Jungle Bhoy. {Ed007's Note - It looks like watching Freddie Krueger in black and white!!!}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Spot on

Agree3 Disagree1

Would rather it was black and green hoops instesd of black and grey, think that would look cool

BarryBhoy

Agree1 Disagree0

Hi, first time poster here, i have 3 pics of the new celtic strips for you to view and also a pic of cisse at paradise wearing the hoops, how do i post them? {Ed007's Note - Upload them using the Sightings button on your right of the screen, and welcome aboard.}

jellyfish fee agreed with west ham 7.2m? you hear anyhtn ed? they might nip salihi for 500k.me no likey! green jhedi {Ed007's Note - It's on Twatter but I haven't heard if it is true or not. I thought LFC were ready to 'swoop' ;-)

Believable3 Unbelievable10

If true

Big Sam is on the glue
£7.2m for jellyfish
or if he joins the Hammers jellied eels
Bhaldrick {Ed007's Note - Allardyce is one of the worst managers in football. I've seen better games at Accies than any of his teams ever played in. Mike Bassett was surely based on him!}

Agree7 Disagree2

I dont know what all this Hype is about for Jelly Fish. OK he has scored a few goals for Rangers, but if you look at his international record he is p1ss poor. Just shows that when he comes up against a half decent defender the guy is useless

Agree6 Disagree4

23 Jan 2012 22:18:57
think we should go for jon walters from stoke hes quick and strong would do a great turn up here

Believable2 Unbelievable10

Y would he leave a team like stoke who are doing fantastic this season to come to us , total non starter

daviebhoy08

Agree8 Disagree2

Get a grip Davy it won't be long till they're back treading water in the championship where Jon Walters real level is

Agree4 Disagree4

Jon Walters is a good player, but he doesnt score enough goals. He suits Stoke because of the style of their team - Most of them are over 6ft2 and big bruisers, whereas most of the hoops team barely reach 5ft10

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jan 2012 22:08:12
Another one mentioned ,Jorge Molina 29yrs 1 in 3 ratio 6'2" ? could be the ticket ?.

Believable6 Unbelievable3

I don't think we should be looking at 29 year olds!
CB {Ed007's Note - I don't know CB Jessica Biel is worth looking at, or so I've been told ;-)

Agree6 Disagree2

23 Jan 2012 22:00:34
Ed, What do you think about Bas Dost? 6ft 5in CF who plays for Herenveen; 29 goals in 50 matches. He'd be a great signing
Greetings from Spain {Ed007's Note - Great big player and one of the coolest names in football IMO.}

Believable5 Unbelievable0

Any chance of signing? {Ed007's Note - I doubt it, sorry.}

Agree2 Disagree0

Aye, I journalists dream of a name that one eh
CB

Agree1 Disagree0

Andy Ritchie ex celt and Morton player
apparently his nickname around Media circles was

Mabawza
lol

Bhaldrick

Agree2 Disagree1

Bhaldrick: i played in a reserve game against him at morton n he had the coolest nickname... the idle idol!!! if you ever seen him play you'd know why. green jhedi

Agree0 Disagree0

I have seen him play and correct me if im wrong mate.but he turned Miller and McLeish more times than a well done steak and smashed it past Leighton at cappielow in a pair of Samba's as i think the ground was covered in snow
Bhaldrick

Agree1 Disagree1

Bang on bhalders! a cup tie i think at morton i remember watchin on telly.great spot mate. green jhedi

The big eejit Bothroyd from QPR is doing the rounds again !.Any truth in it anyone ?TTTS

Believable2 Unbelievable11

The truth is he's an overpaid mouthpiece fudd, who ain't even a good player to boot lol.
CB

Agree10 Disagree0

I seen him at Glasgow airport earlier? {Ed007's Note - Obviously a planet misalignment was interfering with the camera on your mobile.}

Agree6 Disagree3

Indeed agree , but is NL still interested? Any inkings ed?. TTTS {Ed007's Note - I have an ACAB tattoo on my forehead, does that count? No mate I think that boat has sailed, he was looking for 65k a week in the summer.}

Agree3 Disagree0

He's merd

Agree4 Disagree0

Ha ,a sense of humour .Need one I suspose to read and answer some of the posts . ps luck your inking isnt a "I LOVE RFC " tat {Ed007's Note - That would have been some party.....and trial.}

Agree1 Disagree0

23 Jan 2012 21:25:39
reckon celtic should put in a bid for cameron jerome of stoke city. not been starting recently. he is well over 6ft and extremely fast for his height. think he would be the perfect striker to play along side hooper up front . thoughts ?

