I wouldn't even except that Rangers titles in 03 and 05 were tainted. We had it in our hands on both occasions and threw it away, time to put all this nonsense to bed.

Ok no problem .....billy
Use our rumours form to send us celtic transfer rumours.

Is it true Traynor called lawell a liar ed? if so can we expect a court case for the wee runt? {Ed007's Note - Yes although I never heard it, I avoid radio phone in shows, they are the Jeremy Vyle Show of the footballing world.}
01 Mar 2012 21:37:47
Petert Lawwell and all celtic staff and fans should simply boycott everything Jim Traynor is involved with ,just ignore this idiot and don't get dragged into his and the admins seedy world, lets face it they're all upset because the big hoose is closing as my old man used to say empty vessells the lot of them.

If the Rangers players are willing to take a 75% paycut to save jobs the i take my hat off to them , it will be very a difficult decision for players like Steve Davis and Alan McGregor to drop over £20,000 a week , they will show themselves to be good honest human beings and should be commended for their actions , pity the individuals responsible for putting the club in the financial mire , David Murray , Craig Whyte and other prominent members of the board are not so selfless and honest . Drewzybhoy .
Whilst a 75% cut is commendable I'd not comment Davis etc as they will still be earning well over other SPL players. If you want to praise anyone think of those on £2000 pw. 75% cut there will really hurt so I'd say its they who deserve praise.
To be honest davis and mcgregor are better players so command a higher wage, fee ect, u cant just say he earns 25k pw he can afford to lose it. so the better player you are the more ur able to loss? not sure about that logic!
Sorry mate, I remember way back when Fergus stepped in, and remember we were not in administration, they were waving notes when we played them at Ibroke and then there was the hearse going up London Rd with Celtic RIP. No sympathy.
If the rangers players take a pay cut id have to take my hat off to them, it would show a real respect for the game which many modern footballers are lacking. if they loved the club then I am sure a lot would do it, even up until the end of the season however we will see who is willing to make the sacrifice. God forbid celtic were put in this position but i wonder who would step up and take a pay cut, im sure neil lennon would but wouldnt be too sure about the rest?
Aye right ...... how are they gonnae manage on 7 grand a week
It's just a 75% cut deferred until the end of the season when they will get there money back, so I wouldn't be praising them to much, they need the cuts right now just to stay afloat, I'm assuming they think at the end of the season they will have things sorted to be able to pay all those who took cuts.

Whilst I totally agree with mr lawell about the ticket money, I would like to see us do something that would benefit us and them.
Let's bring back the Glasgow cup, 2 leg old firm game, would definately generate some cash for both teams.
Bowbhoy
How about ground sharing Parkhead. Eliminate bigots from both clubs; Reduce Rangers costs and allow them to sell their assets. We gain regular income. Improve both club's standards. No brainer. They can do it in Milan why not here? Be brave! bite the bullet now.
The Glasgow cups never been away and why do we need to something to benefit them . They got themselves into this mess so why should we help them out .......DH
Aye right lets help the Rangers out just like they done for us in 94, get a grip.............Stevie
Cause the world needs two more old firm games per season
We are not old firm hail hail
Help rangers. i dont think so . i dont remember rangers being sympathetic when we were in financial troubles in 1994.
Four teams in Glasgow, three with Stadiums bigger than 50000. So Why Parkhead? Rather play at Hampden and give Queens Park some money.

If the manky mob go into liquidation 2moz, how can the get back in the spl would the change names? Still be playin from ipox? And what about there "history" what happens to that? {Ed007's Note - The SPL board can vote them back in, they can play at Ibrox but there would be no history.}
What is the likely hood that they will be voted back in?
Well, if i was the chairman of any of the other spl clubs that has a debt, i would watch with anticipation that rangers get straight back into the spl after liquidation and all debt wiped. i would then follow suit and wind my club up too and clear all my debt. goose and gander comes to mind and i'm sure all those premiership teams in engurland would try it too.
get right into the bottom league and work your way up you tax dodging lot!!
frankiebhoy
Ed, how could they play at Ibrox if (for example) a property developer bought Ibrox and bulldozed it? {Ed007's Note - That is not going to happen.}
If they go into liquidation won't they try to sell everything to pay creditors? I think the facier of ibrox is heritage listed but developers could build behind this perhaps? Just take down signs referring to Rangers.
01 Mar 2012 20:19:05
Hi ed, you heard anything about Rangers being liquidated tomorrow? {Ed007's Note - It's been happening every other day so far this week so why not tomorrow as well? The administrators are still working so until they know the full picture it is all speculation. It could be tomorrow, it could be Tuesday, or, and there is still a possibility, it might never happen.}
01 Mar 2012 20:04:10
If Rangers are liquidated and come back for the start of 12 / 13 season, they could apply for the vacant SPL place they would have just vacated.
Their only problem would be getting all 11 teams to agree.
Dunfermline, Dundee United and Motherwell are all owed money.
I would think they would not vote for their re-entry unless they were all paid what they were owed. {Ed007's Note - It is the five man SPL board who decide, not all teams get a vote.}
I think if they are liquidated it would be an automatic start in the lowest division and they would have to work their way up.
They could reapply for the position as the ed says... im sure second plave first division would fight the decision however
01 Mar 2012 19:34:02
lot of speculation that liquidation is on the agenda tomorrow.dont know if i believe it or not,but lot of texts from friends of friends etc,doing the rounds.anyone else any info?artybhoy

