has looked at ways to contemporise the Hoops in a clean and classic way.

A Celtic home jersey traditionally has seven unbroken Hoops. This season, there are nine thinner hoops, linking back to the nine consecutive Scottish league titles Celtic won between 1965 and 1974. It is a record that has never been broken.

The jerseys have an anniversary crest, celebrating the Club’s 125th anniversary. The pattern around the crest is Celtic knot-work. This kind of design again ties back to the Celtic origins of the Club.

The jersey has a small Celtic mark at the outer back neck and marks the foundation year and the year of the anniversary at the inner back neck.

The new jersey is worn with white shorts with the Celtic knot-work detail printed on the side panels and with black socks with a green and white hoop, again to underline the Club’s heritage.

Main club sponsor Tennent’s Lager, a supporter of Scottish football for almost 40 years, has changed its branding on the Club’s home shirts to mark the club’s 125th Anniversary.

The logo will now appear below the club crest on the left breast of the shirt rather than across the chest as in previous seasons.

Tennent’s believe that the way in which the brand has been incorporated into the new strip is a fitting way to celebrate the Club’s 125th anniversary.

This move has been welcomed by the Club, and will be appreciated by the supporters who will wear this classic kit.

Steve Annand, Commercial Managing Director for Tennent Caledonian Breweries, said: “When we were approached about the new kit designs and talked through the sentiments behind this special anniversary for the club we wanted to play our part to help create what will become a truly classic Celtic shirt, we have achieved this in a positive way.

“The kit design is based on the original world-famous Hoops first worn in 1903 and we feel our branding fits this perfectly.”

Celtic Chief Executive Peter Lawwell said: "We´re very grateful to Tennent´s for the way in which they have recognised and shown such commitment to the Club´s 125th Anniversary season.

"It is magnificent that we will enter our 125th season as Champions of Scotland and we are sure that our supporters will enjoy celebrating this very important milestone.

“We have enjoyed an excellent relationship with Tennent’s during our very successful partnership and they are without doubt one of the finest brands with which we have had the privilege to work.

“Tennent´s have been one of the most important brands in Scottish football over a number of decades, we thank all those at Tennent´s for their support and we look forward to continuing this great relationship."

And the Chief Executive added: "Once again we are delighted with the fantastic design which our kit supplier Nike has developed.

“We have been grateful to enjoy a strong relationship with Nike, such a successful global sports brand. This has been a hugely beneficial partnership for the Club and our supporters and it is one we hope to continue for some time.”

The new Celtic home kit will be available in July 2012.

Heard a wee rumour straight outa Lennoxtown(not compton!) that Lenny might be considering a shock start for Ibrahim v rangers.Seems he is straining at the leash and showing up really well in training and seems to be involved with all the certain starters in training.Personally i cant see it, but on as a sub might be a cert.............green jhedi {Ed007's Note - I heard this GJ but I would be surprised if he started. I am looking forward to seeing him play though.}

Believable10 Unbelievable2

Any truth in the rumour that the boy is a bit of a hothead and is complaining and being.. whats a nice word? Challenging. I hope not just what I am hearing. Sopot Celt

Agree0 Disagree0

What i was told(good source) is he is buzzing in training and always asking Lenny when he can start but no attitude at all from him.All week he has been heavily involved in everything they are practising and Lenny thinks it might be a real curve ball for rangers to deal with............green jhedi

Agree0 Disagree0

No truth in it, as i was saying the other day, i am a blue blue boy but my nephew plays for celtic u19s and has said that the wee guy rabiu or whatever is a genius but that lennon etc have been trying to toughen him up as they see him as a key player in the future but dont want to rush him in ahead of that other wee guy that scored the solo goal against aberdeen.

I think they are being careful. My nephew was telling me about a few things hes seen him do at training and believes the wee guy is ridiculously talented. I have heard however he doesnt pass often enough and is a bit like mccourt/messi n that if he can do it himself why pass, this may be the problem too.

BlulePeter

Agree0 Disagree0

@blue peter; dont doubt your post mate as they are always thought out and balanced.cheers.........green jhedi

Agree0 Disagree0

I have heard the same from a few people that he is being prepared for the scottish game before they stick him in because the coaching staff believe he will be a vital player in Celtic's future.