Believable1 Unbelievable11

No way - for a striker doesn't get enough goals. Wouldn't touch him.

is the Djibril Cisse rumour true? {Ed007's Note - Yes it is true that it is a rumour.}

Sorry Ed, I know this might be quite unrealistic, but do you think there's any chance of this reported Bundesliga striker being Pavel Pogrebnyak of Stuttgart? he's had a rough season...just 1 goal in 14 apps but he's still quality and could defo do a job up here {Ed007's Note - I have no idea.}

Believable1 Unbelievable6

Those sort of stats are the the "quality" we need

Agree2 Disagree3

Pogrebnyak looked a cracking player when he was with zenit in the russian leauge. not heard much of him in the last few years but would do a job in scotland no question. reckon the wages would make it a non-starter though.

sydney celt

Agree2 Disagree0

Yeah Sydney Celt, and to the first replying poster I only said those stats to show that he wasnt having a good season and so maybe needs a confidence boost...if he came to a club on loan with a real chance of getting us over the line in all 3 competitions we are in then he could leave with 3 medals and potentially 15 goals under his belt

Agree0 Disagree0

Would be a great signing,heard stuggart want to offload him,so could bea chance in this one.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jan 2012 20:04:26
Ed, if we win the league, do we have to qualify for the CL? Or do we automatically go to the group stages? I've heard both, I personally think we need to qualify, though i don't know how many to reach the group stages. {Ed007's Note - Both first and second place in the SPL enter at the 3rd qualifying stage next season.}

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Is that an arsenal or tottenham then? {Ed007's Note - I don't know. I have no idea what you are looking or pointing at.}

Agree0 Disagree0

When did they change that rule ED? Cause it was only the top team that qualified last year ae? {Ed007's Note - It changes according to the country's coefficient.}

Agree0 Disagree1

Would that put us in the same qualifying stage as an arsenal or tottenham? 4th in EPL {Ed007's Note - It could, there is a champions route, and a runners-up route.}

Agree1 Disagree0

23 Jan 2012 19:55:23
evenin ed i was doin a wee bit of browsin the players that are out of contract in 2012 so i checked for this striker from guimaraes from portugal hes rated at £2miil + and i youtubed him and he looks like the guy we need so have a look fokes and see wot u think,stef1967. {Ed007's Note - Are you keeping his name a secret Stef?}

Believable1 Unbelievable1

You talking about Marcelo Toscano ( Bolton are interested ) or the other Brazilian Edgar?

Agree2 Disagree0

No i meant to post his name as the poster above says the guys name EDGAR he looks really good on last defenders and in the air,have a look at him ed,stef1967 {Ed007's Note - I've seen him before Stef. He's a great player, but Brazilians/South Americans tend to struggle over here.}

Agree3 Disagree0

Last post of the nite,ed you just wonder why they cant adapt to our game,stef1967,the weekend has caught up wi me pure shatterd nottin worse when you get up at 5,30am for work.goodnite ed and all the bhoys.wsnbm. {Ed007's Note - People say it is the weather etc. Not many Brazilian players settle in the UK game at all IMO. Look at Anderson from Man Utd? J-Lo saw him at a party and said 'Check the size of his ass out!!}

Agree1 Disagree0

23 Jan 2012 19:42:34
If we are off-loading a couple or loaning out the usual suspects in the next week or so? Why not have a punt on Templeton (Hearts) Snodgrass (Leeds) who is un-settled and big Holt (Norwich)
who is rough round the edges but does a job.
Another guy who could do a turn is Sammon of Wigan who is not a regular starter at Wigan.
We could wheel and deal a few fringe players to finance this and there are goals in that lot....

