Stokes to Sheffield Wednesday! You kidding

Agree0 Disagree0

Hopefully, I don't see any need for him at celtic now to be honest and we should be able to get a few mil for him

Ed any idea how long Bangura has left on his contract? It's pretty clear that no one will ever buy him and like Daryl Murphy he will be continuously loaned out until his contract expires. We'll still be paying half of their wages no doubt

LM67 {Ed007's Note - Bangura signed a four year deal in 2011, so he has until summer 2015 on his contract.}

At least we are getting a decent loan fee for him, and probably only paying some of his wages.
Hope Mccourt is next to go to let young Dylan get a chance Timalloy

Heard it was a year long? For the full Swedish season i.e til December? Unlucky Mo thought he could've been given a chance - Dirt McGurt

Agree0 Disagree0

Good he's off the wage bill and getting a competitive game every week.
Perhaps he will come good with time.

Agree0 Disagree0

Aw am no sure if its year long a just read it was for the rest of the season but dunno if that's our season or thers

Anyone think we'll be in for Luciano Becchio?
Handed in a transfer request at Leeds. Two foreign clubs already made offers!

Believable10 Unbelievable16

I think We have already stated an interest .

Marco1888

Agree1 Disagree0

He's 29, which is probably too old considering our signing policy.

Terrible Beauty

Agree0 Disagree1

Not good enough, would be very disappointed if we signed him.

Agree2 Disagree0

Think he's OK, but wouldn't add anything significantly better to the squad. Not far off 30 either, so doesn't fit in with our recent transfer policy. You never know though, remember what everybody thought when a 34 year old Slovak joined...

Agree0 Disagree0

Anything over two million isn't worth it imo.

Agree0 Disagree0

Were did 35/36 yr old swede freddie fit in with signing policy?

john

Agree1 Disagree0

He was a free transfer John

Agree0 Disagree0

That was a while ago wen Celtic fans we're begging 4 marquee signings most fans have came 2 terms wit da way Celtic do business now

Agree0 Disagree0

Becchio is Leed's top earner and is only leaving because he wants more cash, can't see us giving a 29 year old a big contract

Agree0 Disagree0

Free or not marco he still got signed? what am getting at is people are saying a guy at 29 is too old to play for celtic, that tbh is a joke

Does anyone think Wanyama will leave this transfer window?
I can't see Man United or any other interested team offering the big money right now that we feel he's worth. Personally I rate him at £12m-£15m.

Believable21 Unbelievable25

I would be mad if we didn't get at least 15mill. That plus a good sell on is what I hope for because that will show the world we mean buisness and can find true talent, especially if it's man utd or another big club

Agree1 Disagree0

Can see t-gel making a bold move for sammy after that performance in the head and shoulders ad, they even got him to smile

selling hooper 8m wanyama 12m combined with ki 6m champions league 25 / 30m great business as long as we have replacements ready in john park we trust rickybhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Wanyama won't be leaving until the summer. The teams that want him won't be able to play him in the champions league if he is bought this window

Agree0 Disagree0

Wanyama is worth considerably more than £12m !

Agree0 Disagree1

If I was Fergie and really keen on Victor then even though he is cup tied for the CL I would buy him bed him in the squad and watch the benefits come the start of next season. He has been excellent in the hoops and the writing has always been on the wall that he is destined for bigger and better things. Would hate a deadline day deal with no time to replace him. Another gem please Mr Park...

Agree0 Disagree0

Wanyamas cannot be replaced. That's his value to Celtic. Hooper can be and in fact I think most of the players we have are very good players but with the scouting system in place we can develop and get the new batch to a very good level. My humble opinion is that Wanyama is a once in ten or fifteen years player. He is in the HL category, obviously they are totally different types of player but he is in that outstanding category along with Henke. As such we will miss him and if we can replace or develop him with someone as good I would be utterly amazed. Therefore I will be gutted when he moves whenever he moves and as for a monetary value whatever we get for him will not be enough. This Bhoy is going to be the outstanding DM of his generation and as a football man I can only imagine what would have been possible having this guy in the team for 5 or ten years. Players who left in the past King Kenny, Choccy, champagne Charlie, Di Canio, Pierre and John Collins and of course Henrik all left a pair of boots that were never filled and I fear it will be the same with Wanyama. Sopotcelt.

Just read about Wilfred Zaha going to Man Utd for 15M. If that's the case then Big Vic must be worth at least the same. He's an internationalist and proven in CL so more like 15-20M in my opinion.

Agree1 Disagree1

Totally agree. Zaha's price tag is bewildering. As for replacing Vic should we get £12-15m, £15m+, we could replace him. Newcastle are signing Sissoko for £2m and he'd do a job. The financial return on Wanyama could strengthen the whole team, more so than the McGeady money did.

Agree1 Disagree0

Vic will not be leaving this month. Even if Fergie was to "buy" him it would be like Zaha and he would remain with us until end of season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Forget Zaha what about Downing... 20 million, or a few years back franny Jeffers for 8million. no chance 20mil + or he's going knowhere

Agree0 Disagree0

Sopotcelt nailed it on the head. Wanyama has the potential to be one of the best holding midfielders in the world. I work with a Man Utd fan and and he was asking me a couple of months ago how good he was, and the only player I could compare him with was Essien.

Agree0 Disagree0

Good evening gents...

as a man united fan I have to say that Wanyama looks very impressive. Is he worth £20m compared to some of the players quoted here.... HELL yeh and the rest....

ps... you forgot big Andy C.... £35m... that's right £35m and now on loan after 1 season.......

Will you get £20m for Wanyama...... depends on how hard your board negotiate.. I think he will go for £13m + the normal add-ons taking the deal to around £18m... I just hope it is us that get him.

All the best for the rest of the season and I hope you beat Juv.... will be interesting to see Wanyama v Pogba...... still cann't understand how we let that boy go....

Well imo I would hold all the clubs after our top players to ransom tbh £20+m for wanyama not that I want him to be sold hope the board tie him to another 5 year and £30k rise to keep him and to hooper £15m+ well all the speculation its not affectin him and I think him playin for survival in the prem instead of playin CL football hope hooper is just foolin us and keepin us wonderin what he is going to do coz I really think @23 proven goalscorer in spl the 2 cups and the CHAMPIONS LEAGUE I would give him wot he wants, stef1967

Agree0 Disagree0

Most of the players mentioned here with their inflated pricetags are all english. This is why the price is so much higher. Is there not a ruling due to take effect soon regarding homegrown player numbers in your squad? Reason wenger brought so many young foreigners in for arsenal who will qualify under this. Otherwise they would be going for around 5m. The quoted 10/15m is a fair estimate

Agree0 Disagree0

Any attempt to limit the amount of foreign eu nationals in a team would probbly breach eu employment laws - and if big vic isn't sold, he will probably let his contract run down until he gets a move
