Omer Damari and Eyal Golasa being linked with Celtic according to reports in Israel. Both of them have Dudu Dahan as their agent, who brought Kayal, Ambrose and Gershon to the club.

21 games
16 goals
I'd rather see 2 of our strikers leave sammi being 1 and the new guys givin a chance before a new striker what Neil should have done givin them all a good few games and see how good they where and if not up to scratch sell and get someone else in .

Agree0 Disagree0

Were we not linked with Damari two summers ago and didn't pay the 2 mil for him

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - He was a Maccabi Petah Tikva player at the time and their president went public that a deal had been agreed along with claims about sell on clauses etc. Peter Lawwell was furious and pulled the plug on a deal and Damari joined Hapoel Tel Aviv. I'm sure he has a 3 million Euros buy out clause in his current deal.}

Think Damari would be a good signing but he's been linked for years, decent record.

Agree0 Disagree1

To add fuel to the fire, Dudu Dahan is in Glasgow. Posted an update on his Instagram account.

Agree0 Disagree2

I knew there was something ed cheers

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - No probs.}

Y are everyone posting that we are linked with all these players and sly not reporting anything?

Agree0 Disagree0

Haven't seen the guy play but according to his stats 41 goals in 82 games for Hapoel, That's not bad at all.

Still can't see PL signing a cheque 4 another striker when we have 8 already. Unless there r a few on the way out.

Agree0 Disagree0

Celtic won't sign anyone else this window unless it's cb, NL has just brought in 3 new forwards and with Sami looking like he's going nowhere I can't see him spending 5/6 million on a so called cl striker if there is such a thing! If so who? I would bring in Stevie May to do a job in the spl if he does well we could sell him on hooper wanyama style .

Agree0 Disagree1

Stevie May waste of money!

Lennon said he wants to do business now and not in summer we have too many crucial CL qualifiers. His words no one else's.

Have to agree though don't see us signing ANYONE else in this window which I feel let's the manager down badly.

If Sammy and joe want to go get their near £50k a week off wage bill by offering them free tranfares the now. Would save approx £1.4m in wages between now and 30th June.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - The club wouldn't save anything, they would still need to give them any money owed from their contract including paying up the remainder of their wages, loyalty bonuses and in Ledley's case probably signing fee instalments. Apart from that they would probably be looking for a settlement for any bonuses they would be due at the end of the season.}

I think sammy and joe won't go for the simple fact there isn't any real interest in ether of seem nor stokes or kayal or lennon would help pack there bags they are all too inconsistent and to be honest not worth 5k a week never Mind what they are getting! Let's not even mention sick note rector, pukki, bangura, balde, tony watt . They are all average players . Stevie May has been consistently scoring goals, £500k 10k a week wages if your lucky . why not?

Agree1 Disagree0

Stevie may went to my school bell baxter in cupar fife and I can confirm he is from the darkside.
Hew1888

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh and I genuinly think balde is the real deal. See big things for him next season.
Hew1888

Agree0 Disagree0

The dark side u say! o well that's that a no go, realistically who do use see NL bringing in for our 2/2.5 million Pish? And if he does push the boat out I hope it's not Fletcher I watched him last night and doesn't look any better than what we have in sammy, same goes for Leigh Griffiths.

Agree2 Disagree0

Damaris caught my eye in the Europa and I was thinking he might have been one that got away. Surely a couple must be on the way out. Sammy and Bangura?

Agree0 Disagree0

The dark side and TFoD refer to The Rangers international FC and possibly some of their players current and past but I would suggest not to some guy who happened to go to a non-denominational school. Sopotcelt.

Agree0 Disagree0

@op surely the three names listed, should give us an indication not to sign anyone from this agent? We don't need anymore pool players! Couldn't give a monkeys hoot if sammy leaves! Two mazy runs a season does not justify a wage! Ledley is a good player though, and although we have an abundance of mid players, there are none as good as joe, kayal is closest but gets brushed off the ball too easy then gets posted missing! We need another Alan Thompson type mid hard aggressive with an eye for goal! Tony watt is another David Marshall! One game against barca then forgot! We are clutching at straws with signings now, are there any that could walk straight into our team and improve us straight away? Sick of buys for the future! We need quality now! Qualifiers will be on us before we know it! Or will the board promise a superstar to sell season books then wait to see if we qualify first?

Agree1 Disagree0

So Stevie may is a rangers fan so it's a no. grow up! Scott Brown our captain is a rangers fan enjoy that thought

Agree0 Disagree1

Delbhoy 100% hit the nail on the head with everything!

That's exactly what will happen they will come up with the usual "couldn't get over the line with one thing or another" will go again in the summer blah blah blah.

Agree1 Disagree0

24 Jan 2014 11:51:26
He's scored lot more goals than that for them wpedia only shows league goals I seen a stat that he scored 5 goals in 4 games in the champ q this season?