Jungle Jim

Believable1 Unbelievable10

Sammon?you serious?

Agree7 Disagree0

Thats why we have all these usual suspects , instead of paying for one good player we go for the cheaper average at best players

Agree5 Disagree0

I agree with you there mate! All decent players in my opinion! Really do need to get rid off the non contributors!!
Pickle

Agree2 Disagree0

Sammon

i would welcome him at Celtic as much as i would be by taking a tin of Red Salmon to a We dont eat tinned Fish convension

Bhaldrick

Agree1 Disagree0

To unknown contributor:- I mentioned Sammon as NL was keen on him before and no worse than Sutton and Daly mentioned on here earlier IMO.
Anyway all three would overtake Samaras Celtic total goals tally in around a month.

Jungle Jim

Agree1 Disagree1

20 goals before he left for wigan score more with amount of chances you lot make

Why? when we can p1ss ourselves laughing at yours. {Ed007's Note - Schadenfreude ;-)

Believable3 Unbelievable2

Youv got to laugh at some people Ed, 'worry about your own team' he says. What the hell is he doin on the celtic thread lmao

Celticthomas {Ed007's Note - Irony hasn't reached Govan yet.}

Agree3 Disagree2

Irony hasn't reached Govan yet but when they hear he might be available on a Bosman....

Agree6 Disagree1

Ed007: irony has reached govan theres a great scrap yard behind ipox, great prices for copper,brass and irony! green jhedi

Agree3 Disagree3

Irony to go on trail at ipox, but unlikely to pay his own signing on fee

Agree2 Disagree2

Plenty of Brass's round Ibrox, Mate got had a good time with one on friday lol

Ed
i heard today that no First team Celtic players will be available for the GB Olympic circus team as the dates clash with next seasons Champions league qualifiers,Hopefully that will end the nonsense of who might be as Henry Kelly used to say.... Going For Gold

Bhaldrick {Ed007's Note - I hope so Bhaldrick. The whole idea is a complete shambles.}

Believable5 Unbelievable2

Thats means that any rangers player is available as a big doubt on them having European football next season lol.also the same guy who is an ex player and played a long side and good friend of Chris McCart and Stevie Woods when he was at Motherwell that the target from the bundesliga is almost complete and could be here before the weekend no names exchanged however he did say he wasnt German

Bhaldrick

Agree0 Disagree1

They can stick team GB up their ass

Agree7 Disagree2

Celtic cant deny any players the chance to play tho. U wud expect the players to know where their priorities lie and refuse any invitation due to the champs league qualifiers.

Drew

Agree2 Disagree1

Drew

when a player is selected for his national team it is by invite not request be it friendly or full international and he has the right to refuse,Stephen Fletcher Anthony Stokes being a few of many examples. However i do agree with you on players knowing were there priorities lie and im lead to believe Neil Lennon has spoke with players already about this.

Bhaldrick

23 Jan 2012 18:02:30
why done we sign sanddancer he will score lots of goals in our team
and too sign him would work it right up fat sally......

Believable0 Unbelievable8

Why sign a player that is worse than what we alreday have. We should sign players that are beeter than what we alreday have.

Agree12 Disagree1

23 Jan 2012 17:36:37
It appears that Rangers revival is to be driven by developing land around Ibrox that they don't even own. What's to stop another developer (Mr Desmond ?)from acquiring this land and reaping the profit?The council owns most of the land and may want to develop it themselves.

Paddy Malarkey

Believable6 Unbelievable4

Worry about ure own team pal

Agree3 Disagree6

Glasgow Housing Association have alreday confirmed that they are not prepared to enter into any dealings with Rangers for the development of land.

Agree4 Disagree4

Would you enter into any dealings with rankers???? green jhedi

Agree3 Disagree2

Green Jhedi

deal with any of they crooks ?