Jim Traynor on national radio has just called Peter Lawwell a liar and he has proof the agreement
proof of a verbal agreement ?
has he been phone hacking ?
Peter Lawwell now must sue this idiot
Lubo25
We all know where Traynors loyalties lie.
Hail.HAIL
Lubo 25 read down the page that Peter Lawell has wrote a letter to the DR and it was meant to be on the DR website today(cant see it though)and that it would be in the DR tomorrow,sounds strange mate that Lawell would write this letter and Traynors employers would publish it then that idiot calling Lawell a liar,think you are spot on about suing this idiot for trying to blacking our good name as Mr Lawell puts in this letter.MACCA
I came on here with the intention to post this exact thing. This scumbag has always been a joke but now he is stirring up the s**t with the Rangers support already at fever pitch.
I would not be surprised if the moron is directly responsible for violence towards Celtic fans in the next few days/weeks.
Who in their right mind would pay upfront for tickets from a club who cant pay its dues to other teams when money is overdue i.e dunfermline whos players will struggle with bills with only 60% wages? rob the state of tax and want favours from supporters, directors and business men who pay tax and paye?
Traynor is a clown mate, PL wouldn't give him the satisfaction.
I couldnt find the article online either. Until you type open letter into the site search
I would ban him from CP just like what happened to Gerry McNee.
Jungle Bhoy.
The open letter from PL has been pulled all together from the Daily record and Mirror archives.
WHAT IS THIS RAG ACTUALLY PLAYING AT?
01 Mar 2012 18:10:19
wee question ed.if the goons go bust,would the top two teams in div 1 come up,or just the top team with no team relegated from the spl?artybhoy {Ed007's Note - Rangers 'newco' could apply for entry into the SPL.}
Surely thats not fair.so that being the case,other teams,say clydebank,or pollok juniors,could also do the same?just because a place in the leagues becomes availlable?artybhoy {Ed007's Note - Clubs applying must meet SPL criteria.}
So would i be right to say that if rangers are liquidated and a place is available? then hamilton, falkirk and dundee can apply for that place? these clubs meet criteria for spl and can prove income/ outgoings and financial runnings! surely a new club cant provide this unless a billionaire puts the money up front? delm3000 {Ed007's Note - No, they are already members of the SFA/SFL. Rangers 'newco' would not be part of any league and so could apply to join any league they wanted.}

8 rangers players out the door 2moro the rest 2 take 75 prc pay cut durrant first 2 go if 11 go it will only be 50 prc pay cut watch this space .. Mjnh
No, if theres 75% cut it will be no redundancies. 50% cut = 8 redundancies and 23% cut 11 redundancies - BBC
Sorry ur right hail hailmjnh

The open letter will appear on the D***y Record website today (Thursday) and will also be printed in a prominent position in Friday's edition of the newspaper. The letter reads:
Dear Sir,
I am writing with regards to stories which have appeared in the Daily Record over the last few days concerning tickets for the forthcoming match between Celtic and Rangers.
Having not been given the opportunity to comment on these stories prior to them being printed, it is important that Celtic's position is made clear:
'There was no agreement for Celtic to pay in advance for these match tickets. Therefore, the accusation that Celtic 'reneged' on an agreement is wrong.
'The actions of Celtic Football Club have not threatened jobs at Rangers. Any suggestion to the contrary is also wrong.
'There is no 'bust up'. Indeed we are pleased that yesterday (Wednesday) we received our allocation of tickets for the match from the Administrators of Rangers Football Club.
'We will sell these in the normal manner and will abide by the rules of the Scottish Premier League.
While we have no desire to become involved in the business of any other football club, we felt it very important that we set the record straight and in doing so protect the reputation of Celtic Football Club.
Peter Lawwell
Chief Executive
Celtic Football Club