A few of the youth players who see him in training are awestruck at how talented he is. Apparently when he first arrived Tony Watt said on twitter that he was different class.

Look at how Aluko has played in this seasons Old Firm games. Ibrahim is a similar player but far more talented so I think the rumour about him starting could defininately have foundation.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd bring him on off the bench and tell him to enjoy it. regardless of the score. from what i've heard he is ridiculously talented and will beat players easily but unlike mccourt he is very fast

Its pretty good IMO not least as the Tennents logo is far smaller ( I dont agree with alcohol advertising on our shirts..just my opinion please no big debate) I dont care about the socks as I only wear the top and even then only on special occasions. "I firmly believe that decisions of this magnitude should be fully
transparent and everyone should have confidence in the system that has been created to deliver such a finding.
"When I called for full transparency on Tuesday I took the view that the decision by the judicial panel should be subject to proper scrutiny. It is unthinkable in any walk of life that such a significant punishment would be meted out without full transparency. The quote above is how Mr McCoist justifies what he said on his clubs TV. And, had that been all he said there would be no threats being issued to the 3 panel members.
Instead, he removed his 2nd hand cardigan and blazer and pulled on a hoodie (apologies to all law abiding hoodies everywhere) and demanded
to know the names of the panel. To come out now with this quote is a
mark of the man he really is and it's not the 'cheeky chappie' portrayed by some of our less illustrious newspaper men. He was quite clearly, and
apparently passionately, asking someone, but not him, to out the panel members although he must have known who the 3 wise men were. I detect a bit of deja vu here with Mr McCoist mouthing off, causing unrest and disruption and then coming out smiling saying "who me?" If he actually hangs on to his job next season I would suggest he sack Mr Dingwall as his speech writer. Finally, although the outing of the 3 wise men was not illegal, does anyone know if there is going to be any questions asked as to who named them?
Frankiebhoy.

Believable9 Unbelievable4

If transparency is so important to McCoist perhaps he would like to publicly demand RFC announce the names of everyone who benefited over the years from EBT's. Outing those people would no doubt be of more interest to the scottish people than who sat on the SFA panel,

Agree0 Disagree0

Oi Frankie I wear a hoodie :-)

Rangers will resign from SPL but not today as is bring suggested in some circles they will wait till the gang of ten vote for new voting rights and throw there vote to them obviously cant publish my source but can give you wee bit of info that dont think is in public eye letter that SDM recieved from Collyore Bristow for proof of funding wasnt worth the paper it was written on as it was not signed by any of our firm

Believable7 Unbelievable4

Not sure on this one TBH. I am not saying Rangers wont resign from the SPL but if, as the inference of this post suggests, they will wait purely to have a parting shot at Celtic by voting against them then that is probably wide of the mark in my opinion. Ranger's (or Celtic's) resignation from the SPL, at any time, would result in the voting structure changing anyway - they would not need to vote for it, it would be a natural occurrence. That is why Celtic in particular want Rangers to remain in the SPL, with sanctions, and maintain the status quo. If they do resign it may be more to do with 'sticking it' to the SFA as a whole by reducing the finances within the game, affecting sponsorships and the potential SKY TV deal but I fail to see the logic behind carrying through with this approach. We are not exactly popular within the Scottish game currently and willingly taking this action, knowing the consequences, would make us even less popular if that were at all possible. The threat of resignation might be mere brinkmanship designed towards receiving more lenient sanctions in the future from the SFA or to try and force Celtic to favour them in relation to the forthcoming SPL sanctions in my opinion.

Before resigning it would be sensible to have already received verbal or written assurances from the SFL that their application would be accepted in the first place. Have Rangers had the time to do that yet? Doubt it, otherwise talks would have been happening before the sanctions were even announced as these things take time. Also an SPL club is a far more appealing prospect for a prospective purchaser than an SFL club. Why drop out of the SPL willingly unless the bidders have already agreed or sanctioned it? The sanctions imposed so far are SFA sanctions so they will follow Rangers down the divisions anyway so it isn't a back door way of escaping them. I can't see Rangers willingly taking this action somehow. We will just have to wait and see.