Hi ed just a few players i think celtic should try there luck with would like your thoughts and opinions i shall start of with khouma babacar who is 6ft 3in i think he should try get him on loan as i dont think he is getting his game with fiorentina and is seen as a future star the other two are jelle vossen from genk who has scored 17 goals so far this season and is only 23? And also marko arnautovic from werder bremen who is only 22? {Ed007's Note - They are all good young players. Although Arnautovic is described as the Austrian Ronaldo (I hope that isn't racist!!!) because of his off field lifestyle.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

23 Jan 2012 17:16:05
Rabiu Ibrahim has completed his move to celtic today after securing a work permit.

BarryBhoy

Believable10 Unbelievable1

Ed - any idea what Rabiu Ibrahim's fitness levels are. Would like to see him getting a place on the bench a.s.a.p. {Ed007's Note - His fitness seems fine. I think he could get a place on the bench at least in the coming weeks.}

Agree4 Disagree1

He tired after about an hour in the game he played but was supposedly very talented. green jhedi

Agree1 Disagree2

23 Jan 2012 16:37:28
Hi Ed, first time on this page. I would like to see Johnny Russell from Dundee UTD. He is still young, maybe I'm wrong but I think he hate r*ngers so in the old firms he will fight for every ball and that the kind of players we need. What you think of him? {Ed007's Note - Welcome to the site. I don't know about Russell, he is young but isn't very prolific. My DU supporting mate rates him though.}

Believable7 Unbelievable2

Would have to agree with you there his work rate is fantastic and in the recent game at celtic park i thought he was one of the best players on the park and his pace troubled the celtic defence.

Agree2 Disagree1

Well i know for a fact the boy would walk to paradise! be surprised if lenny dznt sign him in summer.think he might have 18 months left on DU contract. green jhedi {Ed007's Note - His contract is up in summer 2013, you're right Jhedi>

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree would b a gd signing but n its a big but where would he play n who in front of?2 much competition 4 places in midfield already n he wouldnt start ahead of starsky n hutch up front hail hail IS1888

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jan 2012 16:27:37
Not a rumour..! But i think big Marco Streller who plays for Basel would be the perfect striker to partner either Stokes or Hooper. He has a fantastic scoring record for Basel scoring 55 goals in 119 games. He is a 6ft 5inc target man which is exactly what we need. One of our past targets Alexander Frei has brilliant partnership with him and Frei is a similar player to both Stokes And Hooper :). Only thing i can see wrong with the player is that he is 30 and Celtic might be looking for a younger kind of player too invest in for future income.

Hail Hail.

Conroy777

Believable7 Unbelievable3

I think he's the right sort of age the hoops need as Lenny was talking about bring experiance in as there's already plenty of youth in the team

Agree4 Disagree0

23 Jan 2012 14:37:48
was speaking to an old acquaintance this morning trying to see if he had any gossip. nothing that we haven't already heard on here....cf/german league. mjallby had a dossier on 6 players when he was over in germany a few weeks ago, Fojut & Ibrahim were 2 of them, Barrios apparently another.

one thing he did say was that the board have promised Lenny a 'considerable' transfer kitty if he performed as well as they expected, and they're delighted so far.
i asked how much 'considerable' was and he heard it was around 6-7m.

he also said that if it was to come to fruition that rangers wouldn't be granted a UEFA licence, then the board would also look at doubling that amount on the basis that we would have pretty much the entirity of european money. they have realised that they made mistakes in the past couple of years and we should realistically be looking at 7 or 8 in a row by now, and they really want to hammer this down.

ED, have you had any sniff of UEFA's take on this yet? i know what's written in the statutes but how and when would they come to a decision? {Ed007's Note - I imagine it will be when the licence application is passed from the SFA to UEFA after qualification is clarified at the end of the season. UEFA should be aware of the concerns already.}

Believable14 Unbelievable2

Cheers Ed. {Ed007's Note - No probs buddy.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I think you have to apply for a license in december for the coming season. At that time they were still in dispute so will more than likely have been granted a license already as they 'technically' were not owe any money at that time and the case was still pending.

