Board has sold us all and Brendan false promises why was Brendan not told when he signed his 4 year deal there was no transfer for budget for 18/19 season along with the 50,000 season ticket buyers?

Kevdoyle24 When did you find out this amazing "fact" I thought Board spent
£7/ 8m or more on Eduardo . I thought they paid some money on Arzani loan . etc.
Maybe the board have decided that until Brendan rids us of some of the rubbish he signed in the previous 4 Windows they cannot trust B R with any more.

Eduoard was basically a free transfer from the money we received from Armstrong or even the van dyke money that has seemingly vanished. pity we can’t play a disco ball in central defence just what we needed! . be surprised if Arzani kicks a ball.

With PSG recent close shave with financial fair play, I would not be surprised if Edouard transfer fee was being spread out over a number of seasons with the condition if he is sold then balance is cleared. Im not convinced we paid an upfront fee for him.

Folks, we all need to take a deep breath and calm down. This kind of finger-pointing and apportioning blame is totally counter-productive and is exactly what TFOD and their friends in the press want!
Ok - we have been poor - but we still have the best squad and I still think we will win the league. We also have £37m in the bank that we can call on in Jan to give us some extra impetus for the 2nd half of the season (before the Dembele money) .
Let’s pull together, support the manager and the team and stick it right up Sevco.
Remember - A Team Like No Other.
Hail Hail.

Kevdoyle24 Basically according to your argument very few clubs ever have a transfer for budget? at any time, as most clubs use money bought in from sale of player to fund or part fund the transfer fee for incoming player . Just like Armstrong for Eduardo . Amazingly teams in the EPL who receive up to £159m from TV even use player sale to help fund player purchase.

Db67 🎣 me thinks? A shambles? we are in the same position as Sevco were in the league last week and the MSM has us all believing the persons were showing great signs of progress and what a start mr shake the opponents hands Gerrard had made? But a couple of iffy results and Brendan’s off the players hate each other blah blah blah? I am confident as I have been the last 7 years we will win the league it’s only September the big prizes come out in may 🙂⚽️🍀🏆🏆🏆.

Please don’t anybody try and justify us doing feck all to prepare us for the CL. That would be taking happy clapping arse licking to new levels I didn’t think I would see, even in here.

We had money, we made money, we shat it and we are paying the price. To try and cover up for Lawell is nauseating.

Bigp compare us now on and off the pitch to any time in the last 2 seasons and we are a shambles And this isn’t a couple of iffy results we have only won 9 out of 19 home games in the league at Home also we have not won away this season so Bigp this is nothing like Tharp last week this has been over a year now #SHAMBLES.

A transfer budget is agreed very early with regards to financial strategy. Normally in that budget will be an agreed amount of money from player sales wether it be 50% for example or all of player sales going into the budget pot for players.

Also remember guys that this budget is not just for the initial transfer amount it relates to wages for the season and agent fee.

Brendan has stated that he wanted 3 players and these players where easily achievable had we not stuttered. Those players where John McGinn, Fabien Schar and i forget the third player now. The boards arrogance cost us McGinn, they thought he would walk over hot coals to get into the hoops shirt and could have potentially moved for free or on the cheap in Jan/ Summer 2019. Schar again was achievable but we did not pursue this as far as i am aware. If we did then it would have been a 6 figure initial offer/ bid.

Brendan is not clear of blame, he has possibly created poor relations with the board in some of his targets not being able to play in the first team. Lots of time and money wasted on Musonda capture. Massive failure due to the boys attitude and entourage according to reports, this should and could have been and maybe was highlighted earlier on in negotiating the deal and Brendan still pushed for it. Along with other failed signings the trust in Brendan and his teams eye has maybe been questioned. We know who he has signed and who is really struggling to make and impact. 2 defenders spring instantly to mind. Im not going to say to much about Benny and Kouassi. They are young and on buttons. They have a load of potential and where never purchased to walk straight into our team.

