hi ed any news about holmbert aron johnnson sign for celtic {Ed007's Note - It is only down to personal terms being agreed and he will join the cub in January.}

Believable9 Unbelievable5

Ed, I could well be wrong but at the same press conference where he said he was hopeful of Deadly Joe Ledley staying, did Lenny not say that the new lad should be up to speed and pushing for a place by Christmas?
I thought it was weird myself what with the transfer window rules and all that.

Hail Hail
ChrisBhoy {Ed007's Note - Although Fridjonsson will join up and begin training with Neil Lennon's side at the start of December he can not technically sign or play until the window opens in January Chris.
Perhaps NL meant that after the month training he will be up to speed nd ready for January's festive fixture. He definitely can't play before the January window opens.}

That sounds about right Ed

ED007 and ChrisBhoy his agent on STV explained the situation.
The Icelandic season finished 2 months ago, so the boy is not match fit, he will return to Glasgow on 1st December and train with first team which will hopefully bring up his fitness, I would imagine he will probably play in a couple of friendly games also. Timalloy {Ed007's Note - He contract can't be registered to play until the January window opens, all he has signed is a pre-contract agreement like a Bosman. He still needs to wait until the next window opens to register as a CFC player. He will officially sign and become a CFC player on January 1st. The official club site states:

"The highly-rated Icelandic striker put pen to paper on pre-contract agreement with Celtic this morning, with his four-year deal officially starting on January 1, 2014."

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely he can play as a trialist. it's been done already this season! {Ed007's Note - Look pal, this isn't too difficult to understand. Fridjonsson is not a CFC player yet. He has signed a pre-contract to sign for us on January 1st 2014. He can't play as a trialist, he is not a free agent, players who are out of contract and do not have a club, can be signed outside of the transfer window if they were unattached free agents when the previous window closed, Fridjonsson wasn't. Every other player needs to wait on the transfer window opens before completing deals, just as i being reported . I've told you, it is on the official site and numerous other media outlets. That's it, there is no simpler way of explaining it, players can not move club out with the summer or winter transfer windows.}

Apparently Celtic are looking into the possibility of signing Jordan Larsson the son of Henrik. Apparently he is having rave reviews in Sweden and big Johan has had him watched a few times. Surely the Celtic connection would be a big pull for young Jordan and I'd like to think Henrik would tell him to grab the opportunity with both hands. However my only concern about the whole thing is will he be able to live up to the expectations of some Celtic fans can he achieve the great things his father once did at Celtic park. Will the pressure of being the king of kings son be too much to handle for the young lad? I for one would love to see young Jordan come on board with the hoops I remember going to games and seeing him out on the pitch. Would love to see the lad pull on the Celtic jersey for real and hopefully see Larsson 7 on the back of the famous hoops jersey once again.

I would love this young bhoy to grow and flourish at the Hoops my friend. The harsh reality is that the chances are very slim. As you mentioned, expectations. Paul Dalglish springs to mind. Young guys have sooooooooooo many distractions these days that it's no wonder the standard of footie has gone down. I wish the young Jordan all the best. prove me wrong wee man!

Agree1 Disagree0

You have to be good enough to get the chance to pull on the hoops. It's not about who your father is/ was.
If there's other Swedish lads better than him then we should be looking at them first. He doesn't have to be good he has to be the best. Don't let hearts rule heads. (Like the nice fluffy perfect world living wage pullarva. It's a no brainer £500k is too much).

Agree0 Disagree0

^^^ this guys an person. No real grasp of the consensus among majority of fans about the living wage- can only assume he earns above it therefore cares not.

If we sign a player at 500k it's no risk- has no major impact so why if for wages would it be any different?

It's time for those Tory minded amongst us to be reminded what the majority want. 500k too much? My backside, oh and there's a possibility the 500k estimate is rather too large.

If people are helping in the functioning of the club we all adore as their main employment bearing our beginnings in mind- how can we feel it ok to deny them a wage affording them a comfortable lifestyle? Not luxurious or extravagant- just comfortable!

If say £5 a season book was added plus say £1 per match day ticket to help fund the living wage, for all the hard working bhoys and ghirls behind the scenes, would show the charitable nature of our fans . allthough the club must see sense on this issue as we as a club give plenty to worthy causes, maybe it's time to do so under our own roof

Agree0 Disagree0

The £500.000 estimate at the end of the tax year would cost very little as its an expenditure, which would be offset against corporation tax due on profits me thinks.

Agree0 Disagree0

The boy made his first team debut in Sweden several years ahead of his dad so I don't think its all to do with the name. There is a definite confidence in his ability coming from Sweden, however, I feel the young swede atajic deserves his chance first. Swedish football supporters speak unbelievably highly about him and I hope we get a chance to see his ability.

Many have mentioned that them on the other side of the city haven't took the opportunity to play the youngsters but I also feel that could be said about our club

Agree0 Disagree0

I think it would be worth a punt.
We might even get Henrik over as a Striking coach.
The only successful father and son players that come to my mind are The Lampards, The Redknaps, The Kruyffs, The Maldinis and Archie and Scott Gemmill.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mazinho is father of Thiago Alcantara, Abedi Pele is father of the Ayew brothers at Marseille, just to add a couple.

Just sign him. If he grabs one goal in a good ***skelping result in the future I'd give him the key to the city.