Clever tactic to start the proceedings in January? hmm {Ed007's Note - Liability for the 'wee tax case' had been accepted by Murray and Whyte as part of the written statement of the takeover. Licences are granted after the league finishes (who knows who will qualify??), December 31st of the previous year is the date that finances have to be considered regarding the licence. Rangers owed money to HMRC on 31st December 2010. Part of the 31st December ruling is also that you have to disclose any financial troubles that could happen in the coming year.}

Agree1 Disagree2

I reckon with the fact that they haven't had their accounts signed off, and the fact they also admitted liability to the 'wee' tax case would be enough for UEFA to deny a licence.

regardless of whether whyte is now disputing the wee case, he's already admitted to it, but is now just disputing the fine.

this is probably one of the reasons why they are asking for season ticket money up front, and for all transfers to be paid up front as well (which is a cheek considering they still owe for numerous players on their book).

to be honest, i can see them running out of money long before the season ends, especially if they don't sell anyone in the next week

Agree5 Disagree0

23 Jan 2012 13:49:07
Awrite Ed! On the Bundesliga striker do you think it could be the young Dutch striker Pierre-Michel Lasogga of Leverkusen?
Think I heard his name mentioned last week on here but haven't heard anything since.
HH
/BB {Ed007's Note - I'd be delighted if it was.}

Believable5 Unbelievable0

Sorry not Dutch... German! LOL
HH
/BB {Ed007's Note - I never noticed you typed that either lol.}

Agree2 Disagree0

Given the clear strategy on purchasing potential with sell on value, neither of these meet that, show ambition!!!!!!

Agree0 Disagree1

Not sure if you've posted in the right place mate, but if you have then let me explain.
Lasogga is one of the hottest propects in German football today. If, and that's a big IF, we where looking at him it would be an outstanding signing.
The purchasing potential with sell on value is the one that makes me think you have posted in the wrong place though as this lad would probably set us back at least £3M (guess-timate), but his potential value would be huge.
I guess what I am saying is.. HE'D DO FOR ME!
Ed might be able to enlighten you on this lad.
HH
/BB {Ed007's Note - Plus he only turned 20 last month. I would guess he would cost £3-5 million, might be miles out with that though. It is hard to guess fees the way the market is BB.}

Agree1 Disagree0

Lenny has already said he wants some experience and someone who has been over the course before so doubt it'll be some young bhoy he gets this time, I expect a 29- 30 year old not a johnny Russell or German kid

Agree3 Disagree0

23 Jan 2012 12:48:54
Does anyone think John Sutton or big Daly would be a useful signing as a target man? Garry Sean

Believable4 Unbelievable16

I'd rather bring chris sutton back, but i will say something about john, he does have a dedicated fan club

Agree7 Disagree1

Are you serious ?

Agree6 Disagree1

Sutton would be decent, what about Chong Tese from Bochum? (The guy who plays for North Korea and cried at National anthem vs Brazil)

Agree1 Disagree5

Daly looks decent and nos how 2 play in spl. Does any1 no how much he would cost and what kind of wage he would want.

Agree1 Disagree0

John Daly would be available for between £300K-£500K. Coming from Dundee utd, i'd say his wage demands would not be High at all

Agree5 Disagree0

We never got fletcher now look how good he has turned out daly looks a handful at united so how would he look at Celtic with plenty service

Agree4 Disagree2

I would rather watch Morrissey recite Shakespeare than have any of those two wear the hoops

Bhaldrick

23 Jan 2012 12:47:38
As a season ticket holder at cp I think a cheeky wee bid of 4million for jelavic would be good.he's what we need in a striker.before use come on moanin that's why the game is in a bad state with bigotry etc.we need to get by the us and them and pick players who will benefit Celtic! Rusty hail hail {Ed007's Note - Nothing to do with bigotry, he is less mobile than a one legged man with cramp. He would not fit into CFC's style of play at all.}

Believable6 Unbelievable12

Two reasons not to bid for jelavic, he would not fit into our style of play and theres no way that he would choose to stay in our league if liverpool are knocking on his door! :)

Agree2 Disagree0

Y would we spend 4m on a player 2 sit on the bench?