Plenty of blame but blame carries us backwards, we all know the sort of things going on at the club. We all know that we are a selling club with a biscuit tin mentality (French Eddy) aside. He is a one off for us, they see potential dollar signs in his eyes. Its an investment for the Peter Lawells bonus pot not initially for the fans. Bonus pots come first. We all know this.

Back the team and we will get through this.

My final thought is how disgusted i am at how the Scottish media are creaming thier pants with Stevie G hysteria. Its almost embarrassing. Did they not do the same when Murty went on a run beating teams for fun and scoring all over the park. How did that turn out again? They are full of confidence and we are looking like Ronnies Team. Which we still kinda are. We just need a kick up the arse and if guys aren't speaking to one an other off the park due to personal disputes then we have turned in to "them over the road" pathetic to think about a split dressing room. Boydy hopes the dressing room is split.

The double "treble" champs do what the feck they want.

Db67 take it you listen to Clyde ssb too the wee cheerleader quoted that stat several times we took the foot off the gas tail end of last season to concentrate on the treble which we won and also helped Hibs and the sheep too! Off the park we are a shambles we cave 27 million in the bank befor Dembelle cash we live well within our means yeh maybe not as successful a transfer window as we hoped. But do you does any of us mere fans know exactly the ins and outs of Boyatas dealings or who the club targeted or who brendan did really want as his signings ain’t been too great? As for the smsm favourite dig Mcginn the guy didn’t choose us as he wasn’t guaranteed a starting slot we matched fee and wage and he still chose villa? So as I said a few iffy results I have the upmost confidence the team and management will get it sorted and by the end of may not September we will be the most consistent performers and win the league! ⚽️🍀🏆🏆🏆 #creamrisestothetop.

Yeah its frustrating we beat ragers - 3 points and then loose to killie. but killie will take points of hearts/ hibs/ aberdeen. aberdeen will take points off - you know where I am going.

we will pull our socks up, we will win a cup or 2, we will stil be in europe after christmas and we will be top of the league and and I hope then you all come back and say sorry. he he.

Hearts, Hibs and Rangers have already beaten Killie

Killie won’t get in the top 6 this year and I doubt they’ll take many points of the top teams this season.

What gets me is everyone and their dog seems to think the board have sold Rodgers short. Well he was probably told his budget if we make the CL and his budget if we don't he signed the deal knowing all the facts. So it's on him if we don't have back up targets.

Shocked we're turning on the manager. Brendan Rogers is the best and only man for the job. He's been let down in even the modest aspirations he demonstrated in the summer. I worry that his remark about it taking a season to remedy might play as wishful thinking. We need to match his talent and ambition. And we need to be ruthless with the squad and fantastical with the speculation.

We're blaming the manager because it's 100% his fault. He needs to turn it around very quickly. Does anyone on here enjoy watching us play? It's pathetic the way we pass it around and makes it incredibly easy for our opponents.

With the exception of 3 players, brendan's signings have been poor. I painted this picture a few weeks ago. The win over rangers papered the cracks. We stuggled against st mirren, barely beat hamilton and if it wasn't for the killie defenders mistake we wouldn't have scored. HH☘.

Everyone at the club is culpible in this mess.
*The board have let us all down with the poor transfer window.
*Rodgers tactics aren’t working, and he doesn’t seem keen to change them.
*The players seem to have downed tools for some reason.
And let’s be honest, Celtic Park is a morgue these days. There’s no noise (and I include myself in that) , so the fear factor isn’t there anymore. The fans need to get behind the players on the pitch, and scare the opposition players.
The boyata banner didn’t help, but to his credit he’s kicked in instead of going in a huff.

CC. he needs to look at this slow build up with the monotonous side to side . side to back then repeat ad nauseam for 90 mins style of play. wanting rid of him just now is ridiculous. but don't agree he is the only man for the job . the whole recruitment set up is shocking and needs overhauled and improved immediately .
