Isn't it great to see the genuine delight in Timo Weah's face due to the fact he's playing for Glasgow Celtic. The way he celebrated both his goals and interacted with the fans as well as the way he talks about the club in his interviews he seems genuinely honoured to be here. And to read his instagram page today he says that we are more than a football club, we are a family. He totally gets it. I'd love him to stay longer than his 6 month loan 🍀.

Hope the wee man starts on Saturday let’s see him get a full ninety minutes 🍀.

Cannot wait till wee get the rangers in our own pad and restore natural order. The pace through this team will destroy this team of overpayed passengers . Comon Celtic rap up the treble treble asap and dump Valencia 🍀 great days to be a Tim.

Nice to see genuine delight in celebrations. Maybe some of the players giving him stick could show a bit more as too many these days seem to just shrug off scoring a goal. It's nicer to feel that connection. The boy Bayo coming in looks like he loves a celebration too. I think just that little bit of freshness in the attacking third will raise the bar.

What players are giving him stick?

Wylie Christie says they where winding him up all in good banter.

About his celebration I think lol.

It's cause when he scored his first goal he done about 5 celebrations at the once lol. all in jest though and apparently has been warmly welcomed.

I completely agree. It's great to have such a someone with such a positive energy come in and appreciate what we're all about. I love how he gives the glory to God too. Very humble and he can only be a good influence on the rest of the squad with an attitude like that. The added bonus is that he also seems a bit tasty with the football :D.

Well played tonight by the bhoys, really like the movement and touch of Weah.

Hopefully KT not too far away from a return, wil make a huge difference in the run in.

All the way bhoys!

If seems clear BR hasn't had much to do with the new winger coming in. Saw a comment which said he doesn't know much about him and we have millions of wingers and he will be going straight out on loan. Seems very strange comment to make.

Where did you read that Ter?

Agree1 Disagree0

24 Jan 2019 06:19:20
Very strange really ter, at a time when we seem reluctant to pay for a weak area in right back we manage to find 2 million for another winger that the manager knows nothing about. Who has made this signing? Why are they doing it behind his back? Being slightly pessimistic I’m thinking this could be Brendan’s last season, there seems to be still a bit of disharmony there. I really hope I’m wrong because I can’t see us getting in the same calibre of manager when he does eventually go, and even as a lot of people say his signings haven’t been a success it’s never a good sign when the club starts signing players behind the managers back.

At big clubs the managers don't pick the players, he also said same about Arzani
If we have a chance to get a great young player that could make the club millions why not.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jan 2019 07:13:34
We are not reluctant to pay for a right back. We have approached and been rebuffed for a few this window.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jan 2019 08:30:50
We rebuffed ourselves kev over prices.

Also hate to be that guy but I've told you all along on here the manager doesn't make the signings.

Since way before Rodgers.

So many people you see absolutely slaughtering Rodgers for his signings. Even slaughter congerton and before that john park.

When these guys work with 2 hands tied behind their back.

Even if you watch si ferry interview with paddy McCourt. It was Desmond who signed him and Strachan didn't know who he was.

Now we operate by having links with clubs and agents and use their pool of players. Mark lawwell at Man city. Dudu dahan the old agent.

So think before you say it's all Rodgers fault he doesn't get trusted with money.

24 Jan 2019 08:37:35
I remember paddy mcourt saying when he walked into the training ground strachan never had a clue who he was think this has been happening for years.

Was Rogers who picked Hendry after praising him for weeks
It was Rogers that's said no to Fabian Schar and wanted compper instead.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jan 2019 10:20:18
There is no way Rodgers picked Compper over Schar. Absolute lie Kev.

24 Jan 2019 12:00:41
Kev83 sorry mate but you are being taken in by the spin doctors at C. P the reason we have no new R. B is purely down to the asking price, and as for commper over Schar down to Rodgers nonsense again down to money lawwell and Desmond have put in an artificial ceiling of 2 mill tops for new signings, don't you find it lust a little strange that the cheque for lawwells bonus is more than paid out for. All the new signings so far, a lot more transparency needed around just who is signing these player it's very obvious it's not BR and with congleton given a back seat who and why are we filling the squad with loans and bench warmers when come the summer we stand to lose half the team, on a positive note team plated very well last night enjoyed the game.

No it's not it's been well known for a while.

24 Jan 2019 14:05:46
Hi Jonbhoy. I saw it on reports which quote BR as saying it about the winger. It doesn't come across as happy about it.

24 Jan 2019 14:09:50
2 million ceiling on signings?
Really?
So we didn't smash our transfer record in the last transfer window?
Bloody hell I must have dreamt that.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jan 2019 15:16:58
But a thought Rodgers didn't pick the players so is he to blame for the mince ones and gets no credit for the good ones.

Agree1 Disagree0

24 Jan 2019 15:41:23
He gets a say in signings mally. It's like a committee as far as I am have heard.
Just have to look at Scott Sinclair to see he gets a say.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jan 2019 16:16:12
Agree kev he does but he seems to take the rap on here for the duds but not the hits.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jan 2019 16:36:36
Actually kev that's not true. We were in contact with Scott Sinclair when deila was the manager so yer wrong again.

Sinclair knocked us back for Villa and having Rodgers helps attract guys like him

But Sinclair was sought after by us before Rodgers.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jan 2019 16:46:08
Don't think that's quite right mally.
Most people rave about how he's improved the team that was here and quite a few believe Sinclair was an excellent signing.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jan 2019 19:32:48
We might have wanted him but he was one of the first Rogers asked for and we only got him because of Rogers. So he was most certainly a Rogers signing.
He has always been a major favourite of Rogers from his time at Chelsea.
Bought him for Swansea. Enquired about signing him for Liverpool and then signed him for us.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jan 2019 19:42:14
Maybe it was tongue in cheek, maybes ayes maybes no, he's here for 10 in a row.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jan 2019 20:38:33
Nonsense Kev83, Brendan Rodgers publically stated he wanted Schar.

24 Jan 2019 23:03:18
Impression I get is that Kev is in a bit of denial about how much the board has total control these days.

It can work in some ways but imo our board seen too arrogant to make big decisions when needed.

Far too safe.

To blame Rodgers for signings is a bit mental and tbh shows a lack of knowledge on modern football.

The manager nowadays is becoming just a head coach for many teams.

Clubs are relying more on structure than one mans decisions. On paper that sounds sensible but it can also be a disaster.