Richybhoy

Agree7 Disagree3

I think we should offer £3.50 and some jaffa cakes for goian

Agree8 Disagree2

I get that Celtic fans slate rangers players, but anyone who knows anything about football, knows that jelavic a pretty decent striker. I for one would much rather have him than samaras. He is terrible. Plus goian may not be the best defender in the world but he is twice the centre half mulgrew will ever be. Don't mind banter but at least pretend you know about football. How sad {Ed007's Note - We don't need a 'decent' striker though, most teams and fans want good players, not just decent. Whatever happened to the Man Utd, Chelsea etc bids that were being prepared? I wonder when LFC will 'pull out' of the fabled deal as well.}

Agree2 Disagree6

Goian is better than any defender u have {Ed007's Note - Earth shattering insight there, backed up by top notch stats and knowledge. Well done.}

Agree3 Disagree3

I said this a week ago we should bid for jelivic,him and hooper would be a very good partnership.i am also a cp season tkt holder,as for mulgrew i think he has been much better than anyone expected,he is also improving all the time.

Agree3 Disagree2

Have to disagree with you on that Ed. Jelavic would walk into the Celtic team. Are you trying to tell me Stokes and Samarass are suited to Celtic's "style of play" better than Jelavic??

TTG {Ed007's Note - Try to read what I said rather than what I didn't.}

Agree1 Disagree3

Maybe there is some truth in signing Jellyfish and thats what he really meant when he said the league was sewn up. LOL

Agree3 Disagree0

Come on ed I know regular celtic posters can act like jelavic wouldnt get in the celtic team but an in-form jelavic is better than an IF hooper and stokes and for you to say he isnt mobile? he is faster more moblie and has scored MUCH better goals than hooper and stokes. and as for goian he would walk into that celtic team and please dont try and say he wouldnt. all other eds arent bias but just another typical celtic fan i guess ... and i dont expect you to post this either. {Ed007's Note - LMAO All other Eds are bias towards their team. That is why they edit their pages, think about it for God's sake, typical Rangers fan eh?. After that statement I won't even bother answering you.}

Agree3 Disagree5

Goian is starting to get a bit exposed mate! his lack of pace is the obvious weakness to his game. green jhedi

Agree3 Disagree1

Do me a favour and watch big doris against falkirk in league cup too slow positioning all over the place and very cynical in the tackles he makes he should have been sent off last week

Agree1 Disagree0

23 Jan 2012 12:18:31
Ive been reading lots about us going for a target man and its always a worry going for a foreign player that we dont kniow much of...why nt go for by john sutton, think he would do a good job for us and the wage demand wouldnt be too high, i think the big man is a cracking target man and chips in with goals aswell. What you think bhoys?

Believable3 Unbelievable5

Take daly before sutton. green jhedi

Agree4 Disagree4

Wouldn`t want either, we should be looking for better players, keir

Agree8 Disagree1

23 Jan 2012 11:39:45
hello,

question regarding juarez (for ed / anyone with info).

in my opinion he looks fairly decent who im sure could have been called upon a few times this season had he not been ot on loan. do you thin i heard he was sent out on loan due to a fallout over the braga game? game! could you shed any light on weher you think he will be sold in summer?

joecfc88 {Ed007's Note - I think he will be moved on ASAP Joe.}

Believable3 Unbelievable1

I have heard he is a bad boy and not what CFC require of their employees. This is as much to do with him moving as his ability or lack thereof. Of course it may be nonsense but its public knowledge that he was involved in a discipline breech with Mexico regarding a party that got out of hand....

Agree1 Disagree0

I think Juarez will be the first in the long Lines of fringe players to go, we'll just have to Chalk it up to experience ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah I've heard he likes to party and he's been frozen out since the Mexican "scandal". I say let them have their fun seeing as they were out of the competition anyway but whatever. I also think he'll end up a top class player and we'll regret moving him on but manager's decision I suppose...

In fairness most other players of late with bad off-the-field habits have suffered somewhat. Stokes has sat out numerous games, there're always rumours about McCourt and Rasmussen (although not in the same way and I don't think it's the primary reason they're not in the team anyway), and Riordan a few years back.

IMO even footballers should be allowed to let loose once or twice every week or two but then I'm not the manager.