morning ghuys and mrs e.just heard the news from ipox.i really think noise up's should be cancelled today as gers fans i know have realised that liquidation is now very real.remember how we felt when it was us? lets show a bit of class and understanding.people are losing jobs here.players should be ok,but if it starts to cut in to the ordinary workers thats sore.seven players refused a wage defferall.i hope they can live with themselves............green jhedi
Noise ups are on the cards I'm afraid. I for one am not sad to see anyone go. Who would want to work for a club like that considering all that they stand for.
Cheerio Cheerio Cheerio.
No thanks m8, I think im reserving my right to gloat, you have obviously forgot how they treated us when we were in their shoes. The Mhan
Get it right up them
Aye you're right it is sad times for the ordinary workers and the very few decent Rangers fans I know, fair enough. But It's also sad times for the thousands of fans who chanted disgusting songs for 90 minutes at Inverness on Sunday. It's also sad times for the people who sent nail bombs to our manager and who sent bullets to our players. Its sad times for Shug Dalas and "Dougie Dougie Dougie".
I honestly do feel for the working class people from the ticket office, cleaners, groundstaff etc who face unemployment. As for the rest of them, F*ck them, did anyone spare a thought for us? Did the government speak up for us? Roll on Ibrokes because I am gonna have the gloating session of a lifetime!!
Milk lemonade chocolate
Good call m8 lets show a bit of class here,its already affected ,Dunfermline ,Dundee Utd,Hearts and Rapid Vienna.
What about the millions stolen in tax from this club.
Lets think about the number of Drs,nurses,incubators,jobs etc that could have been recruited or bought.
Also due to businesses not paying their proper dues in taxes many elderly folk have to chose between heat or food as the govt dont have the money to increase pensions etc {Ed001's Note - do you really think the Govt would give them more money even if they had it? They would instead pay more to the EU, foreign aid and illegal wars around the world. Old people will never get to see it unfortunately.}
How wits up now
Respect to Green Jhedi's post, but as a neutral fan with no particular like for any teams i have to laugh at a lot of the posts-both Rangers and Celtic fans are just as bad as each other-but fail to see their own flaws-both spread their poison and are far too obsessed with what the other is doing.why not have celtic fans celebrate their impressive undefeated streak and long awaited title wait and the Rangers fans worry about their clubs future rather than trying to soil celtics achievements with the "tainted" digs
Del
To green jhedi, fair enough mate and good point it`s the average joes that are getting the sack over there but don`t you think they should stop all their tainted title crap?and is this just a case of us being the bigger people that we are anyway,kb-bhoy
What is going on here.......?? Stick it to them HUGE, I have no, nil, zero sympathy for any of that lot. Do you forget these are the peepil who want to wade up to their knees in our blood or indeed send us all home .....!! ffs get a grip....stick it to them !!!
01 Mar 2012 09:36:45
hi ed , i was wondering just out of curiosity if there was a fire sale at ibrox do you think lenny would sign any of their players ? for the life of me i canny think of anybody that would make the hoops any better , in fact i canny even think of any of them who would get in the squad ...... i await a reply to put my mind at ease ... hail hail baz {Ed001's Note - I very much doubt Celtic will even look at any of the players.}
Alexander is about the only one I would even consider as an option or maybe even Aluko.......
Come on, surely we should keep well clear of this mess. Hardly worth the aggro and not very worthy taking your rivals best players when they have ordinary folk getting their jotters over at TFOD. On the other hand why not offer (if we CFC have vacancies) ordinary jobs for ordinary folk, now that would be a charitable and worthy initiative.
Well ed Alan Thompson looked at Alan mcgregor when they were in the pub together {Ed007's Note - OO-ER ;-) I don't think Thommo is Shagger's type!}
Aluko just to noise them up
McGregor is the pick of the bunch, he is a class keeper but his off-field antics would be a nightmare, think he'll end up in the EPL if they go under
Aye get aluko to pay the fee himself though lol

The Herald reported that Islam Feruz
was a no show for the Scotland U17.
GOOD. Hi is an ungrateful little boy
who has no respect for the country
that gave him and his family a new
life.
Hes just a laddie being manipulated by his extended family (probably about 200 of them on the gravy train) as he is an industry for them and an asset. They will pitch him where they get most advantage/money. Hes a pawn in their money making politics and games so we should really feel sorry for the young man.
I heard this story too. Was at the game the other night watching a celtic youngster. Islam had agreed to play for the u17 but beleives he should be in the u21 squad. Anyway was meant to come up for training session last friday ( No Show) then again on monday to meet with squad for tues night s game and again no show. An absolute disgrace after all our Tommy Burns did for him but hey ho thats the money in the game talking again i guess.
Hail Hail
The Happy Turnkey {Ed007's Note - Even since he was down south he he been compared (attitude wise etc) to Balotelli and warned to knuckle down.}
He's gone and forgotton. I doubt we will here much about him unless you want to follow the English 2nd division a few years time
{Ed007's Note - Even since he was down south he he been compared (attitude wise etc) to Balotelli and warned to knuckle down.}
Hey Ed be a laugh if Chelsea let him go.
David {Ed007's Note - Ed002 has fantastic connections at Chelsea, but she is on her travels this week with internationals being on. I will message her and see if she has heard anything behind the scenes about him. Like the above poster has said though, he is gone. Whether he regrets it or not makes no difference.}
Damn that boy for wanting the best life possible for him and his family, shocking.
Drew {Ed007's Note - He is throwing it all away Drew, that is the point.}
Would it surprise anyone in the slightest if he switched his international allegiance to Ingerlund in the future?