I think I would get rid of sammi and stokes I used to go mad last season when he would get drop but this season he's had a chance to be our main forward and he's let the club and fans down on scoring goals however I think his play out side the box has been really good! Is he better than pukki out side the box
Who would u keep if u had to choose pukki or stokes?

Agree0 Disagree0

It's so frustrating to be a Celtic fan rite now! The board sold three first team player for huge profit! You can't replace them with players for the future? They are sitting counting the the heavy bank balance while the fans pay even more to watch lesser standard players week in week out! It's a sad state of affairs, but until the zombie tribute act come back up, this is about as good as it will get! Just my opinion though! Until rangers are challenging us for the cl pot of gold they will sit back and milk the cash cow knowing no other team will challenge!been proved time and time again . Mon took us to Seville, 2 or 3 quality signings could have made us a reasonable force in Europe! What did the board say? After last seasons run in cl? 3 assets sold! Afraid it's going to be dire till there is a genuine challenge for the big pot! Rant over!

Is Scot Brown no a hibee a fan?
A don't mind a rangers fan playing for Celtic a do have a problem if they've been raised hating everything about our club and fans if so they'll not want our money and u couldn't trust them to give 100%

Agree0 Disagree0

Grow up? Correct me if I am wrong but if u grow up supporting rangers and there for dnt support celtic why would that not be a no go? All that talk about scot brown being a rangers fan is a lot of rubbish . Celtic will not sign a striker in this window! We need a cb and a left back, with good play making from or new attacking mid when I say attacking that's not joe and brown pass back, pukki and blade will come good!

Agree1 Disagree0

Kenny Dalglish, Danny McGrain and Davie Provan were all die-hard Rangers fans - didn't stop them giving their best for Celtic.

TomTheTm

Agree0 Disagree0

Jock Stein wasn't exactly a lifelong tic fan, in saying that at the moment Mays not good enough.

Always had a soft spot for Manchester United but a change ma mind like ma socks whenever an ex Celt is saying fit a team

Agree0 Disagree0

We have a chelsea fan on the site. Watch oot for him whoever he may be. I have always followed arsenal thanks to my mum who went to see them in the 70's when she was in London. She kinda forced them onto me lol but I am hapoy she did
Still if celtic were to come up against them I would not even have a soft spot for them.
Hail hail

Agree2 Disagree0

I can only support one team with any degree of enthusiasm. I may "like" a team on a particular day if they're playing against a side I don't like but my support is 100% to the Bhoys. And only them. I don't have the energy to follow anyone else and any interest in other teams is purely down to my love of football in general. I don't even support an international team with any enthusiasm.

Hail Hail

Agree0 Disagree0

Seen the Chelsea vote as well Hew, worth a watching lol

Liverpool for me since I was a wean. Not been to Anfield in ages, think I'd be in the divorce courts if I spent money on following an English team as well!

Agree0 Disagree0

Always been Liverpool for me as long as I remember. Being a wee boy my dad (big fan of that dead club) tried forcing Chelsea on me - buying me tops, etc. Where as my mam tried to force Manchester United on me - doing the exact same. My auld man took me to get a new fitba top for my birthday one August almost 20 years ago and to his disgust I pointed to the green and white Hoops saying "I want that one" - then my uncle started taking me to games circa 1996/97. Auld man still tried taking me to Mordor but I kept knocking it back, I'd seen the light. I don't know where Liverpool came from but, just one of those things that as long as I can remember I had a soft spot for them then declared them my English team about 2003.

Agree1 Disagree0

Only Celtic affect me and motivate me like no other team; but I do take an interest if a favourite ex-Celt is managing or playing on any particular day for another team.

Agree1 Disagree0

Leicester City for me play good football Big Joe

Agree0 Disagree0

Wee pats aewaeys been a spurs man due tae his staey in the smoke fur some 22 years!
nae wisecracks noo peepul

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't really support them but like to see my local team Bradford City do well. Now that the ginger lesbian McCall isn't there anymore

Agree0 Disagree0

Always liked man utd but have a wee soft spot for west ham an spurs for some reason, same.with Newcastle well until pardew was named boss, hate that man

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't believe the mighty LeedsUtd are not on the list . shame on you Ed .

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Granted that probably should have made the list, sorry.}

Bet Paht speaks wi a cockney accent and can only type in Glaswegian

Agree0 Disagree0

Man City!, can't wait till they f*ck chelsea

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeovil town, went there as a kid and they wore green and White, my English team since! Get to at least one game a season when down in Cornwall/Devon, great wee club!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Are you from Coatbridge by any chance? I know an old Bhoy from there and him and his mates go down to Yeovil once a year for the match, a pi$$ up and golf weekend. It started out from a caravan holiday a couple of them went on with their wives years ago and initially went to the match simply because of their strips, it eventually became an annual lads weekend away.}

Being a corby bhoy when Celtic is away and corby town is at home its corby town for most season book holders from north of the border, you will find not only Celtic fans but rangers too, it's like fu""ing therapy but then corby is a funny town , corby bhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

The old joke, celtic and celtic reserves

Agree0 Disagree0

Middlesbrough - since the Ayresome Park days. I've been to see the Northern League team Celtic Nation a couple of times as well since they formed - they're backed by an Irish-American as far as I'm aware and the whispers amongst grass roots types are that they're a "back door" into the English league for the Hoops. They play near Carlisle so it makes sense.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't worry too much about the Leeds thing sir. It was a passing interest really. Watching wee Billy Bremner kick boys twice his size had a certain entertainment value .