Agree0 Disagree0

There's letting loose and letting loose. We are not talking about a night out with the boys that gets a little out of hand. Its much more serious than that.

arite first time posting two questions
1. would u sell forrest if got near 10
million
2. my mate works down south and
says theres rumour celtic trying to
get kevin davies on loan for 6month
heard anything bout tht ed {Ed007's Note - A few people are saying that about Davies, I would doubt it TBH. And I wouldn't sell Forrest yet. He needs to be playing regularly and I don't think he would do that for Spurs just now.}

Believable1 Unbelievable2

100 goals in 600 games and hes 34 id leave that one alone

Agree7 Disagree2

No.

and

No.

The board would never release that money back to be spent on players.

Agree4 Disagree1

Celtic won't get £10m for James Forrest........

TTG {Ed007's Note - You know this how........? A player is worth what a club will pay for them. That is how transfers work.}

Agree5 Disagree0

Ed, your too quick to bite man. You bite harder than any of the other posters on here lol. It's only banter......

TTG {Ed007's Note - If you think that is banter I would advise you to stick to more serious aspects of your life. Have you considered a job where you work yourself with no human contact? Maybe working with animals or lighthouse keeping. I bet you are a barrel of laughs at parties.}

Agree0 Disagree0

OUCH! Thats a nasty bite you have there Ed. I did, however, have a job were I worked myself, had to quit after I started talking to myself.......

TTG {Ed007's Note - So you bore even yourself?}

y does evey one keep talkin about hooper when stokes has scored the same amount of goals i feel hes just as good , what value would u guys but on stokes if some one was to come in for him no less than 5 mil ??
kenneth

Believable11 Unbelievable0

Why even speak about selling any of our first team. keep them all, move out the fringe players who are not playing. we have a good young squad, but maybe need one or two players with a bit of experience

heard chinese striker Yang Changpeng - 2.05m - (6ft8½)
is on trail at celtic he is without a club hes 22 , hes not scored much goals but think hes only started 5 games in is career he was dubbed the peter crouch of china when he was at bolton in 2006 for a month , im not keen on peter at all but dont think this guy would fit in coz i think all chinese players are to weak for the spl kenneth

Believable6 Unbelievable5

Bit racist, nevermind. if we had a player like peter crouch he would have came on after 45minutes against st.mirren. can score you a goal when the football isn't 'attractive'. exactly what you need in a title run in. {Ed007's Note - That's not racist in the slightest.}

Agree3 Disagree4

So he's too weak because he's chinese? or because he's not good enough? {Ed007's Note - Well the Chinese race aren't noted for superhuman strength or physical presence are they.}

Agree1 Disagree0

For me the only problem with signing a Chinese player is two hours later you want to sign another one (ouch) Timalloy

Agree1 Disagree3

Surely to long at a race and pick on the flaws is the definition of racism. The original poster is stating that all Chinese players are to weak to play in the SPL. What about ZZ for us, he could more than hold his own! I think you are wrong RE the original post Ed and it should probably be removed. {Ed007's Note - Get a life mate. Seriously. There is nothing at all racist in that comment what so ever. PC b*llocks gone haywire. People are too quick to jump on any tiny thing that may cause offence. Maybe you should take up a hobby or try boring someone else. Scots like a drink and greasy/takeaway food, is that racist? The medical statistics that are readily available back it up.}

Agree3 Disagree0

Bruce lee had superhuman strength ed! don't think he was much of a footballer though haha. ZZ was rubbish for us and then there was the mighty du wei!

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said Ed!. Too much nonsense by the PC brigade means that genuine cases get missed. Enough said {Ed007's Note - Exactly. Some people are just so gullible they get wrapped up nonsense.}

Agree0 Disagree1

Could be percieved as racist but certainly wasn't intended to be racist - just a sweeping and probably erroneous generalisation. I'd say "ignorance" rather than "racism" would be a more accurate descriptor.

Last Chinese player we had was Zheng Zhi. Not the greatest player we ever signed but he was no lightweight, just barely got an opportunity and showed little bar his debut. By contrast Nakamura (yeah I know he's Japanese) was a total lightweight but a quality player.