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - A lot of older supporters I know keep an eye on Leeds though after the EC matches in 1970.}

West ham utd

Agree0 Disagree0

Man utd for me as get cheap tickets and buses from fife, works out cheaper than going to the tic

Agree0 Disagree0

I always follow ex Celtic players when they manage clubs so Villa at the moment

Celtic could rekindle interest in Leigh Griffiths should Georgios Samaras be sold to Sunderland after Wolves have left the door open for the Scotland striker to leave should the Scottish champions increase their offer. (Daily Express) The agent for Serbia midfielder Filip Djuricic, presently with Benfica, has insisted the 21-year-old will not be joining Celtic during the current transfer window. (The Scotsman) Celtic lead the race to sign Middlesbrough Rhys Williams after Swansea City dropped their interest in the Australia central defender. (Daily Record) English League One club Coventry City are closing in on the loan signing of midfielder Dylan McGeouch from Celtic. (The Herald) Swedish club Gelfe expect a bid from Celtic for their 16-year-old Congolese-born forward, Tshutshu Tshakasua, who has represented Sweden Under-17s and has been on trial in Glasgow. (The Herald) Kaposvari Rakocz have told their 17-year-old striker, Mark Murai, who is due to go on trial with Celtic this month, they will not stand in the way of a move to the Scottish champions. (The Herald)

Bruno Martins Indi is a player I would love to see at celtic. a left sided centre half to partner van dijk. 4-5 million well spent I would say

NFL was reported to have been down watching Charlton's CB Michael Morrison and striker Yann Kermorgant.

Believable8 Unbelievable3

Is Kermorgant not a little bit old, considering our signing policy? Needing a striker for champ league, don't think this boy is the answer.

Would love Snodgrass, Rhodes or Fletcher and Ciani brought in, one can only dream.

Kevybhoy (couldn't remember my password/email addy/username, its not been a great morning.

Agree0 Disagree0

Didnt realise the nfl was scouting Scottish filtr players

Agree0 Disagree0

The piece was reported in a redtop so not my rumour, just passing on the info.
I put the details of the report in my post but Ed007 must have removed it (which is fine btw) ;).

Agree0 Disagree0

Chris Powell (Charlton manager) has said something about it today (regarding Yann), must be some truth in it.

Maybe he will be another Yann(Jan) Vennegoor, who knows. Would still like to see this Fridjonsson getting a shot up front, apparantly he is wrecking the deck in training.

Kevybhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

I would rather see Fridjonsson get a chance also, not like us to go for a striker in his 30's he also only scored 8 goals this season I believe no good enough, the c/b Morrison getting good right up's where as a lot of boro fans would seem delighted to get rid of Williams as his form has been shocking.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jan 2014 13:24:52
The post about the nfl scouting was it not a joke, NFL American football

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - NFL=Neil Francis Lennon. The link with Yann Kermorgant is nothing new either, he was an option and was scouted but we signed Miku and Lassad instead. If you use the search function you should find posts about him from 2012.}

Honestly have to laugh at the strikers we are looking at, we need a quality striker. Not Griffiths who is SPL at best, nor Kermorgant, he wouldn't even be good enough for Sevco. These english lower league players are not what we want or need.

Celtic Park will be a ghost town if these are the types of player to be signed.

Attendances are already falling, doesn't matter how loyal a fan you are, no one will waste hard earned money to watch players not fit enough to wear the Celtic jersey. And before any says we got Gary Hooper, yes there is always 1 player that will shine just remember where there was a Hooper there was Miku, Lassad, Bangoura with 3 untested players in Pukki, Balde and Fridjonson. So 1 good striker out of 7 to date proves we have to spend big on a proven goalscorer.

Agree1 Disagree1

23 Jan 2014 15:53:48
not so sure about morrison or williams. would be happier with our youth in there as both look suspect at many basic things. we have lustig and mulgrew who can play cb also so no need for these two. if we are after a cb please a bit better quality than this lenny

i believe we aren't after any of these players and its just lazy journo although I remember yann was scouted about 2 and half years ago but its a lb we need

Agree0 Disagree0

I still reckon that LB is Alex Buttner, not Manchester United class (whatever that is these days, sorry Ed) but definitely good enough to hold his own for us domestically, and probably in Europe. Can't imagine him costing us much more than £3.5m - seemed a cracking player at Vitesse but hardly cut it in the EPL?

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jan 2014 20:01:37
A realise lennons name edd, was meaning a Thot green lantern post was maybe a joke " didn't realise the nfl were looking at fitbaw players" maybe not but