As for signing the guy - no harm in having a look and certainly no harm in looking at a Chinese player if it increases Celtic's reputation and fanbase abroad.

Players looking to be moved on either this window or summer.

Just wondering how much we would trim off the wage bill. Feel free to comment.

I would keep mark wilson and rasmusen , get rid of the rest theres a few others i would get rid of too

Agree4 Disagree7

Thats about 50-75k a week by ma reckonig, doubt any them will go unfortunatly.
mcdab

Agree0 Disagree1

I'd keep none of them, get a few million in and save £40k - £50k a week easily

Agree2 Disagree1

Would have to add jaurez in too, he alone would free up £25k {Ed007's Note - Juarez is only on £7500 a week.}

Agree4 Disagree0

Why keep Rasmussen?, he's clearly not good enough.

Agree5 Disagree0

I feel sorry for mark wilson i think hes a gr8 player , our best player the tail end of last season pitty hes to injury prone

Agree6 Disagree1

McGinn will be away also. Mark Wilson should be Kept as he is a good squad player and can play anywhere across the back

Agree4 Disagree4

Keep Mark Wilson. Hes part of the culture of the club. Its obvious his body is not up to a full season or anything like, but you need characters and loyal people around who love the club, he falls into that category. If we get even 10 games a season from him then it will be money well spent because he gives the right stuff on and off the field. He is still a relatively young guy and I would hate to see him leave; as for the rest O'Dea is a great lad IMHO not least because he allegedly stopped wee McGeady gettin a bleachin' outside a Glasgow night club a few years back....Call me a big softie but I would keep DO'D as well.

Agree4 Disagree0

Also add samaras,he has ability but does not fit into this celtic team at all,commons on the left offers much more to the team in goals and assists

Why are people on talking about signing a new forward, we are top of the league with the ones we have.

Believable3 Unbelievable6

Coz if anything happens tae hooper or stokes we only have one striker and sammy left, nuff said
mcdab

Agree7 Disagree1

We need to have different option. Our strikers do not score nearly enough goals i the air. A target man provides an outlet when playing against more physical teams or on poor surfaces. Did any1 see sportscene last nite? Rugby park pitch was a disgrace.

Apparently we are in discussions with Real Betis for Jorge Molina, Hope its true, he is a cracking centre forward, strong, direct and a good scoring record, would absolutely stroll through the SPL and wouldn't cost too much with Betis being almost bankrupt and having to sell to stay afloat.

Believable12 Unbelievable1

Wasn't he in spiderman 2?

Agree1 Disagree0

Powerfull player. £2milion is a good price for him and should be a good player for a few seasons yet. come on Celtic, get him in before the last day.

Agree6 Disagree1

I hate when people say they would stroll the SPL. SPL is a hard league playing for Celtic and rangers. Can't see this guy being a 20 goals a season. Just wait and see before going on about stroll the SPL!!!

Agree3 Disagree0

When u say apparently, do u really just mean uv made this up then posted it.?

Agree0 Disagree2

I say stroll it in the SPL because he scores goals in a far superior league on a regular basis, he scores goals against wee diddy teams like BARCELONA, he has scored more than 20 goals per season most of his career, so scoring 20+ per season is the norm for him, maybe your right, maybe he would struggle against our world beating league teams. DOH!! I hate when people talk a lot of utter garbage about players they have neither seen nor heard of

Agree3 Disagree0

UMMMMMMMMMM I say apparently because , funnily enough, I was not actually present at any talks and therefore can't say for certain that it's a FACT . I think the title of the forum might give you a clue ....its a RUMOURS page ..you know .things that may or may not be true that kind of thing

Agree3 Disagree0

Molina has been scoring 20+ goals per season, however 6 years of this was spent in the part time conference league version in Spain. This year is his first in a top division, and despite the fact he has scored a few goals against the likes of Real Madrid he is still no proven to suit the style of football in Scotland, and neither is most spainish players. I.E Juanma Ortiz for Rangers was hyped up to be a decent player - but he is awful.
